Description
Extensive Sonic Flanging
BLEASS Flanger is a comprehensive flanging effect with a wide range of sonic possibilities thanks to 2 LFOS, 3 Stages of modulation and beat synchronization.
BLEASS Flanger is a rich sounding flanging effect offering a wide range of synchronised modulations which colours sound in a novel and unique way thanks to its complex algorithmic combinations.
This Flanger offers three stages of modulation as well as two LFOs, combined offering great sonic versatility – from classic sine flanger sounds to crazy rhythmic modulations courtesy of its 6 different LFO shapes.
The ability to easily synchronize the flanging effect with the beat makes it ideal to bring subtle flanging variations while evolving harmoniously with a song’s dynamics.

Eternal v2
Flanger by Sinevibes

Description
Barber-Pole Flanger
Eternal by Sinevibes is a barber-pole flanger effect. Unlike a traditional flanger which typically has its tone repeatedly go up and down, this is a flanger that goes upwards or downwards in a seemingly endless fashion. To accomplish this unique “barber-pole” effect, Eternal uses an array of three stereo flangers and six bespoke, thoroughly calibrated low-frequency oscillators. And since these oscillators have a “through-zero” design, it allows Eternal to seamlessly go from downwards to upwards motion and back at your fancy. With two distinct flanger tones thanks to positive or negative feedback, this plugin puts a whole arsenal of unique airy, bubbly and even psychedelic effects in your hands.
Eternal has an intuitive user interface wholly built with color-coded graphics and subtle animations. Together with carefully tuned parameters, this highly musical effect also gives you an enjoyable and inspiring user experience.

Dipole v2
Flanger by Sinevibes
Images
Description
Through-Zero Flanger
Dipole is a through-zero flanger. It employs two delay lines with dual-mode feedback, and one of the delays is able to run earlier or later in time in relation to another. As this time difference passes through the zero point, a very special sound transition occurs: with positive feedback, Dipole produces that coveted spectral “swoosh” effect of a jet plane fly-by – and with negative feedback, the output signal warps and eventually cancels itself out. In the old days of audio production, such effects were created manually using two parallel tape machines - but now Dipole recreates that charismatic flanging, chorusing and psychedelic stereo widening with much higher fidelity and ease of use. The plugin offers both manual control of the zero-point as well as modulation via its built-in multi-waveform generator.
Sound Engine:
- Flanger engine with through-zero time capability and positive/negative feedback
- Modulation generator with four different waveforms and variable stereo phase offset
- Low-cut filter and feedback self-levelling to ensure stable operation even at the most extreme settings
- Lag filters on all continuous parameters for smooth, click-free adjustment
- Supports mono › mono, mono › stereo, and stereo › stereo channel configurations
Graphic Interface:
- Colour-coded graphic elements
- Consistent name, mapping, value, and unit implemented for all parameters in both graphic user interface and host control/automation
- Built-in preset management functions
- Supports window size scaling up to 200%.

Description
Create weirdly cyclic motion in your sound with Flanger. It's sort of similar to a sweeping comb filter.
Creates a flanging effect by mixing the audio with a slightly delayed version of itself. The length of the delay can be adjusted manually and modulated. Optionally, this effect can also add a phase shift between the dry and wet signals to create an infinte barberpole-style flanging effect upwards or downwards.

Antresol
Flanger by D16 Group
Images
Description
An Incarnation of an Iconic Stompbox you will Surely Appreciate
A Legendary Flanger Resurrected
In bringing the classic stompbox back to life, D16 have created a must-have effect plugin that will appeal not only to performing guitarists but to instrumentalists and producers of virtually any genre: whether it’s rock guitar riffs or melodic synth lines you’re into, you’ll find that the extreme attention to sonic detail coupled with the flexibility afforded by modern technology in Antresol make it the perfect example of what a flanger should be in the modern era. The original, conceived in the mid-70s, quickly became a benchmark for flanger-type effects by offering a uniquely rich character defined by luxuriously harmonious interacting resonances and has been heard ever since on countless classic recordings. That’s why D16 couldn’t resist the opportunity to resurrect the soul of this classic in a thoroughly modern incarnation with Antresol, D16's newest effect in the SilverLine Collection!
Loaded with features way beyond the original
Antresol's users can also enjoy absolute freedom of control over every aspect of the BBD-based delay line (including such nuances as calibration of the linearity of the clocking system or the number of analogue memory cells constituting the backbone of the BBD). Fashioning a flanger sound that is uniquely you yet retains all the richness and warmth afforded by the original, classic circuit design has never been easier!
In addition to the standard parameter knobs found on the face of the original unit, there is also a wide range of deeper parameters available to tweak, such the on-PCB trimpots which would normally be inaccessible without taking the stompbox apart. Some even go far beyond those you could find in common flanger-type effects: a fully controllable LFO (with adjustable phase and rate sync to a host application’s tempo); the ability to delink the stereo channels and control the most important parameters independently for left and right (or mid/side, depending on selected mode), and more. Try the demo today and see where your imagination takes you!
True BBD emulation with Total control
An exceptionally accurate emulation of an impulse-controlled, solid-state analogue delay line (a Bucket Brigade Device) is responsible for the impeccable sonic characteristics found in Antresol. Effects based on high-quality BBD emulations stand out with remarkable, even seductive warmth, and D16 have no doubt that the tremendous success of D16’s first foray into BBD delay line emulation, the chorus plugin Syntorus, has been directly attributable to this approach.
The key element around which Antresol is designed, an analogue BBD integrated circuit, proved to offer some unique challenges for a digital emulation of this type. In particular, the feedback parameter showed some weaknesses in the form of improper shapes of emerging peaks and notches in the frequency response, forcing us back to the drawing board. After much R&D, D16's Eureka moment came in the form of a much-refined BBD emulation using quasi-analog signal representation throughout, guaranteeing behaviour much more akin to the original, physical circuit. While a bit chaotic, it includes all the benefits and subtleties the analogue domain can offer—unlike a deterministic, classically digital algorithm—and all this without any unwanted artefacts such as aliasing (something D16 always take great pains to minimize)… and all with the rock-solid stability only digital can offer!
Spectrum Comparison
Frequency responses comparison of Electric Mistress stompbox and Antresol for whole variety of feedback values. All tests were performed using white noise as source signal and calibrated spectral analysing software.
The figure below shows how faithful the emulation is by comparing the upper range of the spectrum, where usually all emulations fail. Look how both responses match even at the highest frequencies. The analysis was done for frequencies from 6 kHz up to a bit above 18 kHz.
Features
- True emulation of BBD based analogue delay line
- Optional independent parameter control for each stereo channel
- Selectable L/R or M/S stereo processing modes
- Mistress mode allows the whole unit to work the same as the classic flanger
- LFO can be synchronized with your host application
- 3 different LFO-to-BBD clock curves
- Ultra-low-aliasing output
- A highly musical and pleasant sound
- Tag-based browser
- Two alternative GUI sizes
- MIDI-learn functionality throughout
- 64bit internal processing

Flanger BL-20
Flanger by Arturia
Images
Description
Advanced Modulation Powerhouse
The flanger effect but not as you know it. Based on a beloved studio classic, Flanger BL-20 is unpredictable and inspiring in equal measure, pushing the familiar jet-engine effect into endless modulation territory. Add massive movement and harmonic depth to your mix with the only flanger you’ll ever need.
An Unsung Hero in the World of Modulation Effects
A rare gem that’s renowned for its mysterious complexity. Flanger BL-20’s hardware predecessor may not be a household name, but its hypnotic sound and radical feature set speaks for itself.
Toggle and combine multiple modulation sources, manipulate the LFO shape and stereo spread, plunge harmonic sweeps to uncharted depths. Flanger BL-20 is no ordinary analogue emulation - it’s an FX toolkit gone supersonic.
3 Modulation Sources
Choose between Auto (LFO), Env (internal or external) or Manual, or any combination of the 3, for an array of flanger sounds unlike anything you’ve ever heard.
Stereo Enhancer
Operate Flanger BL-20 in either mono or stereo mode, and manipulate the stereo spread of the modulated signal for ultra-wide presence in your mix.
Zero-Crossing
Due to a tiny delay applied to the dry signal, the modulated signal doubles back over the original starting point, resulting in a classic deep flange with prominent ‘blips’ in the sound.
BBD Warmth
Flanger BL-20 uses authentic bucket-brigade device circuitry replication to emulate the original unit’s gloriously warm analogue response.
Advanced Controls
Change the Auto LFO shape, tweak the stereo spread - Artutia even added an advanced function generator from Pigments. Vintage charm meets cutting-edge.
Presets
A curated selection of 28 presets, giving you instant access to the energetic movement and analogue brilliance of Flanger BL-20.
Reaching Absolute Zero
The flanger effect is achieved by modulating a delayed version of your signal using an LFO. Flanger BL-20 expands this principle in multiple directions. By applying an undetectable delay to the dry signal, the modulated signal is able to reach - and eventually pass over - the original starting point of the signal. This totally cancels out certain frequencies - resulting in distinct dips in the sound. This is known as ‘zero-crossing’ or ‘through-zero’ flanging, perfect for that dynamite ‘80s guitar sound.
Finally, the option of multiple modulation sources gives Flanger BL-20 a uniquely animated quality. Use the default LFO, a responsive envelope follower, or a static manual override - there’s nothing quite like it.
Added Sweetener
A crucial element of Flanger BL-20’s sound is the bucket-brigade device circuitry emulation.
Arturia meticulously replicated this circuitry in virtual form to ensure a pristine analogue response. Not only does BL-20 offer mind-blowing modulation capabilities - it adds that desirable vintage sparkle that plugins often lack.
This makes it a formidable mix sweetener, whatever your style. Enhance your rhythm guitar parts, animate your backing vocal tracks, enrich a repetitive drum loop; whatever your application, it will simply sound better.
Advanced Controls
Flanger BL-20 goes far beyond the familiar flanger principles, retrofitted with cutting-edge functions and parameters to encourage a little healthy exploration. Modulation let loose.
-
Function Generator: For extra flexibility, Arturia added the function generator from Pigments. Use this feature to override the Manual modulation source for a totally customized response.
-
Hi-Pass Filter: Apply a Hi-pass filter on the input signal to moderate the unique zero-crossing sound. Expect clearer frequencies, or interesting regen behavior if you’re feeling adventurous.
-
Auto LFO Shape: By default, the LFO is a simple triangle waveform. Now choose from 4 additional shapes; sine, square, sawtooth and reverse sawtooth.
-
Stereo Offset: Manipulate the stereo spread of the dry and wet signals, and toggle a reverse sweep switch in tandem, for a swirling larger-than-life sound.

- Function Generator: For extra flexibility, Arturia added the function generator from Pigments. Use this feature to override the Manual modulation source for a totally customized response.
- Hi-Pass Filter: Apply a Hi-pass filter on the input signal to moderate the unique zero-crossing sound. Expect clearer frequencies, or interesting regen behavior if you’re feeling adventurous.
- Auto LFO Shape: By default, the LFO is a simple triangle waveform. Now choose from 4 additional shapes; sine, square, sawtooth and reverse sawtooth.
- Stereo Offset: Manipulate the stereo spread of the dry and wet signals, and toggle a reverse sweep switch in tandem, for a swirling larger-than-life sound.
- External Envelope: Trigger the envelope follower using an external source. Get your tracks talking to each other and relish the exciting results.

Instant Flanger Mk II

Description
Classic Flanging for a Modern Mix
The Instant Flanger Mk II brings the great sound of vintage tape flanging to your plug-in toolbox. An authentic emulation of the original 1975 studio rackmount, the Instant Flanger was famously used on David Bowie’s “Ashes to Ashes” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time." A truly versatile tool, engineers and producers have used it for stereo sweetening, subtle modulations, double-tracking, and extreme flanging effects.
Spread the Sound Around with Pseudo Stereo
Turn flat mono guitars into huge stereo leads or have your single-channel synthesizer fill out the sides of your mix with pseudo-stereo. The Instant Flanger Mk II has dual outputs that create three different sonic images - “Shallow”, “Deep”, and “Wide”. Combining “Wide” Mode with the “Low Cut” control is an easy way to place multiple harmonies behind the lead. Fine-tune the resonance of your flanging effect by using the “Depth” and “Feedback” controls.
True End-to-end Emulation
Tape machines use servo motors to run at a constant speed and when an engineer pressed a thumb on the flange and then suddenly let go, the capstan motor servo reacts - overshooting and undershooting as it seeks to recover proper speed. In other words, it ‘bounces’. The Instant Flanger convincingly mimicked this behaviour with its innovative "Bounce" control knob. Use this feature to add a real-world groove to your tracks.

Fix Flanger and Doubler
Flanger by Softube
Images
Description
From the mind of legendary audio equipment designer Paul Wolff comes the new Fix Flanger and Fix Doubler. They take the legacy and sound of classic flanging and vocal doubling of the 1960s, but with all the benefits of the digital world.
In 1979, Paul Wolff formalized a vision which was turned into an exclusive limited edition hardware, that became loved among musicians and sound engineers. In 2015, the Fix Flanger and Doubler is the reincarnation of this vision—a plug-in package that handles hands-on flanging with unique stereo widening methods, as well as vocal doubling with lush chorus and rich textures.
Classic Flanging Reimagined
The Fix Flanger is versatility personified—this flanger is capable of both classic guitar pedal style flanging with a automatically swept flange as well as direct interaction in the manual mode. A VSO mode features unprecedented hands-on control with emulated servo motor bounce and true cross zero flanging, just like a tape machine. Added features such as tap tempo sweep, unique stereo widening methods and selectable delay polarity makes the Fix Flanger the swiss army knife of flangers.
Doubling Made Simple
The Fix Doubler delivers texture and extraordinary richness to vocals and polyphonic instruments. The algorithms of the Fix Flanger, combined with a streamlined interface and Paul Wolff's unique Auto Double algorithm, makes it easier than ever to get lush chorus and rich layers to your vocal track. With Auto Double, you can get smooth doubling without flanging at delays as low as 3 ms, which no one has ever been able to do before.
