Description

A Complete Mixing Workspace in Your Headphones

Important Note: This is the Realphones Lite Pack. The following versions are also available:

dSONIQ Realphones re-creates acoustic environment of recording studio control room in your headphones and corrects their frequency response. With Realphones, your headphones will turn into a reliable monitoring tool for mixing tracks that you can trust.

Realphones gives you everything you missed for sound mixing using headphones! A meticulously picked set of features will help you understand how your track will sound at a studio or elsewhere without taking your headphones off.

With Realphones You Can:

  • Correct the frequency response of your headphones.
  • Emulate a studio control room with professional near- and far-field monitoring.
  • Use binaural virtual positioning based on HRTF.
  • Simulate the frequency response of professional and home/consumer audio reproduction systems.
  • Monitor the spatial and frequency components of the mix.

Realphones 1.7 has a new simplified interface, which we added at the request of users. Now the interaction with the Realphones is much easier since there are only three intuitive main controls.

Easy Mode

A new interface is called “Easy mode”. Thanks to this, new users will be able to significantly improve the quality of their headphone monitoring in just a few clicks!

The “Easy mode” has no compromise in sound quality. It has the same engine with simplified controls which let you change the sound of Realphones in a much more convenient way.

You can switch from Easy Mode to classic Advanced Mode and back.

What’s New in Version 1.7?

  • “Easy mode” introduced: additional simplified interface with no compromise in sound quality
  • 3 new headphone emulation profiles: Dynamic Open, Dynamic Closed and Gentle Response
  • New factory presets added
  • Offline export control: now it’s possible to mixdown through Realphones

How Does Realphones' Technology Work?

Alignment of Headphone Frequency Response

Peaks and dips lead to errors in timbre and musical balance and cause frequency masking. A more even response allows you to get a more reliable transfer of timbre and musical balance.

Frequency response graphs of individual samples of six popular professional studio headphone models

Frequency response grаphs of the same samples after Realphones Standard frequency correction was applied

Virtual Acoustic Space

Conventional Headphones' Stereo Reproduction

Phone transducers are located close to the ears and are acoustically isolated from each other.

  • Imaginary sound sources are spaced too widely and not joined into a solid soundstage
  • The spectral balance between the centre and sides is disturbed
  • An absence of room response leads to a dry and thin sound

Binaural Angle Set to 60°

Psychoacoustic virtual source placement matches the reproduction of a standard studio monitor setup.

  • The representation of the mix and its components becomes solid.
  • The level and frequency balance between the centre and sides is reconstructed.
  • Proper localisation and interaction of the sound sources are necessary for creative work on the width and depth of the mix.

Room Ambience Set to 100%

The binaurally captured ambience of professional studio control rooms is added to the dry headphone sound.

  • The mix is reproduced in the context of real room acoustics.
  • The body, transients and space of the mix are revealed.
  • Room reflections provide points to tweak the levels, equalisation, space and effects for a better mix translation.

Mix Testing Tools

Realphones includes modelling of diverse sets of pro and consumer audio speakers so you can verify the behaviour of your mix across a wide range of simulated speakers.

Also, there are controls for various aspects of the stereo mix. Test mono compatibility, left-right symmetry, single-speaker playback and the side anti-phase component.

How Can Realphones Benefit You Personally?

Do you lack a suitable acoustically treated space? Do you have to work on mixing tracks at home, in a room with terrible background noise and reverb, and even professional monitors aren't enough to get the results you want?

With the Realphones plugin, the possibilities for mixing on headphones approach the conditions of a professional recording studio's control room. You'll be able to trust your monitoring, making the mixing process much simpler. And your family and neighbours will no longer have to put up with intrusive sounds and loud music.

If you have access to a professional audio studio, you'll be able to use Realphones for supplementary monitoring in the studio, and also as a primary tool for working on tracks outside it.

In studios with unfamiliar acoustics, you will always have access to the controls you're used to.

Modes for emulating various audio devices help you determine how your mixes would sound on consumer speakers, systems with a powerful subwoofer or portable devices, without even getting up from your desk.

Also if you are travelling a lot the Realphones plugin is ideal for working on mixes on the road and when travelling. All you need is the plugin, headphones, and a laptop. Realphones is honest monitoring that's easy to take on the go.

Description

Mixing Room Experience with the Convenience of Headphones

For many audio professionals, listening on headphones is a necessary evil. Perhaps you need headphones when tracking? Perhaps you need to work away from your studio? Or perhaps your studio has that one neighbour that simply can't enjoy your creative output at 3 AM in the morning? Listening through headphones creates an unnatural sound that's quite different from how we hear music from speakers.

Re-Head will create a mixing room experience when using headphones, even when recording distorted guitars and other instruments that tend to sound unnaturally in-your-face in a headphone mix.

At the centre is a head response model that mimics the effect of your own skull on your hearing when listening through loudspeakers. Add to that stereo processing to avoid the hard-panned sound so common in headphones, a spectrum analyzer and EQ. There is even an impulse response representation of your favoured mixing room to let you feel right at home, even when you're not.

Re-Head won't replace your favourite studio monitors, for sure. But it will make the transition from speakers to headphones less dramatic.

Features

  • "Head response" model: get a more natural tone when working with headphones.
  • Adjust the position and the angle between the virtual speakers.
  • Adjust the brightness.
  • Built-in EQ and spectrum analyzer.
  • Impulse response (IR) loader to mimic your listening room, and compensate actual headphones.
  • Flip left and right channels.
  • No latency.
  • Blue Cat Audio Standards

  • Available in most plug-in formats for Mac and Windows.
  • Full MIDI control and automation support, MIDI Learn.
  • No CPU load on idle: processing shuts down when fed with silence (optimal CPU usage).
  • Customizable user interface with transparency & zoom.
  • Smooth Bypass: noiseless plug-in activation / deactivation.
  • Undo/Redo.
  • Full-featured integrated presets manager.
  • Copy/paste the state of the plug-in between instances.
  • Any sample rate supported.

REFERENCE 2

Referencing Tools by Mastering The Mix

Images

Description

Get closer than ever to the sound of your favourite mixes.

Ever felt your mix didn’t sound as good as your reference tracks? It can be frustrating not knowing exactly how to get your music comparable to your favourite mixes. That’s why Mastering The Mix created REFERENCE. It’s packed with powerful tools and never seen before insights to help you get closer than ever to the sound of your favourite music.

Key Benefits

  • Compare your mix or master to up to 12 reference tracks and create multiple loops so you can quickly compare various sections of your track to your reference.
  • Instantly and accurately match the loudness of your track and your references. This is crucial for a fair comparison and for making informed decisions on how to shape your sound.
  • Visual and actionable insights to make matching the true peak, loudness, EQ balance, punch, and stereo width of your reference tracks easier than ever.
  • Includes an additional source plugin called REFSEND that allows you to bypass entire FX chains to make loudness-matched A/B comparisons.

How To Use REFERENCE 2

1. Load Your References

Load up an instance of REFERENCE as the final plugin on your master bus. REFERENCE should come after your metering plugin but before any speaker / headphone calibration software (if you use it). Drag and drop the reference tracks you want to use onto the Wave Transport.

2. Level Match

Your mix will most likely be a lot quieter than your reference tracks giving you the misconception that it has a weaker bass and less clarity in the high frequencies. The Level Match button will allow you to compare your mix to the reference tracks without bias, allowing you to make informed mixing decisions.

3. Gain Insights

The visuals in the Trinity Display show you how your EQ balance, stereo width and compression compares to your reference track. You can also click to solo a frequency band allowing you to zone in on the intricate differences between your mix and your references.

MCompare

Referencing Tools by MeldaProduction

Description

MCompare is the ultimate reference tool for mixing and mastering allowing you to quickly compare your audio to any audio file and stages of your processing chain, and saves you from loudness deception.

Astonishing Workflow for the Essential Task

Comparing your audio to a reference commercial track is essential for every mixing and mastering engineer. Of course you can do that in your host, but the workflow is what matters here. And it cannot be any easier. Press one button and the plugin quickly crossfades between your track and whatever track you choose. Press another one to choose a different track. Or a different stage of your mastering chain for example...

Better or Just Louder?

Your ears can fool you whether you like it or not. Louder music makes you think it sounds better. It lets you feel spectral and spatial balance incorrectly. It lets you ignore acoustic errors hidden under the loud wall of sound, but this plugin can help you avoid that! It can automatically make the reference tracks match the loudness of your own track. With MCompare you don't need to doubt your senses anymore. If your audio will sound better, it really will be better, not just louder.

Does Your Master Actually Sound Better?

How many times did you spend hours working on your project and just when you felt it's perfect, you took a break and when you listened to it afterwards you were horrified? That's because your ears fooled you somewhere on the road.

MCompare lets you compare your master to multiple stages in your chain, the dry mix for starters. It will compensate for any latency and match the loudness, so you will really be comparing the sonic qualities of your master and don't let your ears deceive you! So when you start doing something wrong, you will know quickly enough, in one click to be precise.

The Ultimate Mastering Chain with Referencing

MCompare is the only plugin that lets you compare your master to the chosen reference tracks, dry mix, different stages of your mastering chaing and even different versions of your mastering chain. All in a single instance, where everything is one click away. It just cannot be any easier.

Features

  • The Most Advanced User Interface on the Market - Stylable, Resizable, GPU Accelerated

  • Modern user interfaces must not only be easy and quick to use, but also versatile and the whole visual appearance should inspire you. MCompare features the most advanced GUI engine on the market. It is still the first and only GUI engine, which is freely resizable and stylable. It also lets you choose between knobs, sliders or buttons, whichever you like the most.
  • The plugin can look as an ancient vintage gear, if you are working on old-school rock music. Or as super-modern futuristic device if you are working on modern electronic music.
  • If your display doesn't have a high resolution, you can make the plugin smaller. If the fonts are too small, you can make the plugin bigger and save your eyes.
  • All the graphics is accelerated using your GPU, graphical interface, providing ultimately quick response and keep your CPU focused on the audio.
  • Unique Visualisation Engine with Classic Meters and Time Graphs

  • Your ears should always be the main judge, but a smart metering system can often be a huge help. MCompare provides the most advanced metering system out there. The plugin can display the measurements of all relevant values using classic meters, or it can even show them in time using the time graphs. Everything is customisable as usual.
  • M/S, Single Channel, Up to 8 Channels Surround Processing...

  • MCompare can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also mid/side encoding for stereo field processing, separate left & right channels, separate mid or side signal and up to 8 channels of surround audio. It is perfect for audio production for music, movies, games...
  • MIDI Controllers with MIDI Learn

  • MCompare contains a powerful MIDI processor, which listen to MIDI controllers and MIDI keyboard and control any parameters realtime.
  • Very Fast, Optimized for SSE/SSE2/SSE3 Processors

  • Computers are now extremely fast, but the algorithms are more complex and projects bigger, so we still need to use the processing power with care. MCompare uses the fastest algorithms, takes advantage of the newest processor capabilities and lets your GPU hangle the graphics. The plugin is among the fastest on the market, yet it provides the best possible audio quality.
  • Global Preset Management and Online Preset Exchange

  • MCompare presets are carefully stored in a system database and you can quickly access then from any project in any host. The plugin can automatically share your presets and download presets of other users from our servers. We are building a community and you can be a part of it!
  • Supports VST, VST3, AU and AAX Interfaces on Windows & Mac, both 32-bit and 64-bit

  • MCompare supports all major hosts on both platforms. Check system requirements for information about compatibility and installation.
  • No Dongle nor Internet Access is Required for Activation

  • How many times did you forget your USB dongle? We are an honest company and expect the same from our customers. Our software uses licence files to activate your software. And the licences are to-person, so you can use it on all your computers as long as you are the user.
  • Free-for-Life Updates

  • When you buy the software you are entitled to free updates, forever. No more money wasted on major upgrades like it is with other companies. And we upgrade our software a lot!

EXPOSE 2

Referencing Tools by Mastering The Mix

Images

Description

Please Note: An upgrade is also available for previous owners of EXPOSE 1.

Please Note: This is a standalone product, not a plugin and as such will not work within a DAW.

Release Your Music with Confidence

EXPOSE 2 is a standalone audio quality control application that helps you identify issues with your music.

So many tracks get distributed with a poor EQ balance, true peak clipping, over-compression, phase issues, and more. Mastering the Mix wants you to catch these issues before it's too late. With EXPOSE 2, you can deliver the best listening experience and release your music with confidence.

How Will EXPOSE Transform Your Music Productions?

  • Overview - Drop your music into EXPOSE to identify any technical issues before releasing it to the world.
  • Problem Solved - So many tracks get distributed with a poor EQ balance, true peak clipping, over-compression, phase issues, and more. It takes 3 seconds to identify these issues in EXPOSE before it's too late.
  • Get Started - Open EXPOSE (it’s a standalone app, so you won't need a DAW) then drag and drop your music into it. Select the preset based on your distribution method (streaming, club, CD, etc). The analysis feedback gives you specific feedback on how to resolve the issues and optimize your music for release within your DAW.
  • Highlight 1 - Helps you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud club master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites.
  • Highlight 2 - See how the average tonal balance of your song compares to your reference track, or our genre-specific presets. All of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks.

How to use EXPOSE 2 in 6 Simple Steps

1. Load A Track - Open the application and drag your audio onto the dashboard.

2. Select A Preset - Select where your audio will be heard at the top, such as Spotify, Youtube, CD etc. Then select your tonal balance profile by loading a reference track or choosing from the presets.

3. Readings - The four sections give you detailed information about the loudness, peaks, stereo/phase information, and dynamic range of your audio. You can create a loop to see the readings of specific sections of your song.

4. Identify Issues - If EXPOSE detects that issues would arise, the section icon will turn red. Click on the section icon to isolate the issues on the waveform to see the exact location of the issues. The analysis feedback will give you specific guidance to help you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites.

5. Check Your Tonal Balance - Compare EQ shows how your average tonal balance compares to your imported reference track. Or you can select a genre-specific preset, all of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks. Anything within ±3dB represents a very similar tonal balance. Anything greater than ±6dB would represent a considerable difference in tonal balance and you may wish to make adjustments.

6. Loudness Match and Playback - You can click the play icon or hit the spacebar to preview the audio. Click Loudness Match to normalize all audio to the same perceived volume for unbiased comparison.

Features

  • Compare EQ shows how your average tonal balance compares to your imported reference track. Or you can select a genre-specific preset, all of which were created using sonic profiles from commercially successful tracks. This will allow you to check that your music aligns with your sonic goals and isn’t too muddy, dull, thin, or harsh before releasing.
  • Loudness Match normalizes the playback of all tracks in EXPOSE using a LUFS algorithm. The human ear perceives louder music to have a fuller bass and more clarity in the high frequencies. Loudness matching removes this bias and enables you to make more informed decisions for your music.
  • Analysis Feedback gives you specific guidance on how to adjust your audio to get the sound you’re looking for. This helps you hit your technical goals, whether you’re aiming for a super-loud club master, or trying to optimize your music to sound great on streaming sites. (27 presets, and 5 user preset slots)
  • User Interface with user experience and workflow improvements.
  • Get the technical details of your track in seconds. (LUFS Integrated, Short-term, decibels true-peak, left-right heat map, phase heat map, dynamic range, loudness range)
  • When issues have been detected the readouts and waveform are highlighted to show you exactly where the issue is.
  • Measurements Include:
  • Integrated LUFS
  • Short Term LUFS
  • Decibels True Peak (16X Oversampling)
  • Sample Peak
  • Left / Right heat map
  • Correlation heat map
  • Short Term Dynamic Range
  • Loudness Range

Turn your studio monitors into classic reference monitors or several consumer devices to hear, what your audience will hear.

All Available MixChecker Versions:

Everyone who mixes content for the audience has to make sure, that their mixes sound great in every environment. That must be done quickly and easily.

This ultimate mixing assistant will help you to get better mixes instantly. MixChecker saves your precious time. Plug it in the master track of your project as the last segment of your listening chain and quickly turn your studio monitors into classic reference monitors or several consumer devices.

Have you ever wondered why your music, videos, showreels and movies do not sound well when you move out of your studio? Why do they lose the punch and clarity that your awesome studio monitors deliver? That is because you do not use the same equipment the real people use. To bring the best quality to your audience, you need to check your mixes as often as possible. That is why Audified made MixChecker. Because they know that You mix for the People.

Key Features

  • Simulations of average/standard consumer commercial devices
  • Compensation for smaller monitors
  • Hear what your audience will hear
  • Instant check - instant corrections
  • No more extra exports
  • An enormous amount of time saved

Do You Hear What They Hear?

The consumers, the people you are mixing your content for, do not use high-end studio monitors. They watch TV, listen to music in their cars. They even use their desktop speakers, tablets and smartphones or their earphones. You need your mix to sound great despite what lousy conditions your audience uses.

Your Studio

Have you ever wondered why your music, videos, showreels, and movies do not sound well when you move out of your studio? Why do they lose the punch and clarity that your awesome studio monitors deliver? That is because you do not use the same equipment the real people use.

Your Audience

To bring the best quality to your audience, you need to check your mixes as often as possible. This is why Audified made MixChecker. Because they know that You mix for the People. Plug it in the master track of your project as the last segment of your listening chain and quickly turn your studio monitors into classic reference monitors or several consumer devices.

No More Extra Exports

In past, to ensure your mix sounds right on any device, you had to export your sound and listen in different conditions. Import your mix to your smartphone, burn on CD and listen in your car, get back to your studio, do little tweaks and export again...

Now you can use the MixChecker to perform a quick round test that will only take a few seconds. And get back to mixing and corrections while you still know what the problem in your mix was.

What It Does

MixChecker functions are divided into two sections. The Simulation offers acoustic models of several consumer devices and classic reference monitors. Pressing a single button will turn your monitors into the selected device. Not all studio monitors deliver a flat frequency response. Therefore, Audified also added the Compensation section. It will allow you to tell MixChecker, you are using an average of 5" or 8" speakers or headphones. That will change the resulting sound accordingly. The Bypass button turns all processing off. When illuminated, only the clean signal comes through MixChecker.

The Bypass button turns all processing off. When illuminated, only the clean signal comes through MixChecker.

How Audified Made It

Audified measured the frequency responses and behaviour of all the devices listed in MixChecker in laboratory conditions to create their true and faithful models that you can rely on.

Description

A Complete Mixing Workspace in Your Headphones

Important Note: This is the Realphones Ultimate Pack.

MixChecker Versions

Double Check Your Mix

Simulate the devices and environment of your audience to make your mix exceptional for everyone!

Everyone who mixes content for the audience has to make sure that the mixes sound great on every consumer device. It can be done quickly and easily with MixChecker or MixChecker Pro. With tons of new features, the two let you simulate the exact surroundings and devices of your listeners. Because

Features

  • Simulations of many additional consumer devices
  • Simulation of device distortion
  • Background noise
  • Auto-advance function
  • Remote control from iOS, Android and browsers
  • Simple user interface
  • What's New In MixChecker Pro?

  • Everything! Even though the interface has the same elegance and ease of use as the original MixChecker.

  • New Simulations - All characteristics are newly measured, the processing engine is completely different with lower latency and phase linearity. No simple impulse responses inside.
  • Create Sets of Simulations - Drag the selected simulations in any order to the MixChecker button. Save your selection to several button sets together with stereo base width and volume level for each button.
  • Custom Settings and Labels for Buttons - The MixChecker buttons have several adjustable parameters. You may even assign the same simulated device to several buttons, each with unique settings. To distinguish between them, there could be a custom label placed on each button.
  • Distortion - Audified are experts in exact modelling of distortions and saturations, either of speakers or of amps, preamps and other circuits. Audified used this experience and added modelling of these distortions to MixChecker Pro.
  • Background Noise - MixChecker adds a possibility to add some audio background with adjustable volume. The combination with simulated devices is quite sophisticated: When you select simulation of phones, the path of the noise through the headphones and ears is simulated, so you hear the realistic combination of the mix playing from headphones and of the nose, coming through headphones from outside.
  • Auto Advance - You don't need to browse through simulations manually. The adjustable auto advance function does it for you.
  • Advanced Stereo Modes - Except for simple Mono mode, MixChecker offers channel swap, listening to each channel separately on both monitors. Furthermore, each simulation has an adjustable width of the stereo base.
  • Web Browser, iOS and Android Remote Control - MixChecker Pro comes accompanied by a web browser, mobile phone or tablet control. You may walk around your studio when checking the final mix, save the valuable screen size.
  • And more Improvements - Like interface zoom, calibration, ...
  • The Science Powering the Simulations

  • The original MixChecker contains only the simulation of the linear behaviour of the devices. Audified not only added the modelling of non-linear behaviour, but have also completely rewritten the original processing to achieve phase linearity, lower latency and better resolution in all parts of the frequency spectrum.

  • Your Studio

  • Have you ever wondered why your music, videos, showreels, and movies do not sound well when you move out of your studio? That is because you do not use the same equipment the real people use. And you don't listen in the same environment and conditions as your audience.

  • Your Audience

  • MixChecker Pro turns your studio monitors into consumer devices. It adds some background noise and it simulates the distortion and narrow stereo base of the real listening conditions.

  • New Button Settings

  • The magic of MixChecker Pro is that it has so many new features while it´s still as easy to use as the original MixChecker. Why? Because it offers the new Edit mode. In Edit mode, you can assign any simulated device to any device button, set the distortion amount for that exact device, adjust the stereo base width as well as the volume of the device. The simulated devices are organized into categories, so the searching is super-fast and intuitive. Once you have your button set saved, MixChecker Pro exits the Edit mode and you work just as with the original MixChecker.

  • New Pro Functions

  • The default view of the new MixChecker Pro has a small adjustments panel at the bottom of the plugin GUI. Here you can adjust some handful settings for the background noise, setup the mono button and if you are not sure if you have reached the distortion threshold or if you are afraid of any hard-clipping during the work, there are 2 LED indicators to show you.

  • How Audified Made It...

  •

  •

  • Audified spent weeks measuring the frequency responses and behaviour of all the devices in laboratory conditions to create the true models you can rely on. Accurate Reference Sound For Perfect Translation

The main purpose of great sound translation is delivering the artist’s exact intent to the listener. SoundID Reference delivers consistently accurate studio reference sound across all speakers and headphones so you can mix with confidence and make music that sounds great everywhere.

Why is Speaker Calibration Important?

Speaker calibration with SoundID Reference removes unwanted sound colouration and delivers accurate studio reference sound across your speakers and headphones. As a result, you hear every detail across the frequency response spectrum and can trust every mixing decision you make.

Setting up SoundID Reference for Speakers in 3 easy steps

  1. Start With Acoustic Treatment - SoundID Reference is not a substitute for acoustic treatment. We highly recommend treating your room before calibrating your speakers.
  2. Proceed with the Measurement Process - After installing the software you can proceed with your speaker calibration. Speaker calibration requires a measurement microphone — you can buy one from us or use your own. The measurement process takes only 15 minutes.
  3. Finish your Setup - After the measurement is completed, save your speaker profile and apply correction using the plugin in your favourite DAW or use the SoundID Reference app to correct sound from any source on your computer.

Why is Headphone Calibration Important?

SoundID Reference sets the frequency response target to be completely flat across all audible frequencies. The headphone frequency response target is designed to emulate neutral-sounding speakers. With calibrated headphones, you can seamlessly switch between speakers, headphones, projects, and mix with full confidence in sound.

Take Control of Your Listening Environment With These Key Features

DAW Plugin and Systemwide Calibration

Works in all major DAWs as a plugin and as a standalone Systemwide app calibrating audio across your entire system.

Custom Target

Make custom adjustments to the target curve in real-time and manually select the frequency range that the calibration will be applied.

3 Filter Modes

Select between different filter processing modes - zero latency for live tracking, mixed or linear phase delivering ultimate audio clarity.

Translation Check

Access a library of 20 predefined simulations that will allow checking the mix in different listening environments.
