MTurboDelay
Delay by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MTurboDelay is the ultimate delay providing 39 delay plugins in a single beast. That means 39 completely different delay designs inspired by both analog and digital worlds, brought to a whole new level.
One of the most Important Creative Plugins
A delay is the first tool you probably try when you want to turn something boring into something interesting, lush, mesmerizing... But there are pretty much infinite ways a delay may sound. So we implemented so many of them, that your only problem will be to choose, which you like the most. These are no basic echoes, these are complex algorithms with various numbers of taps, advanced feedback processing from filtering to pitch-shifting and distortion and much more.
Better than Individual Plugins
So why wouldn't you just buy many delay plugins and choose from them? Well, MTurboDelay will be a way cheaper and faster solution. It will let you switch between them by a single click and we have unified the workflow, so it will take you minutes to get used to each delay. Comparing them is also available by a single click. You will save time and the plugin will let you focus on what's really important - the sound.

Windows
- Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- VST / VST3 / AAX compatible host (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support
Always use 32-bit plugins in 32-bit hosts, or 64-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts!
64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable.
Mac OS X
- Mac OS X 10.9 and newer (64-bit only)
- VST / VST3 / AU / AAX compatible host (64-bit only)
- Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support or Apple Silicon processor

Imperial Delay
Delay by Boz Digital Labs
Images
Description
Imperial Delay is designed to be a fast moving, powerful beast of a delay. It gives you complete control over every nuance of your delay, but does so in a way that doesn't get in the way of your creative side.
Easy to Use. Insanely Powerful.
Imperial Delay was designed from the beginning with two goals: Be the most powerful delay, and be easy to use. As it turns out, those two requirements tend to be at odds with each other. Some delays give you lots of control but require you to get out your lab coat and calculator in order to use it. Other delays sound great with only a couple knobs, but give you almost no options. Imperial Delay does both.
Every option that you would need in a delay is available at the twist of a single knob. If you need more control over those effects, you can enter the advanced controls and experiment to your heart’s content.
Boz Digital Labs’ new preset management system lets you save presets that go far beyond your DAW’s preset saving ability.

Objeq Delay
Delay by Applied Acoustics Systems
Images
Description
Beyond Traditions
Objeq Delay is a creative effect plug-in combining acoustic filtering with a clever delay unit. The plate, beam, drumhead, and string objects impart evocative acoustic resonances to the input signal. Further shaping is also available via low- and high-cut filters. The in-series delay acts as a classic unit or can split the first and subsequent repeats to either remodel the attack or create complex rhythmic patterns. An LFO module completes the package with comprehensive modulation destinations to the filter, resonator, and delay parameters.
"Objeq delay is a truly creative and fun effect with multifaceted applications, " said Eric Thibeault, the product's designer, "Objeq Delay is obviously a great delay unit, but the complete feature set takes it to another level. The acoustic resonator is a great percussion track enhancer—it's fantastic on kicks and snares. The split between the first and subsequent echoes can mangle simple loops into new complex rhythms. The LFO allows various modulator-type effects such as flanger and chorus. And then when you bring it all together, a highly resonant object with the delay brings you into the drones territory."
Objeq Delay is a creative delay unit with unique filtering options thanks to our acoustic object models. Going beyond traditional delay duties, Objeq Delay delivers modulator type effects, drum track layering, one-shot re-crafting, dynamic loop mangling, and drones…
Echoes - 35 Presets
Objeq Delay kits out an extensive Delay module. Whether it’s for psychoacoustic effects, slap, rhythmic, or super lush space-out echoes, with modulation and feedback filters, Objeq Delay covers the whole gamut of delay possibilities.
Modulators - 44 Presets
Objeq Delay boasts a comprehensive LFO with a full list of modulation destinations that allows the creation of chorus, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, and auto-filter modulation effects.
Rhythmic Loop Mangers - 36 Presets
Objeq Delay really augments the life of rhythmic loops. While the resonator is made as a new pulsing element, the delay module, with its independent first and subsequent repeats, answers the source’s original invitation—working together to create complex and intricate new beats.
Kick Track Enhancers - 25 Presets
Objeq Delay’s resonators can transform kick tracks in many interesting ways—add boom decays or snap attacks in skin, plastic, wood, or metal flavours.
Snare Track Enhancers - 20 Presets
Like kicks, snare tracks are prime candidates for Objeq Delay’s resonators. The objects layer in weight, body, an acoustic ring, or a snappier attack showing no prejudice whether your source material is acoustic or electronic.
Dornes - 24 Presets
With high resonance and modulation, Objeq Delay’s resonator forms ever evolving drones that reacts to the source material in a related but often unrecognizable fashion.
Richard Devine Signature - 42 Presets
Expert sound designer Richard Devine bring his touch to Objeq Delay with a comprehensive set of presets that explore the extremes of the effect with all kinds of new and interesting sonic transformations.
Martin Walker Signature - 40 Presets
Sound designer and steampunk audio inventor Martin Walker pushes the boundaries of Objeq Delay, discovering fresh and exciting possibilities while retaining loads of musicality.
Neat Features
- Real-time control over any parameters via DAW automation
- Host tempo synchronization for effects and modulations

MSpectralDelay
Delay by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MSpectralDelay is a unique creative delay plugin, which works in the spectral domain and lets you perform various transformations on the delayed signal - from changing pitch to arbitrarily transforming individual frequencies. It's complex, but it is still easy-to-use for the beginners.
20 delay plugins in one
MSpectralDelay is extremely powerful, therefore also complex. So we have exploited its features and created 20 active presets on the easy screen, each as versatile as a dedicated plugin. These make using the plugin easy even for complete beginners.
The power of spectral processing
Traditional delay plugins feature a simple feedback delay, which produces identical copies of the original signal, sometimes with a possibility of filtering, distortion or other basic effects. MSpectralDelay lets you transform individual frequencies. First it lets you control the delay time, feedback, panorama and level (EQ) for each frequency. MSpectralDelay also provides complex spectral transformations - pitch, frequency shift, formants, plus an actual frequency to frequency transformation and level to level transformation.
MeldaProduction goodies
Isn't transforming pitch, formants, levels and more advanced stuff enough to satisfy your creative needs? It wouldn't be a Melda plugin without the signature modulators, multiparameters, channel modes, A-H presets, ABCD morphing and more!

Delay MEMORY-BRIGADE
Delay by Arturia

Description
Filtered Analogue BBD Echo
The iconic lo-fi delay that helped the greatest guitarists and producers achieve their unique tone is now available in your recording setup.
Arturia’s Delay MEMORY-BRIGADE takes the creative, dark BBD analogue echo from the pedalboard, and puts it in your DAW, free from the worries of spilt drinks, dead batteries, and whether or not it’s “true bypass”.
From tight slapback delays to never-ending feedback noise, the “bucket brigade” offers so many creative options, and as a software plugin, you can use it on anything you want - not just guitars.
Filtered Tone
The perfectly dark, lo-fi tone is a BBD signature sound and perfectly recreated.

Frantic Feedback
Aggressive, swarming feedback that you can creatively control.

Modern Features
Hugely powerful, cutting-edge abilities give this classic a new lease of life.

Delay MEMORY-BRIGADE is Arturia’s love letter to the legendary BBD - or “bucket brigade device” - that created a revolution in time-based modulation effects. During the 70s, more and more audio effects turned to the compact, reliable BBD technology to create chorus and flange effects, but it really shined in creating an iconic, filtered lo-fi delay sound that’s still loved by musicians and music lovers to this day.
One of the first, and certainly the greatest BBD delays was the Memory Man, and the slightly redesigned Deluxe Memory Man created by effects pioneers Electro-Harmonix in the mid-70s. Guitarists and record engineers loved its unique sound: a dark, filtered bark that was worlds apart from traditional tape delays. Arturia based the Delay MEMORY-BRIGADE on this legendary pedal, so you can enjoy its driven feedback and “rusty” tone in your own productions.
Using their exclusive TAE® and Phi® modelling technologies, Arturia have analyzed many classic BBD circuits that made this effect so famous and created an authentic, analogue-sounding tribute to these vintage legends.
The legendary Electro-Harmonix pedal has been used by countless famous and influential musicians for over half a century, from guitar royalty to experimental producers alike. It’s graced the pedalboards of Dave “The Edge” Evans, Omar Rodríguez-López, Dave Grohl, Joe Perry, and Eric Johnson. It’s essential to the production of electronic artists like Tobacco and KiNK. It’s adored by contemporary visionaries like Jack Conte and Feist. How will you use this awesome BBD?
Add some lo-fi space to your guitars, give your vocals some vibrant slap back, or give your whole mix a subtle dark vibe. You’re free to use and experiment with this iconic delay any way you like.

New Features
Modern sounds and abilities exclusive to Arturia's software recreation.
-
Random Delay Time: Thanks to the new, easy modulation abilities, you can easily make sounds like this: using the LFO to manipulate both delay times.
-
EQ Modulation: This sound uses random modulations on the LFO to zip the EQ's peak frequency around all over the place, easily done in this powerful plug-in.
-
Stereo Vibrato: The new stereo controls let you add bit width to your sound, just like in this electric piano example. Instant space and air.
Delay MEMORY-BRIGADE isn’t simply a carbon copy of an old pedal, it’s a monument to the classic BBD delays that shaped music as we know it.
Arturia analyzed the old circuit diagrams, they studied the wiring and components of famous models, and they recreated the most desirable aspects of the vintage effect to give you the best sounding BBD experience ever found in software.

This amazing plugin pays tribute to the tape delays that changed the way music sounded forever. From the early EchoSonic pioneered by Ray Butts, Mike Battle’s Echoplex, to Ikutaro Kakehashi’s masterful Echo Chamber series, tape delays gave guitarists and organ players a new, exciting tool to use on stage and in the studio. Hearing this fluttering golden tone, it wasn’t long before studios, recording engineers, and producers wanted to make it part of their signature sounds.
In 1974, the music world was taken by storm, or rather, by space. An updated version of Kakehashi’s design, this time using standard 1/4" tape in a continuous, loose loop, and no reels, became the go-to favourite for musicians and producers. Finally, floaty, magic echo in a self-contained, reliable unit. It didn’t just sound great, it was versatile too. It had multiple delay patterns to create different rhythmic feels, EQ control to hone the delay’s tone, an integrated spring reverb, and - most famously of all - adjustable tape speed, letting it create otherworldly, haunting pitch changes in the delay.
Through the magic of their advanced TAE® modelling technology, Arturia are able to perfectly emulate this groundbreaking delay as a plug-in. All of this magic, all of these quirks, and all of this legendary tone are recreated in Arturia Delay TAPE-201.
The holy grail of tape delays, the iconic silver, black, and green-fronted echo unit was loved by countless musicians from all genres and styles. Alternative and indie legends like Radiohead, Sonic Youth, and Bon Iver loved its pitch-warping power. It fleshed out the guitar tone of everyone from The Shadows to Randy Rhoads. Electronic pioneers Vangelis, Boards Of Canada, Leftfield, and Jean-Michel Jarre adored its spatial width and thick, saturated tone. Dub legend Lee “Scratch” Perry and synth hero Brian Eno made its ghostly, analogue decay part of their signature sounds. A list of famous spacey tape delay users would be impossibly long, but it would be a “who’s who” of influential music legends.
Now it’s your turn. If you want to add that magic, analogue tape delay sound to your own music, complete with its quirky pitch control and saturated tone, Delay TAPE-201 is the perfect plugin.

Echorec
Delay by Pulsar Audio
Images
Description
The Pulsar Echorec is a software emulation of the iconic echo/delay unit of the same name produced by the Italian brand Binson in the 1960s.
The sound of this magnetic disk delay differs from the tape delays used at the time and has largely contributed to the audio signature of many 70s bands: Pink Floyd, The Shadows, Jimmy Page etc.
The Best Software Emulation of the Binson Echorec 2
![]()
Vintage Echorec devices are known for their saturation, self-oscillation, and over-sound, all shaping the music produced in the 70s. They are also, however, known to be fragile and difficult to maintain.
The Pulsar Echorec plugin gives you a faithful emulation of this legendary echo unit; furthermore, many workflow improvements have been added to the original, such as the ability to change the motor speed (and so the delay time) in real-time or to sync it to any tempo, including a tapped tempo.
Three different units, in different conditions, have also been precisely modelled, to have all sounds from the cleanest magnetic delay, to the most grunge.
These additions and the signature sound of the Binson Echorec 2 make this echo a must-have tool for any mixer who wants to add the subtle analogue life, which is sorely lacking in digital delay plugins.
Main Features
Authentic Tube Sound
The exact sound of the all-tube input section of the Binson Echorec has been precisely replicated. Special attention was paid to the modelling of pre-emphasis filters.
Magnetic Field Recreation
Any sound going through a magnetic device is modified in a particular way. Complex processes in the Echorec disk involving magnetic saturation and hysteresis have been precisely modelled.
Stereo Drift
As an improvement to the original hardware design, Pulsar added the possibility of slightly detuning the left and right channels. The result is a large stereo echo with precisely placed repetitions.
Creative Modulations
Sound engineers always have their tricks. One of the coolest with the Echorec is the ability to slow the disk down with a finger, resulting in creative pitch modulation or wow and flutter effects on the delayed signal.
Three States of Wear
Any Binson unit found nowadays has travelled 50 years through time. Some are in mint condition, and some are used. During their measurements, Pulsar found that each unit had a special colour, and some are really nice independently from the unit condition. So they selected the three units they liked the most.
Off Mode
Some effects just sound incredibly good, even when they’re not supposed to affect the sound at all. The Binson Echorec is one of these. So they carefully designed an Off mode that reproduces the colour and grit of the delayed signal, without any delay.

UltraTap
Delay by Eventide
Images
Description
UltraTap is a unique multi-tap effect capable of rhythmic delays, glitchy reverbs, huge pad-like volume swells and extraordinary modulation. It’s the perfect tool for creating drum fills, vocal choruses, swelling guitar chords and other evolving effects — everything from reversed reverbs to a massed church choir singing a Gregorian chant in Notre-Dame Cathedral!
Ultra Responsive
Think of UltraTap as the mother of all Echoplexes and you won’t be too far off. That’s basically how it operates but with the flexibility to add as many ‘tape-heads’ as you want and expressively control their positions and levels.
Designed for real-time manipulation, UltraTap features The Ribbon, an innovative control which allows you to program two settings for any combination of the controls and seamlessly transition between them.
The programmable HotSwitch allows you to instantly jump to an alternate setting at the push of a button. This combination of controls is intended to bring you as close as possible to the experience of tweaking real hardware.

Precision Time Align
Delay by Eventide
Images
Description
Scrub in for Surgery
Precision Time Align is a high precision sub-sample delay that can slide a track forward or backwards in time. It will help you get perfectly synchronized double-tracked recordings completely eliminating timing anomalies and phase issues from your mix, especially on multi-miked drums, vocals and instruments.
Blowout Comb
Precision Time Align allows for synchronizing signals to microsecond accuracy, up to 1/64th of a sample. Recording drums, an electric guitar cabinet or vocals with more than one mic can be challenging. While the sound recorded from each microphone might sound good on its own, mixing them together can introduce phase anomalies like comb filtering (phased, hollow sound) or low-frequency attenuation. Editing in your D.A.W. can help with time-alignment on a sample level, but Precision Time Align is 64x more efficient.

Tape Echoes
Delay by Softube
Images
Description
Resoundingly Dirty
- A vintage tape echo that sounds as dirty as you’ve always wanted it to.
- The skillfully modelled sound and behaviour of vintage tape delay.
- Featuring Drive & Dirt: go clean or extreme with lots of wow, flutter, drop-outs, and more.
- Three versions included: native plug-in, Tape Echoes for Amp Room, and Tape Echoes for Modular.
The warm ambience that tape delay lends to a track can make it transcendent. From Elvis to King Tubby to Radiohead, the ripple effects of tape echo can be seen on important records that span decades. Analogue tape delays are costly to own and maintain and, while plug-in versions have filled the void, they come with unwelcome cleanliness. Many tape delay plug-ins can give you a realistic tape effect, but only Tape Echoes gives you the tape delay you hear in your head—minus the headaches.
Tape Echoes is overflowing with all the pulsating colour and character you need to take your tape effect from authentically gritty to lavishly analogue. With the Drive & Dirt features, you can effortlessly drench your track in as much wobbly, glitchy, distorted delay as you can fathom. And the Just Dirt setting gives you classic, old-school grit when the reverb is set to zero. It's a plug-in plush with vintage lo-fi vibes and it’s an absolute dream to use. Tape Echoes: you can say that again.
Designed by Experts, Built on Legacy
Softube's history of emulating professional gear is long. After nearly two decades collaborating with such premium audio brands as Weiss Engineering, Tube-Tech, Solid State Logic, Chandler Limited®, and Trident, Softube’s record of perfectly recreating hardware classics in software form speaks for itself.
Tape Echoes hearkens back to this legacy and the spirit of Softube giant Tape. The result is an intensely rich, lo-fi mojo machine primed to make a splash. Tape Echoes is tape delay with the excessively dirty sounds you’ve been waiting for, and quality that exceeds your expectations. Nothing less.
Dripping with Distortion
Tape Echoes’ exclusive Drive & Dirt features let you quickly and easily go from gentle realism to extravagant saturation. Drive offers preamp and tape distortion, while Dirt’s parameters affect tape speed, wobble, flutter, dropouts, and frequency response. Set it to Just Dirt and turn the reverb off to get the old-school wobble and grit of tape without repetitions—perfect for transforming a hi-def loop into a lo-fi vibe.

Artistic Undercurrents
In a sea of retro replicas, there’s only one tape delay that’s awash with vivid colour and intense character. Drive, Dirt, and Tape Glitch beckon you to open the floodgates of reality-bending experimentation and take a dip in unadulterated creativity. But be forewarned: after Tape Echoes, other tape delays just won’t feel as fun to use.

Tap into Tape
The Number of Taps knob captures the resounding depths of classic tape delay hardware. Mimicking the sound, behaviour, and timing of analogue tape delay heads, the Number of Taps knob glides effortlessly between one, two, or three taps. The feedback dials in and emphasizes the taps for a natural, analogue effect.
![]()
Sea of Versatility
Tape Echoes features hyper-realistic analogue delay and spring reverb that perform just like authentic hardware. Use the delay time fader to set the timing of the first tap and the other two go with the flow. Place the reverb in parallel or before the delay line to slide seamlessly from authentic, clean analogue to soaked with distortion. Alternatively, turn down Delay Time and Reverb for a straight-up tape effect with just as much grit and dirt as you want.

Reflections: Tape Echoes modules for Tape Echoes for Amp Room
Asked and answered. Tape Echoes is available for use in Softube Amp Room, the pro audio guitar and bass platform. Combine it with other studio effects, classic amps, cabs, and pedals to create studio-quality, record-ready tones.
Use Tape Echoes in Softube Modular, Softube's infinitely expandable, modular synthesizer platform. Virtually patch it to any of the modules from Doepfer, Buchla, Intellijel, and more and sail away to distant sonic shores.
![]()
Deep dive: Drive & Dirt
A bottomless well of colour, character, and creativity, the Drive & Dirt features of Tape Echoes make it wholly distinct from the available pool of tape delays. Drive is the distortion that mirrors preamp and tape saturation, from realistic sounds to sopping-wet reverberations. Dirt is the character of the effect. It affects tonality, flutter, dropouts, crosstalk, pitch, and the randomness of those parameters—from mild to exaggerated.
Used as a distinct effect when delay and reverb are off, Drive & Dirt produce a vibrant lo-fi vibe. In combination with the Tape Glitch features, Drive & Dirt offer space for experimentation and can perform creative feats that analogue tape echoes—and software reproductions—just can’t replicate. If you’re thirsty for a tape delay that sounds as dirty as you expect it to, you’ll drink up Tape Echoes and its signature features, Drive & Dirt.

Smooth Sailing: Convenient Modern Features
Tape Echoes has everything you need to create the tape echo tones of your wildest dreams, plus the contemporary features that make it easy to use in the DAW-based studio. Use Tape Echoes in free mode or synchronize to the DAW with Tempo Sync and mapped out rhythm times. Tap Tempo makes it easier to dial in certain tap times and Tape Echoes also includes stereo- and dual-mono modes, as well as a wet/dry control. All of Tape Echoes' parameters are programmable in the DAW, ensuring that your digital workflow runs smoothly. It bears repeating, Tape Echoes is a bona fide vintage mojo machine for the modern studio.

Repeater
Delay by D16 Group
Images
Description
![]()
The Delay is the ultimate creative tool for adding space, depth, and excitement to music
There have been many incredible delay units created over the past 70 years, from tape delays to oil cans to modern digital circuits. So when D16 Group and their friends at Slate Digital got together to create a new delay plugin, it was obvious which they would model: all of them!
All-in-one
Introducing Repeater - A dual-delay powerhouse that features 23 unique, authentically modeled delay units ranging from classic oil cans and plates to the most famous vintage digital designs:
-
Cassette Tape - A model of an early 80’s Japanese cassette tape deck. Not too lo-fi or hi-fi, we’d call this one mid-fi!
-
Coopy Cube - An early 70’s delay originally made from a garden hose! Great for short delays to add depth, also with a stereo Spread option
-
Digital 42 - One of the most famous modern digital delays, this one has a uniquely early digital tone with a touch of graininess and a slight scoop. Great for guitars and vocals.
-
Digital 42 x 2 - The double option on the Digital 42, halves the sample rate for an extremely unique lo-fi tone that is great on vocals, guitars, and drums.
-
Digital Delay - A hi-resolution digital delay. Use Repeater’s filters and Color to customize the tone.
-
DM-2 - An early bucket brigade analog delay with a warm and rich tone. Amazing on guitars and synths.
-
Mellow Delay - A smooth, subdued delay that is based on several vintage analog topologies.
-
Memory Guy - Lush analog delay with fat vintage tone.
-
Mirky Delay - Based on early bucket brigade analog delays, it is dark and thick. Great as a special effect delay or thickener when used with the Spread option.
-
New Radio - Delay tone with FM radio style scooped hi-fi tone. Try it on vocals.
-
Old Radio - Delay tone with AM radio style grainy lo-fi tone
-
Pitchy Delays - Delays with slight pitch modulations for extremely spatial and deep effects. Sounds great when both delay lines are set to the same time creating a chorusing mono effect. These can also be used with tight delays with Spread option for widening and thickening effects.
-
Plexy Echo - Based on an old 70s tape delay unit. It’s fat tone, which sounds great on vocals guitars and even drums.
-
Space Delay - Based on the famous magnetic tape delay with a warm and gritty tone - a classic on guitars.
-
Tape Delay Ancient - An extremely old 1940’s style tape delay tone.
-
Tape Delay Classic - Early 60’s style tape delay.
-
Tape Delay Modern – Hi-fi tape delay with a warm and lush tone.
-
Tape Delay Vintage - 70’s style tape tone, slightly grainy but warm.
-
Telephone 1 – Lo-fi telephone tone, great for special effects or used as an insert on vocal or even full mix
-
Telephone 2 - Another lo-fi telephone tone with slightly different frequency and distortion tone
-
TelRay - The analog delay classic made original from a tuna can. Beautifully lo-fi with a rich tone that is perfect for guitars.
Two is better than one
At first glance, Repeater appears to be your typical stereo delay effect processor with independent control of the processing path for the left and right channels. In actuality, it features independent re-panning and dry/wet mixing for each of two stereo channels, which makes it a very flexible double delay line effect. You'll be surprised and delighted by all the capabilities this approach can offer over the typical, fixed-panned one.

- Cassette Tape - A model of an early 80’s Japanese cassette tape deck. Not too lo-fi or hi-fi, we’d call this one mid-fi!
- Coopy Cube - An early 70’s delay originally made from a garden hose! Great for short delays to add depth, also with a stereo Spread option
- Digital 42 - One of the most famous modern digital delays, this one has a uniquely early digital tone with a touch of graininess and a slight scoop. Great for guitars and vocals.
- Digital 42 x 2 - The double option on the Digital 42, halves the sample rate for an extremely unique lo-fi tone that is great on vocals, guitars, and drums.
- Digital Delay - A hi-resolution digital delay. Use Repeater’s filters and Color to customize the tone.
- DM-2 - An early bucket brigade analog delay with a warm and rich tone. Amazing on guitars and synths.
- Mellow Delay - A smooth, subdued delay that is based on several vintage analog topologies.
- Memory Guy - Lush analog delay with fat vintage tone.
- Mirky Delay - Based on early bucket brigade analog delays, it is dark and thick. Great as a special effect delay or thickener when used with the Spread option.
- New Radio - Delay tone with FM radio style scooped hi-fi tone. Try it on vocals.
- Old Radio - Delay tone with AM radio style grainy lo-fi tone
- Pitchy Delays - Delays with slight pitch modulations for extremely spatial and deep effects. Sounds great when both delay lines are set to the same time creating a chorusing mono effect. These can also be used with tight delays with Spread option for widening and thickening effects.
- Plexy Echo - Based on an old 70s tape delay unit. It’s fat tone, which sounds great on vocals guitars and even drums.
- Space Delay - Based on the famous magnetic tape delay with a warm and gritty tone - a classic on guitars.
- Tape Delay Ancient - An extremely old 1940’s style tape delay tone.
- Tape Delay Classic - Early 60’s style tape delay.
- Tape Delay Modern – Hi-fi tape delay with a warm and lush tone.
- Tape Delay Vintage - 70’s style tape tone, slightly grainy but warm.
- Telephone 1 – Lo-fi telephone tone, great for special effects or used as an insert on vocal or even full mix
- Telephone 2 - Another lo-fi telephone tone with slightly different frequency and distortion tone

PrimalTap
Delay by Soundtoys

Description
Retro Delay With Freeze
Modelled retro dual delay with “freeze” for lo-fi pitch warped loops and delays.
Whether you’re looking for a studio delay that’s full of 80s character, or a performance tool that responds to knob tweaking with mind-bending sounds, PrimalTap is a must!
PrimalTap is an emulation and re-imagining of the unique sound and features of the Prime Time delay, a classic digital delay with some powerful performance and sound design capabilities. Like the original hardware, PrimalTap is a hybrid of digital and analog sound - it packs a surprising amount of grit, vibe, and character for a digital delay. In true Soundtoys fashion, we’ve also evolved and enhanced some of the unique features of the original hardware to give you even more control and creative possibilities.
![]()
Multiply
In PrimalTap, the Multiply control doubles the delay time and halves the sample rate with each turn of the rotary switch. This is an emulation of the old Prime Time units - back in the early 80s the memory needed for the delay circuit was really expensive, so the designers cleverly let you choose longer delay times at the expense of audio quality.
But this limitation turned out to be one of the effect’s greatest creative features. You can dial in gritty lo-fi echoes or, If you’re looking for something more unconventional, try turning or automating the knob while audio is playing and you’ll create some really unusual pitch jumps. Combine that with PrimalTap’s VCO modulation, and you’ve got some really wild sounds on your hands.
![]()
Modulate
Like the original hardware, PrimalTap includes a VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) section that lets you add variation and motion to your echoes. Use it to create lush chorused effects, tape-like flanging, and echoes that drift gently in pitch. It’s perfect for dialing up those great shimmering guitar sounds of the 80s, or for creating more wild and unstable modulations. Unlike the original, PrimalTap’s Rate control lets you take the VCO up into the audio frequency range, so you can even create robotic ring modulation effects.
For more hands-on tweakability, grab the Adjust knob which lets you manually sweep the VCO section for smooth, glitch-free warping of the delayed signal. Try tweaking the Rate and Adjust controls and you’ll find yourself creating warbling sci-fi sounds in no time. And, of course, you can record or draw automation in your favorite DAW to capture and fine-tune all of these weird modulation effects. PrimalTap really comes alive when you automate it!
![]()
Freeze
Ready to move into even weirder territory? Tap the Freeze button to grab a slice of incoming audio. At its most basic, the Freeze feature lets you loop audio, either synced to tempo or at a length you choose. But the real madness begins when you start to adjust the Time, Freeze and VCO settings—you can quickly warp and modulate a sliver of audio into weird and beautiful soundscapes.
Twist the time knobs to create zippering sweeps. Tweak the VCO controls for ray gun barrages. And dive bomb to a lower octave with the Multiply knob. Freeze is capable of producing some truly otherworldly sounds when you start experimenting with PrimalTap’s other controls.

History
The original Prime Time unit, initially released in 1978, was a favorite of some highly creative sonic pioneers like Daniel Lanois (who’s still rocking his Prime Time today), Brian Eno, David Byrne, Pat Metheny, and Peter Gabriel. Some creative users even started using it as an instrument, tweaking knobs and pressing buttons while processing live audio.
![]()
The unusual lo-fi and pitch-glitching effects were literally one of a kind at the time. It came stock with 128 milliseconds of delay and could be optionally upgraded to 256 (for a substantial fee). Like many classic pieces of audio gear, over time, the limitations or imperfections are often what create the character that people come to love. In the case of the Prime Time, RAM was expensive, so in an attempt to get the most from the least, the engineers came up with the multiply function to increase delay time at the expense of sonic quality. That limitation is what was exploited to make this a highly sought after sound, and that sound is what drove us to create PrimalTap.
A New Direction
While PrimalTap faithfully emulates the original Prime Time, we couldn’t resist bringing this classic unit into the 21st century by adding new features and enhancements:
![]()
Input Drive
Oh, and, it wouldn’t be Soundtoys if we didn’t give you a way to abuse it so we’ve also added an “IN” amount so you can get the sound of pushing that old hardware too hard. It’s actually a very unique break-up saturation you can use to give sounds a little more or a lot more bite and attitude. Both of which we love.
Sync to Host
By locking to your DAW’s tempo, you can tame the beast. Or, if you want, just let it run wild! Both delay lines can be independently synced to a note value or set to a millisecond value for maximum flexibility.
Host Automation
Capture the mind-altering sounds of PrimalTap knob tweaks by automating with your favorite DAW. Whether you’re recording your frenzied knob moves or drawing directly into your host, automation really unlocks the creative potential of this effect!
Upgraded Memory
While the original was limited to 128 milliseconds of delay time (or 256 with a very pricey upgrade!) PrimalTap maxes out at a comparatively massive 2500 milliseconds. Create extra-long echos, or sample and loop up to 2.5 seconds of audio with the Freeze feature.
Expanded VCO
The original just had one modulation VCO shape; PrimalTap gives you four different options. We also let you push the VCO rate far beyond the original—you can move it way up into the audio range for ring modulation effects. You can even independently control the VCO depth for each of the two delay taps, and flip the phase of each to have modulation moving in two different directions.
New Feedback Algorithms
PrimalTap’s feedback section offers four new feedback types not found in the original: parallel and series modes, ping pong modes for creative stereo effects, and a special reverb mode that excels at lush washes of echo.
Ken’s Spin
“I’m always looking for quirky gear with unique character and vibe. I had recently been watching YouTube videos of Daniel Lanois live mixing with Black Dub. It was so interesting and inspiring to see the way that he used both the H3000 and the Prime Time in real-time while he was mixing – using the Prime Time’s hold button to capture ambient loops, and the Multiply knob to create octave shifts. That got me going, and I immediately fired up a Prime Time delay from our collection. It instantly put a smile on my face. It was so weird, cool, and musical, that I knew this was the next thing for me to work on. It took months of work to bring that same level of grit, character, and musicality into this plug-in, but I think that it definitely paid off. It’s my favorite Soundtoys plug-in right now.”
Ken Bogdanowicz, CEO and lead designer of Soundtoys.
PrimalTap also includes Little PrimalTap, a simpler, single delay-line model. Don’t be fooled, it’s no slouch and can get used to echo, loop, warp, distort and mangle in endless ways.

EARebound
Delay by eaReckon

Description
![]()
Why?
EARebound is a full-featured multi-delay plug-in which has been designed to meet a specific need : to quickly create rhythm lines from percussive sounds recorded in various environments (natural, urban, industrial, …).
Recording these sounds, processing them through (carefully selected) effects in order to obtain multiple versions of them, loading and mapping them in a sampler, placing them in space, … takes a considerable amount of time and can be an obstacle to spontaneous creativity. In addition, even if we are satisfied with the results after hours of hard work, this rhythmic grail cannot be easily modified, as we would like, during live situations.
A first prototype of this thing was then born in 2011, offering 16 steps (the input + 15 delay lines) being processed by a dedicated set of shaping and positioning tools. The workflow was already similar to the one provided by a good old drum machine and it was enough to create rhythm lines from any kind of recorded sounds within a couple of minutes… lots of fun and saved time!
Great… but considering that not everyone shares my pathological obsession for environmental percussive sounds, it would have been a shame to keep EARebound as-is because it obviously has the potential to evolve into a more universal, easy to use and definitely ultra-creative product…
Apart from any situation where a solid delay unit is needed, EARebound is now particularly useful when it comes to create rhythm from any material or instantly enhance an existing audio loop.
What?
16 delay lines
![]()
The input signal and the 15 first delay lines provide 16 steps - as you can find on most vintage beat boxes.
Each of these “steps” is processed by its own set of effects (saturation, filters, modulation, …).
By default, delay times match the 16th notes of a 4/4 bar and everything is synchronized to the host tempo (of course, you are free to change these delay times as you wish).
If we forget about the multiple feedback parameters (one per delay line), all of this may sound like a set of tweaked “tape heads” or the 16 pads of a vintage beat box…
Finally, an extra “global” delay line is available to make your “pattern” loop the way you want. By using a short delay time, you can also use it to create very special effects.
As other delay lines, the “global delay” has its own set of effects…
Three pairs of stereo outputs
The name of these output pairs is quite explicit: Main, Aux, LFE.
However, even if you don’t plan to work on surround projects, these outputs aren’t just there for the sake of “gadget” appeal.
When using a multi-tap delay, we usually like to add some “diffusion” to some taps or we would like to process some of them with another effect (which is not necessary a reverb).
![]()
If you already love a reverb it may be interesting to apply it on the taps of your choice instead of using an integrated basic verb - don’t you think? The “Aux” output combined with 2D position tools are what you need to use your favorite reverb (or 3D positioning effect) as if it was “integrated” to EARebound.
The LFE output can then be used to split low frequencies and send them to a subwoofer… But the “Split LF” section of EARebound has more to offer.
Low frequencies
A multi-delay has the potential to “spread low frequencies everywhere” which is usually not something our ears will appreciate…
Basically, LF can be responsible for a muddy mix if they are not properly handled. The “Split LF” section of EARebound will help to easily avoid such annoyances by “monoizing”, reducing, or even cutting low frequencies. You can decide to do it after or before they enter delay lines. And even if you don’t want to send LF to the dedicated “LFE” output, the “Split LF” section will work in stereo mode.
Presets and Random feature
EARebound offers a selection of categorized presets which have been designed to get you started with the plug-in. The presets manager offers the possibility to quickly save, sort and recall your own presets.
Should you be in a hurry for instant creativity, just press the “Random” pad to generate your own presets. Pressing this pad will not just blindly turn knobs and push buttons for you… You can define your own rules so the results match your needs. Switching from a preset to another or pushing the “Random” pad will just trigger a smooth process during which EARebound will do its best to avoid pops, clicks and other artifacts. This is why it is also possible to perform such actions right in the middle of a tune or during live situations.
Workflow
EARebound includes 16 delay lines (each featuring a feedback parameter and a specific delay time), 17 saturation units, 17 modulation modules, 34 “cut” filters, 17 positioning tools, 1 crossover, various gain/mix/send faders, …That makes almost 400 parameters to deal with!
The interface, however, should help to simplify this. Three different views are available:
- The “Main View” provides an access to all parameters, including global ones (input and send level, dry/wet mix, LF section, …). For parameters related to a specific “line”, you just select the line to tweak its effect section with precision.
- The “Mix View” offers an overview of the effects applied to the “source” and the 15 first delay lines. It is perfect when you need to adjust a same effect on all 16 elements.
- The "Time Line" offers an overview of the delay time applied to each of the 15 first delay lines. It is very convenient for setting delay times in relation to one other.
Using the graphical interface during live situations is probably not your best bet, though…
![]()
Even if parameters can be automated from most software hosts, EARebound features a MIDI input which provides an alternative way to control the plug-in… and the lightning-fast MIDI Learn procedure should be enough to get the whole thing under control in no time!
*EARebound is an effect with a MIDI Input. How easy or difficult (or even possible) it is to make use of this MIDI input depends on the host. Please consult your DAW’s manual for more information about it.
When?
There is probably still a lot to say about EARebound but words are surely not the best way to describe how it sounds. No need to wait furthermore... Please feel free to give the demo version a try right now... Your ears deserve trust!

More than just a delay
Huge modulation potential, and multiple delay lines to experiment with.

Texture Machine
Bitcrusher and filters let you shape the feedback loop to turn anything into granular texture.

The Arturia Delay Eternity started on the same drawing board as Arturia's award-winning, next-gen software synth Pigments. They knew they wanted to create a delay with deep modulation power, but they also wanted to integrate some seriously contemporary features that would let both experimental and traditional music producers experience a delay like they’ve never heard before.
They used the same expertise they’ve honed over the years, analyzing and recreating famous synths and studio gear, but this time they were going to play by their rules.
This isn’t a tribute, this isn’t an emulation, this is 100% Arturia, and it’s going to make you smile from ear to ear.

Let’s Get Acquainted
Delay Eternity is awesome, it’s powerful, but it’s also new. Arturia don’t want to take anything for granted, so let them explain the ins and outs of this versatile, inspiring plug-in.
-
Control time itself: Multiple time-processing modes let you determine this plug-in’s behaviour and sound.
-
Integrated creative effects: Give your signal some digital degradation and crunch, or filter the sound to perfection.
-
Not one, but two. Maybe four: Both delay lines features a left and right channel, giving you a quartet of creative delay channels.
-
Find the sweet spot: Cut out unwanted frequencies from your delay, and boost the best bits with a powerful integrated EQ.
-
Self-modulating: Use the incoming signal itself to modulate any of the parameters of the delay!
-
Amazing modulation: Twin LFOs can modulate multiple parameters, sync’d, linked, and ready to blow your mind.
Delay Eternity gives you such a large, powerful, cool array of options for colouring sound, Arturia know you’re going to be blown away. When you open it up, you’ll be amazed at the quirky, unusual sounds you can create with ease; so much more than you’d expect from a delay plugin.
Oh, and you can create simple delays, too.

Tube Delay
Delay by Softube
Images
Description
A tasty echo effect that can go from clean to rude by overdriving its three modeled tube stages. Create anything from realistic room echoes to rockabilly style slap backs, or take it all the way into dub reggae echo madness.
A slightly dark and distorted delay has a way of giving a great sense of space and size to a mix without really drawing attention to itself. So that's where our Tube Delay gets in the picture.
![]()
The controls are quite self explanatory, but it's the sound that sets Tube Delay apart from any other delay you have tried. The drive knobs add a wonderfully dirty distorsion and the tone controls are just sweet. There's actually three different tube stages in this model, each adding to the total sound. The tone controls are passive and add further to the distortion. Turn up the feedback while running, and you'll have the authentic dub echo madness! We of course added the possibility of tempo syncing the delay to your song.
Features:
- 1-1000 ms delay
- Sync tempo to host
- Vintage style passive EQ
- Gritty feedback feature
- Tube preamp simulation

- Mac OS X 10.13 or newer (older OS versions will not work) (64-bit only).
- Windows 10 64-bit (older Windows versions may work but are not tested) (64-bit only).
- Mac: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon - M1 support pending.
- Windows: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon / AMD Quad-Core or newer.
- Screen resolution 1280x800 or larger.
- Supported sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz, in both mono and stereo.
- 8 GB RAM or more is recommended, as well as at least 8 GB hard disk space for installation (individual plug-ins take less space, while sample libraries may require additional disk space).
- A Softube account is required to register and install the software.
- An iLok account is required for authorisation of the software.
- Internet access for downloading installer and managing licenses.
- iLok generation 2 and up, if you intend to use a physical iLok dongle for authorizing your plug-ins (note that an iLok dongle is not a requirement).
- In theory, any 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX (11.0.2 or higher) compatible host application should work.
- The most recent maintenance release of the DAW application is recommended.

However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and Softube's own rigorous testing standards - Softube only officially test their plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Live, Studio One, Digital Performer, Reaper and Sonar. Softube plugins are not tested in the non-listed systems, but they most likely work as long as the system requirements are met.
Important note: make sure that you always use the latest iLok License Manager. It is not included in the Softube installer but can be downloaded from www.ilok.com
