Description

Mutronics Mutator creates mind boggling filter sweep effects on any sound source - guitars, vocals, keyboards, drums, etc. Mutator is essentially a super sweet stereo analog filter and an envelope follower, based on technology developed for analog synthesis in the 1960s. It's fair to say that The Mutator is more of a creative tool than purely a mix tool.
Mutronics Mutator was an instant success when it came out in the early 1990's and had an enormous impact of the sound from that decade. The Mutator can clearly be heard on records created by artists such as Radiohead, Beck, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and many more.
But the Mutator was short lived. Production ceased abruptly when a vital component was discontinued by the component manufacturer. The original has since then only been available at auction sites, often at prices much higher than the original purchase price. Softube has worked closely with Mutronics to ensure that the plug-in captures every delicate detail of the original hardware.
What is the Mutator?
Mutator has an analog voltage controlled filter (VCF) for each of its two channels, which can create synth-like filter sweeps on any sound source that is fed into the unit. The filter can be controlled from a number of sources, for example the envelope follower, which sweeps the filter in proportion to the amplitude of the sound source. In Gate mode, the filter is either on or off, and the filter can also be controlled by the on-board LFOs. These have four waveforms, which create filter sweeps in our out of time with the music.
Another very cool option is to use the external sidechain input, to have an external sound source control the filter movements. For example, insert the Mutator on a pad track and have the filter move in sync with a drum loop. You can also link or unlink the two channels for trippy stereo effects, use the Width control to extend the stereo field and use the Mix knob to blend in the original sound source with the mutated sound.
To further understand what the Mutator does, we recommend that you check out the product video! (located by clicking the right arrow - over the main product graphics towards the top of this page).

Description
Resonant Analog Filter
Fat analog sweeps, pounding filter rhythms, big hardware sound – with a dual version for double the analog attitude.
Are you searching for smooth, silky, analog filter sweeps? Or are grimy, resonant squelches more your style? Nothing adds character to a track faster than a great filter, and FilterFreak can do it all. From a funky envelope follower that sounds reminiscent of the classic Mutron, to wide resonant LFO sweeps like the Sherman Filterbank. From timeless wah-wah tones to campy sci-fi sample-and-hold effects.
Whether you’re controlling it manually or locking it to tempo for rhythmic effects, FilterFreak delivers the warm, fat, resonant tones you crave. And we’ve also added exclusive features you won’t find in the classics, so you can create practically any filter effect you can dream up.
![]()
Analog Sound
FilterFreak faithfully recreates the sounds of classic analog resonant filters. Twist the frequency knob for smooth retro synth sweeps. Crank up the resonance to add some edge, or even push the filter into self-oscillation. And when you drive it hard, FilterFreak responds by breaking up in a gritty and pleasing way, just like hardware.
We’ve included seven different analog saturation “styles” that range from warm or crunchy distortion to pumping compression. From subtle to extreme, FilterFreak packs a ton of analog magic into a convenient digital package.

Rhythm and Groove
While tweaking knobs is always fun, FilterFreak also includes rhythm and groove tools that add motion to your tracks automatically. Turn on Rhythm Mode and flip the MIDI switch to create auto-wah effects that sync to your DAW.
![]()
Choose a simple note value like eighths or sixteenths, select from a library of pre-made rhythms, or even design your own rhythmic patterns using the Rhythm Editor. Then, to perfectly match the feel of your tune, grab the Groove knob and add some swing or shuffle to drop it in the pocket. For effects that move with the music, choose the Envelope or ADSR modes to trigger the filter with incoming audio. You’ll be amazed by how much one plug-in can transform the feel of your tracks.
Double Your Pleasure
FilterFreak actually includes two separate plug-ins — FilterFreak 1 and 2. Load up FilterFreak 1 for a single, simple filter. But if you want more power, fire up FilterFreak 2. It gives you two analog filters side by side that can be used in series or parallel. Combining two filters with FilterFreak’s deep modulation options gives you a huge range of moving sounds to explore.

FabFilter Volcano 3
Filter by FabFilter
Images
Description
Erupting with Character and Vintage Quality
FabFilter is proud to announce Volcano 3, the latest version of its award-winning filter plugin. Volcano 3 sees the introduction of a completely reimagined interface, a raft of new vintage-style filter shapes, per-filter saturation control, full visualization of modulation sources and targets, and much more. With its smooth workflow, no-limits flexibility and dazzlingly authentic analogue sound, it's the first-call plugin for creative filtering.
Beautiful New Interface and Improved Workflow
FabFilter has redesigned Volcano 3 from the ground up to make it more intuitive and immediate, while at the same time introducing a wealth of new features, and dramatically improving visualization of audio and modulation signals. The new filter display speeds up workflow with the selection of multiple filters at once and presents a unified response curve with stereo separation, as well as a high-resolution spectrum display. Modulation signals are now visualized at both sources and targets with animated collars, while the source flow area gives an eye-catching overview of all active modulations, and floating slot panels enable collective balancing of all sources modulating the currently selected control. The darker colour scheme is easier on the eye over long sessions, and when it's time to really get into details, the gorgeous new full-screen mode maximizes the filtering workspace.
Characterful New Filters
The beating heart of Volcano is, of course, its bank of four analogue-modelled filters. Expanding on the already-established High-, Low- and Band-Pass types, Volcano 3 more than doubles the options with the addition of vintage-style Bell, High/Low Shelf, Notch and All-Pass modes. Just like the original trio, these are all highly non-linear for a palpably analog sound and can be switched through an array of sonic colourations using Volcano's transformative Style settings. Each filter also now incorporates its own variable saturation circuit, further increasing the character-shaping potential, along with a 6 dB/octave slope option; and independent volume and pan controls bring a whole new level of depth to parallel routing setups.
And Much More...
Beyond its stunning redesigned interface and versatile new filter types, Volcano 3 is erupting with useful new functional additions, refinements and tweaks. Many of these are to be found in the modulation section, such as adjustable Attack, Decay and Release curves for the Envelope Generator, a transient detection mode for the Envelope Follower, and the new Slider: a vertical-only variant on the XY Controller. Then there's the new High Quality (4x oversampling) processing mode, four interface size options, the ability to rename modulation sources, and a full overhaul of the preset library, taking advantage of Volcano 3's new filter types and features.
Unbeatable Filters
Nothing beats a vintage sounding, gritty and creamy cut-off filter. That's exactly what FabFilter Volcano has been known for since its first release in 2005. Volcano 3 continues to deliver the best in creative filtering with new non-linear filter shapes and a completely redesigned interface that is an absolute delight to work with.

OD DeEdger
Filter by Tokyo Dawn Labs
Images
Description
DeEdger introduces a new way of reducing the hardness of audio signals without negatively altering the original signal qualities.
The plugin operates in a threshold-free manner, thus can comfortably handle any input signal level, type, and dynamic range. Where other plugins might under or over-process, DeEdger only applies processing if any hardness is detected. Once detected, the hardness will be smoothed with remarkable elegance. After its initial setup, DeEdger can be left in a “set and forget” configuration without further attention.
Intricate time and frequency dependent mechanisms allow DeEdger to provide a very transparent process throughout. The initial concept, developed by a professional mastering engineer, focused on the demands of modern audio mastering and has also turned out to be equally useful for mixing.

Description
A Filter Legend With A Modern Twist
Tom Oberheim’s pioneering design, among the first ever self-contained analog synthesizers, was home to one of the best-loved filters of all time. Now you can use it as cutting edge creative plugin for your DAW.
Combining simplicity with pure tone-shaping power, SEM-Filter is a futuristic twist on a classic synth filter.
Renowned for its pioneering technology in the 70s, we paid tribute not only to its sound but also the SEM’s reputation as a trailblazer. Using the meticulous modelling techniques, and by adding exciting new features, we have created a true modern classic audio filter.
No longer confined to a synthesizer, you can now use the era-defining filter tone of Tom Oberheim’s cult synth module on any audio source you wish. Process acoustic instruments in your DAW, shape vocals, perform sweeps on your whole mix, create builds, rises, and drops, even use it to improve a soft-synths stock filter.
SEM-Filter is a must-have creative tool for any modern musician.
![]()
Simple, but stunningly effective
The original SEM, or Synthesizer Expander Module, was one of the world’s first all-in-one synth packages.
Created to expand the capabilities of other synths, it could serve many purposes. Adding polyphony, fattening up their sound, and performing sequences in a supporting role to a main synth were all familiar roles for SEM.
One of the most remarkable modules on the SEM was its VCF. The 12dB per octave multi-mode filter helped define the sonic identity of Oberheim’s popular 70s synth, because it shaped a diverse range of sounds that were almost impossible to get on other synthesizers. SEM-Filter not only carefully models the crossfadable modes of the filter - low-pass, high-pass, notch and band-pass, but also expands its functionality and features to create a great-sounding, versatile filter plugin that you’ll want to use on every track you create.
“But what does a filter actually do?”
For many music producers and electronic musicians, filters are an essential part of their sound and creative process. Put simply, filters cut or boost certain sound frequencies, letting you control the tonal ‘shape’ of audio.
![]()
For example, if you had a vocal recording that you wanted to remove some low, bassy rumbles from, you could use a high-pass filter.
![]()
A low-pass filter could be used in the same way, but to remove unwanted high frequencies; maybe to tame particularly zingy cymbals or hi-hats in a drum recording.
![]()
Notch filters can pinpoint certain frequencies and either boost or cut them; one great use for these is to find and remove clothy, unwanted mid-range resonance from recordings of acoustic instruments.
Originally developed to remove broadcast noise and make the most of radio bandwidth, nowadays filters are an essential creative tool for music professionals.
![]()
Vintage tone combined with powerful contemporary features
Bringing that inimitable SEM filter tone back to life is a miracle in itself, but we wanted to push the envelope. Pun intended.
Able to bring another dimension to whatever audio source you choose, the story of our reworked SEM architecture started in 2012, when we released SEM V; our analog modelled, virtual emulation of the classic. Through component analysis and the advanced techniques of our TAE technology, we were able to reproduce not only the filter, but every aspect of the original instrument in software. A hit as part of our V Collection, we couldn’t help but wonder what SEM’s filter would be capable of as a standalone plugin.
Once we isolated its VCF, we added some contemporary functionality that launch this iconic filter straight into the 21st century. Every aspect of SEM-Filter, including all of the modern additions, are all controllable via MIDI CC, so should your DAW allow it, you’ll be able to control and perform using SEM-Filter in your live sets, too! Speaking of the additions, let’s take a look at what we added to this cult synth icon:
Noise Oscillator
The effect of any filter becomes more dramatic when you add noise, so we included a noise oscillator to let you add as little or as much as you like to your signal.
Soft clipping
The original SEM circuitry could be driven into saturation with the right settings, and we’ve made the process even easier. Turn soft clipping on, and push the input gain, and you’ll get some sweet analog saturation.
Gate sequencer & mod sources
The new, easy to program gate sequencer lets you trigger or retrigger the envelope and LFO mod sources. This can be used to create vibrant, animated filter sequences, or subtle, undulating effects.
Simple Mod Matrix
To add a little bit of creative versatility to SEM-Filter, we included a concise modulation matrix, letting you get creative and explore sound design potential never possible with the original.
Load up your DAW with plugins you’ll actually use
Declutter your plugin library, speed up your selection process, and improve your workflow. Our selection of superb plugins bring you the sound-shaping power of history’s finest music gear into your digital studio, letting you enjoy half a century of inspirational analog effects in a modern, digital, creative environment.
Our software plugins also have outstanding compatibility, and are available in VST, AU, and AAX formats so no matter your DAW of choice, you’ll be able to enjoy awesome Arturia sound-shaping.

SEM-Filter is a must-have creative tool for any modern musician.
For example, if you had a vocal recording that you wanted to remove some low, bassy rumbles from, you could use a high-pass filter.
A low-pass filter could be used in the same way, but to remove unwanted high frequencies; maybe to tame particularly zingy cymbals or hi-hats in a drum recording.

Straight from the legendary 70s monosynth
Mini-Filter is the latest chapter in the story of Arturia’s True Analog Emulation technology.
In 2003, we collaborated with Bob Moog to recreate the illustrious synthesizers he designed as software instruments, allowing a whole new generation of musicians, producers, and enthusiasts the chance to experience his unique method of synthesis. Fast-forward 15 years, and sadly the godfather of synthesis is no longer with us; but his legacy remains forever.
Through our collaborative effort and expertise, we were not only able to perfectly recreate his iconic 70s monosynth, but also isolate individual components. The 24dB per octave ladder filter has always been at the core of the Model D monosynth mythos, and we were intrigued as to how it would sound on other audio sources. So we applied the greatest care and used the latest technological advances to reproduce its warm and highly musical tone.

If you want a filter with depth, character, and complexity; look no further.
M12-Filter is a full-featured recreation of the multi-mode filter found in Oberheim’s iconic Matrix-12, kitted out with awesome updates that make this plugin one of the most powerful, performable sound-shaping tools around.
Combining intuitive, gorgeous-sounding modelled analog filter tone control with programmable modulation envelopes, a detailed mod matrix, and bonus random and mod osc parameters, M12-Filter is set to become your go-to choice for creative frequency control. Create anything from smooth sweeps to rhythmic motion, all the way to full-blown, randomized glitch meltdowns: this plugin can handle it all.

The most advanced, adaptable filter of its era
In 1984, audio and electronics legend Tom Oberheim developed a groundbreaking subtractive, analog polyphonic synthesizer; a brave move when the digital synth revolution was taking the industry by storm. Standing the test of time, his brainchild instrument is now considered a classic, and our emulated version takes pride of place in V Collection. One of the main reasons it turned heads in the 80s was its audacity, the sheer power of its signal routing options, and its multi-mode filter.
The original synthesizer’s filter employed a single filter per voice, but provides no fewer than 15 different filter modes. This included Low Pass and three High Pass modes, two Band Pass modes, a Notch filter, and a Phase Shift mode. It also included another 4 modes, combining 1-Pole Low Pass filters with other modes. This unique selection of filter options is largely responsible for the immense power and scope of the fabled Matrix sound.
This filter is now available as a re-energized creative plugin for your DAW.

Iconic filter tone with a modern twist
As if accurately recreating Tom Oberheim’s original filter wasn’t amazing enough, we have also supercharged this virtual version with contemporary features that we know you’re going to love.
Practically an instrument in its own right, our reborn M12-Filter is packed with intuitive yet powerful features. With it, you’ll be able to transform your source material into totally new sounds; create pulsing patterns; perform dramatic sweeps; or simply hone your tone using one of its many filter modes. Its CPU-friendly, low latency architecture also make it the perfect, animatable filter to use in your live sets and performances.
Made possibly through the magic of Arturia’s True Analog Emulation technology, we originally brought the sonic signature of this 80s icon into the 21st century studio in Matrix-12 V, our critically acclaimed software version of Oberheim’s classic, and a jewel in the crown of the Arturia V Collection. Call it selfish, but we are a company of musicians, and we wanted to unleash the power of Matrix-12 V’s filter, free it from the software synth, and create a new, exciting DAW plugin. To echo the depth and complexity of its synth family, we supercharged the filter with extra processing, modulation envelopes, and vast routing options with a modulation matrix.
Twin analog filters
The plugin features two discrete analog filters, each identical to the original with cutoff and resonance control, as well as all 15 original modes. For total control freaks, we have also added filter effect panning and level control for each filter.
Filter processing
M12-Filter offers 4 filter routing options: A, B, series, and parallel, giving you huge control over its sound. We’ve also included a dry/wet knob, as well as a MatrixBrute-style master cutoff that affects both filters at once.
Modulation envelopes
This control section lets you adjust each of its 3 envelopes, letting you create anything from slowly evolving sonic mutations to full-on step sequences. Tempo-sync’d or free and easy, continuous or one-shot, it’s all up to you.
Modulation matrix
The brain of the operation. With your filters prepared, your processing selected, and your mod envelopes assigned, you can link your envelopes, random, and mod osc to over 20 destinations, all discretely configurable.

Everything that you need in a filter unit - and nothing that you don’t - in a compact GUI that gets right down to business.
Designed for Best Harmonics & Audio Quality
All 21 filters produce a stunning analogue sound with huge resolution and free of any aliasing. From singing Comb to a steep 8-pole Lowpass from dirty Diode MS to the gnarly 030. WOW2 offers all the filters you can wish for. And all of them work in Vowel Mode, showing off the wide variety of humanoid sounds.
The extraordinary modulation system multiplies the possibilities to modular level: for instance with modulatable modulators.
The presets are a good place to start. Or try a steep 8-pole LP on a bass sound and taste that bubbly, smacking sound.

WOW's Talkbox lets you Pick any two Vowels out of a Choice of Nine
Swing the cutoff between two vowels to create formant-shaping effects on your dry signal. Modulate the cutoff (or the selected vowels themselves...) for distinct chorus and flanger effects. Works best with Comb or Bandpass combined on high resonance settings!
The vowels are: [i:] as in seat, [e] as in hen, [æ] as in fat, [y] as in tu (French), [ə] as in the, [ɑ] as in father, [ɔ] as in awe, [o] as in copy, and [u] as in boot.

The Real Magic Happens When Modulation Steps in
There are four sources: an envelope follower with frequency detection, the LFO with 13 waveforms, a 16-step step sequencer and the Wobble Knob (lifted from our Cyclop synth).
Targets and intensity (bi-polar) are assigned in the circular elements at the foot of the modulation section - or you just right-click any parameter and assign a source - couldn't be easier.

Pushing the Mod Section to Extremes
This is a different beast compared to the other modulators. The central knob controls two things: the shape of the LFO (16 different waveforms) while also changing the speed (12 tempo-synced rates).
The knob can be modulated itself (pick the LFO for a start) and this is what the wobble control is all about: to get that knob moving!

FilterShaper 3 takes a giant leap into unconventional sound design with two powerful filters, freely editable modulation curves, and an immensely flexible modulation framework.
The new Sallen-Key type filters deliver a rich, warm, intricate sound. Create complex, shifting, interweaving effects. Apply subtle nuances or giant wobbles. From filtersweeps and stereo tremolo to surgically-precise filter control.
Experiment and Explore
Start with two filters, running in serial or in parallel, plus a set of simple controls. Then set things in motion: All main controls have their own modulation section with two flexible LFOs and one envelope follower each. For advanced effects editing, each LFO in turn has its own speed and intensity control — each with its own LFO and envelope follower. And all LFOs can be MIDI triggered. Visual feedback on each control and oscilloscope views on each LFO keep you focused. And a community-powered, ever-growing library of presets provides starting points and inspiration for your own sounds.
Total Precision Control
FilterShaper 3 excels at surgically precise control. For pinpoint tweaking of the modulation curves and a close-up oscilloscope view, open up the detail panel. Filter out a specific beat in a loop. Tame a booming kick. Or shape a tired sample into something lively and vibrant. You have two filters, 60 LFOs, and 50 envelope followers at your fingertips - a detailed, interconnected toolbox for shaping your sound.
Advanced Dualband Sidechain Effects
As well as pinpoint editing, pulsing rhythmic effects, and left-field, alien craziness, FilterShaper 3 can deliver flexible, precisely timed sidechain compression effects. For dualband sidechain, set up filter one to manage the lows and assign filter two to the highs. Duck out the bass when the kick hits, take out the highs to emphasize a snare - simply draw the curve for each as required.
Note: FilterShaper 3 also includes the Free FilterShaper Core Plug-in.

FabFilter Simplon
Filter by FabFilter
Images
Description
Unique Filters, Easy Display
FabFilter Simplon is a simplified version of FabFilter Volcano 2 with two independent multimode filters providing low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass responses with 12/24/48 dB/octave slopes. The filters can be used in serial or parallel mode.
FabFilter Simplon
Originally developed for FabFilter One, Simplon's filters were designed from the ground up to be the fattest and smoothest self-oscillating digital filters possible. Simplon's filters sound raw but never cheap or ‘digital’, even at full resonance.
Each filter offers three different filter characteristics that define the unique sound and overdrive of the filter. They range from smooth filters with moderate overdrive to raw, self-oscillating over-the-top madness!
In combination with the response and slope settings, FabFilter Simplon offers up to 27 different filter types.
Tweak the filters with Simplon's large interactive filter display that shows both filter curves and lets you drag them around. You can adjust the filters separately or both at the same time.
And of course, you get all the usual FabFilter goodies: perfectly fine-tuned knobs that work both in vertical and circular drag modes, interactive MIDI Learn, Smart Parameter Interpolation for smooth parameter transitions, great presets, extensive help file with interactive help hints, sample accurate automation for all parameters, AltiVec and SSE optimization, and much more.
Key Features
- Sixteen different distortion styles, from subtle saturation to heavy guitar amps and bit crushing
- Multiband processing (up to 6 bands)
- Per-band drive, mix, feedback, dynamics, tone and level controls
- Per-band solo and mute options
- Optional HQ mode (8x oversampling)
- Mid/side processing
- Interactive multiband display
- Easy-to-use interface, using our innovative what-you-use-is-what-you-see concept
- Endless modulation options, with all the 16-step XLFOs, XY controllers, envelope generators, envelope followers and MIDI sources you will ever need
- GPU-powered graphics acceleration
- Normal and wide interface layouts, with an option to show or hide the modulation section at the bottom
- Easy drag-and-drop modulation with 50-slot modulation matrix
- Over 150 presets
- Modulation source signal visualization
- Interactive MIDI Learn
- Unique per-component presets
- Smart Parameter Interpolation
- Extensive help file with interactive help hints

Disperser
Filter by Kilohearts

Description
![]()
Have you ever wanted to rotate the phases of your signal to create frequency sweeps? Funny, neither had we, but then we tried it and were blown away! Disperser smears high energy transients through space and time without modifying the gain of the sound.
The result is a different take on transient shaping or, when used at extreme settings, an effect capable of shaping the sounds in ways you didn’t know you wanted to do. Boomy kicks, snappy hihats, synthetic wet basses or just a sweet utility to shape your signal's peaks and crest factor. The choice is yours!

MFilter
Filter by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MFilter is a specifically altered version of our MEqualizer with four global modulators which are able to provide effects such as wah-wah, sweeps, etc., but MFilter goes much further than you could ever imagine with standard effects.
Features
- Dual user interface - the plugin is not only extremely versatile, but also quick and easy-to-use thanks to 2 graphical user interfaces. First there is a simple default one with several predefined modes, but just a few controls, which lets you start quickly and easily without any knowledge. All you need to do is choose what you want and use a few knobs. And the plugins also has an advanced mode, which provides all the extreme features the plugin offers.
- Continuously adjustable oscillator shape - every oscillator in our plugins is defined by a mix of predefined oscillator shapes, custom waveforms edited using our MeldaProduction Envelope System (MES), step-sequencer and several methods for algorithmic postprocessing. It is the most advanced approach for defining oscillator shapes.
- 4 global modulators - in each instance you can have up to 4 fully-featured modulators that can modulate any set of parameters including other modulators! In this way you can make the sound move in time, be less static and more interesting. Each modulator works as LFO, follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR envelopes, a pitch detector or even a combination.
- 7 filter types for each band. - peak, low-shelf, high-shelf, low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch.
- Advanced editor and smooth visualization of resulting frequency response. All parameters are adjustable from the graph. No more searching in complicated band editors. Just click on a band and configure all of the parameters from filter type and gain to advanced features such as harmonics control. Everything with almost infinite precision if you need maximum control.
- Enable, Q, and Actual source level indication inside the shape graph.
- Integrated tube saturation gives the sound a great vintage analogue feel.
- Up to 8 channels surround processing - our plugins can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also up to 8 channels of surround audio, making them ideal for audio production for movies, games etc.
- Full randomization - using a single button you can generate completely new settings. By clicking the button you can walk through the billions of possible settings and find the best one for you! And if that's too much, you can just hold ctrl and MFilter will only slightly modify existing settings.
- Adjustable up-sampling 1x-16x to minimize aliasing and get an even clearer sound.
- Extremely advanced and easy-to-use user interface - our products are always designed to enhance the workflow. You can easily change all values, fine-tune each control in multiple ways. Easy orientation in a standardized GUI, textual editing and smooth visualization with almost unlimited zooming are standard in all of our plugins. Moreover our plugins are the world first (and still the only ones), which support resizable and stylable GUI's.
- Automatic synchronization to host tempo - every oscillator and modulator in the plugin can automatically synchronize to the host providing as natural a sound as possible while not offending other tracks.
- MIDI controllers with MIDI learn - you can map any parameter to any MIDI controller or MIDI keyboard and control it realtime or record and automate it.
- Very fast, optimized for SSE and SSE2 processors.
- Global preset management and online preset exchange - using a title button you can save your settings (which are shared on the computer) so you can easily access these in other songs. Moreover all plugins can automatically share your presets and download presets of other users from our servers (if this feature is enabled). We are building a community and you can be a part of it!
- Fully Automatable.

Windows
- Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- VST / VST3 / AAX compatible host (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support
Always use 32-bit plugins in 32-bit hosts, or 64-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts!
64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable.
Mac OS X
- Mac OS X 10.9 and newer (64-bit only)

Filterstation2
Filter by Audio Damage
Images
Description
Filterstation2 is the Audio Damage take on the classic serial/parallel/stereo dual filter topology, made famous (and some would say "indispensable") by the Sherman Filterbank and its many clones. With twelve filter algorithms, an envelope follower with stereo sidechain input, a full FSU section for extra signal hacking, and an easy-to-use interface, Filterstation2 is a valuable addition to any producer's toolkit.
Filterstation2 takes our original Filterstation plugin, and adds an all-new HiDpi/Retina-capable vector-based UI with resizability, a completely rewritten parameter and DSP section, a full selection of extreme modification tools, ProTools support, an cross-platform XML preset mechanism.

Description
Formant Filter
The Orb is a formant filter plugin which simulates the characteristics of the human voice. Featuring a set of three band pass filters, The Orb can transform any sound into a vowel-like formant-filtered sound. With the three LFOs you can modulate the Vowel, the Emphasis/Resonance of the formants, and the Drift, which can shift up or down the frequencies of each formant. You can also create your own set of vowels by changing name and frequency for each vowel/formant.
The Orb
![]()
Each sector of the orb represents a Vowel. It’s possible to change the vowel for each sector by clicking on the vowel name.
The distance from the center of the orb to the dot represent the amount of Emphasis (resonance) for each formant filter.
The angle inside each sector represent the amount of Drift, which is a value in Hz that will be added or subtracted from each vowel formant.
Custom Vowels
![]()
Clicking on the Edit button in the Vowels section, you can access the Custom Vowels window.
It’s possible to change each vowel name and frequency for the three formants.
Each custom vowels set will be saved in a preset (or DAW session), so you can create as many as you want by saving to a new preset.
The default set is the same as the Male genre settings.
