MDrumLeveler
Dynamic Processor by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MDrumLeveler is a unique tool specially designed for drums and percussive materials. It will improve the drum performances, stabilize drum hit levels, remove leakage and ambience and let you control the drum hits better than you ever could with traditional tools.
Truly Transparent Event-Based Processing
Traditional dynamic processors (compressors, expanders, gates...) detect levels of input samples and transform them depending on the transfer curve. This means that the gain is changing on every sample. This can be very well used to shape the sound itself, but it is hard to make it transparent if you want to level individual drum hits. MDrumLeveler on the other hand analyzes the incoming audio, detects events (drum hits for example) in it and transforms them somehow. That way it adjusts the level of each event, but does not alter the actual sound or color, so the results are unbelievably transparent.
Improves Drum Performances
No drummer's performance is perfect, each hit has a different velocity, and difference in levels are even exaggerated by the recording equipment. But there is a very high standard for perfectness in performances for most modern styles. Vocalists regularly use automatic tuner, drummers have MDrumLeveler now. It can even out drum hit levels, so the performance will just sound perfect even if it, well, is not.
Removes Leakage and Ambience
Traditionally you use gates to attenuate the audio in between separate hits in order to remove ambience and leakage from other instruments. That is necessary for modern tight mixes and very hard to accomplish with standard tools. MDrumLeveler can do it with unbelievable ease and provides unbelievable results thanks to the advanced event-based processing.
Drum Envelope Shaping
MDrumLeveler lets you shape the envelope of each drum hit. Whether you want a longer body or faster release, it is no problem for MDrumLeveler. And you don't need to spend hours experimenting, MDrumLeveler gives you a direct control of these parameters.
Adjustable to Any Audio Material
Drum recordings are rarely flawless, usually contain lots of leakage, ambience, artifacts... MDrumLeveler's event detector is highly adjustable. Among other settings, you can use 2 parallel resonant band-pass filters to target the dominant frequencies of the drum you are interested in.
Can Be Used Live
MDrumLeveler's job cannot be done without looking "into the future". By default it looks 20ms ahead, which provides 100% accuracy for all standard drums. But you can get much lower - in most cases look-ahead below 5ms still works perfectly, good enough for using it live. MDrumLeveler can know how hard you hit the drum just a few milliseconds after you do that.

Windows
- Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- VST / VST3 / AAX compatible host (32-bit or 64-bit)

Always use 32-bit plugins in 32-bit hosts, or 64-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts!
64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable.
Mac OS X

RESO
Dynamic Processor by Mastering The Mix
Images
Description
Dynamic Resonance Suppressor
RESO is a dynamic resonance suppressor that helps you quickly identify and resolve resonances in your audio.
When resonances build up to an excessive level, your music can sound harsh and unpleasant, often masking other elements that you actually want to hear. But, applying broad resonant reduction across your whole mix can take away the character of your audio, and if you apply too much reduction you’ll make the mix sound thin and reduce the punch of your transients.
RESO helps you identify which specific frequencies have a build-up of energy relative to your whole mix. It also guides you on how much reduction is needed to dynamically resolve the resonance without overdoing it. The high-quality filters deliver mastering-grade transparency, with automatic Q optimization to give you the most musical results.
There simply isn’t a faster or more effective way to musically resolve resonant issues in your mix.
Cleaner Mixes in Less Time
Use RESO on any Channel
![]()
RESO can be used to resolve the resonances of any channel in your mix, whether it’s a vocal, a synth, percussion, busses, or your mastering chain.
Analyze Your Audio
![]()
Look for disproportionately high peaks in the visual display.
Use the Frequency Sweep to help you identify resonances that sound unpleasant.
The Calculate Targets feature will locate the most resonant frequencies and give you targets so you can resolve the resonances transparently.
Tweak To Perfection
![]()
Creating a node is as easy as clicking anywhere on the interface.
Position the node at the peak level at which you want the resonance suppression to start and scroll to adjust the Q.
Additional Features
- Smart analysis that gives you fast results.
- Mastering grade filters for cleaner sounding mixes.

Give your whole project a subtle dose of shiny EQ and compression, or slam it with crispy stereo saturation - a one-stop-shop for the perfect final mix.
Parallel Processing Powerhouse
When used right, parallel processing can yield spectacular sonic results, unlocking a whole new level of detail and depth. The ability to separate your audio source into different branches, each with its own array of effects and adjustments, then mix them all back together again may sound complicated - but that’s where Bus FORCE comes in.
The Filter Module - A classic low pass & high pass resonant filter based on the much-loved SEM filter, an Oberheim classic. Give your vocal sibilance room to breathe or dampen the sharpness and attack of your low-end - an extremely useful quick-fix for any audio application.
The Compressor Module - A proprietary VCA compressor, inspired by contemporary units like the Overstayer® Modular Channel. Built for punchy & modern applications, including switchable sidechain source detection and the all-powerful FORCE control, for smooth to explosive compression techniques.
The Equalizer Module - Inspired by the legendary Pultec® EQ, known for broad ranges and musical curves. This detailed but immediate bell EQ module offers immediate and intuitive sound shaping, from delicate high-end accents to an uber-fat bass boost across the stereo field.
The Saturation Module - Beautifully crispy analog saturation, also inspired by modern studio manufacturers like Overstayer®, with 4 types of saturation on offer: Even, Odd, Thick, and Overdrive. Give your track some subtle warmth or crank the grain for that sought-after grungy character.
By uniquely combining several studio-grade modules and advanced signal routing in a single plugin, Bus FORCE makes parallel processing simple and accessible for everyone.
Choose Your Path
3 Signal Paths are Better than 1
To achieve true parallel processing, you need multiple signal paths, each one separately affected in different ways, then mixed back together again to suit your taste.
![]()
Bus FORCE gives you 3 paths to work with: Dry, Comp, and Sat. Each of these paths is uniquely configured to utilize a different combination of Bus FORCE’s modules.
It really comes into its own, however, when you start to customize it. By having individual control over every aspect of the routing and individual module configuration, you can weave a web of sonic enhancement that’s totally unique to you.
Smashed compression with some low-pass rumble? Soft analog saturation with a mid-boost sprinkling for that ‘70s sound? Bus FORCE is your bespoke mixing console and mastering suite rolled into one.
Path Blend - Choose how much of each path you want to include in the output signal - and for extra crunch and character, add a touch of limiter at the end of the chain with the sneaky Clipping module.
Path Customization - Change how the paths interact with each other by removing or rerouting modules as you see fit. Remove the Filter here, add the Compressor there, change where the Equalizer goes - there’s a total of 36 possible routing combinations to explore.
Module Bypass - If you prefer a more subtle approach, you can attenuate Bus FORCE’s sonic influence right from the start. Simply bypass each module as and when you need with their respective toggle switches.
The Past, Present, and Future of Production
Bus FORCE is a convergence of perfectly emulated circuitry inspired by vintage studio gear, proprietary features, and cutting-edge appointments - designed to offer the best of both worlds.
![]()
We wanted a filter that was timeless and unique in its sound while being versatile enough to suit modern production. The answer? It had to be our emulation of Tom Oberheim’s groundbreaking SEM filter - the very same design that you’ll find in our Filter SEM and SEM V software titles.

When it comes to reliable EQ, there are a few household names - for producers at least - that you can always turn to. One such name is Pultec®, responsible for one of the most musical equalizers of all time. With its unique Gerzon shelves and venerable tube character, it was the perfect inspiration for Bus FORCE’s Equalizer module.
The idea of combining multiple modules into one unit came from today’s go-to outboard heroes. Manufacturers like Overstayer® are known for their multifaceted units that offer the analog brilliance of old-school gear combined with the practicality of a sonic Swiss Army Knife. Who wouldn’t want that available in their DAW?

MSpectralDynamicsLE
Dynamic Processor by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MSpectralDynamicsLE is the smaller brother of the mighty MSpectralDynamics, a true revolution in audio processing, which can flatten the spectrum, prevent collisions between tracks, remove noise, and open up myriad new creative possibilities. MSpectralDynamicsLE is the same, but it doesn't let you access the edit screen.
Unique Spectral Processing
MSpectralDynamicsLE is essentially a dynamics processor which works in the spectral domain allowing you to tweak individual frequencies. The compressor can make loud frequencies quieter for example - but that's just a beginning.
8 Plugins in One
MSpectralDynamicsLE can be a compressor, expander, gate… Eighth base modes offer a complete dynamic suite. With MSpectralDynamicsLE you can expect nothing less than pristine audio quality!
De-Esser/Gate
Common functions like de-esser or gate have been taken to another level. MSpectralDynamicsLE does the same job as other plugins but with surgical precision. It removes only the truly unwanted signal leaving the rest of the audio material untouched.
Side-Chain Wonders
Two ducking modes can help you to avoid collisions between instruments which occupy the same space in the spectrum. This is a common mixing problem. Using one of the side-chain modes helps you to remove this problem automatically.

Autoformer
Dynamic Processor by United Plugins
Images
Description
Some performances are almost perfect. Almost. The desired perfection can be achieved by using Autoformer, a tool that can act almost inaudibly as well as it can add great colour to your tracks. Autoformer combines an analogue like preamp with an automatic volume function and a gentle compressor. It is the right tool for your vocals or voice-overs, whilst also improving the performances of drummers and bass players.
Vocals, Bass & Double Bass
Autoformer is an ideal companion for mixing both bass guitar and double bass performances. It is indispensable when creating vocal or voice-over tracks, but it can be also used to balance drum recordings.
The Preamp
Inspired by the Front DAW plugin, BR/US/GE buttons in the preamp section represent three types of analogue circuits. BR represents classic fat British consoles, US is for legendary punchy American style input, and switching to GE will give you the velvet sound of a colourful vintage German tube console.
Intelligent Volume Rider
Balancer section is here to repair performance mistakes and volume dropouts. Its (inaudible) performance will make you feel like they were never there. The SEER parameter detects the ahead signal to decide if your material needs volume adjustment (made by LEVELLER).
Finish
Engage the fast modern compressor to soothe the dynamics of your track without changing your signal's spectral character. No colour, just fix.
Bypass Any Section
Thanks to the individual bypass switches in each section, if desired, you may use any part as a single effect. Use the automatic volume function only or just the pre-amp in combination with the compressor. Do exactly what you feel is needed.
Under Control
Five LED meters give you a perfect overview of what is going on in Autoformer's signal chain. Every stage can be monitored so your tracks are perfectly under control.
Hassle-Free Software Protection
No iLok, no dongle or internet access is required for activation. This software uses licence files to activate your software. You can freely use the purchased software on all your computers as long as you are the user.
Realistic 3D Yet Flexible GUI
The photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size - make it smaller to save the valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.
15-Days Unlimited Trial Version for Free
All the descriptions are nothing compared to putting hands on the plugin yourself. No saving limits. No noises. No boundaries. Engage the plugin in your project and fully exploit its powers for two weeks.
64-bit Audio Quality at ANY Sampling Rate
The plugin provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses internal 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. 192 kHz or even higher.
Smart Bypass
The intelligent way this plugin manages bypassing ensures that you don't get any clicks or harmful noises when automating the parameter.

Outlaw
Dynamic Processor by W.A. Production

Description
![]()
All Gain. No Pain.
Whether you’re mixing live sound, smoothing vocals or balancing solo instruments, Outlaw is the gain-riding plugin you’ve been looking for. Outlaw listens to the incoming audio and compensates for volume changes, mimicking the mixing desk fader movement of a real-life audio engineer. Forget about drawing complex volume automation and let Outlaw do the hard work for you, with smooth gain levelling and a wealth of features.
Mix, Target, Gate & Gain
These 4 main dials give you flexible control over the fundamental parameters of Outlaw, meaning that it’s easy to make broad-stroke adjustments to the performance of the plugin. Adjust the intensity of the effect with the MIX dial and set the RMS target level with the TARGET dial. Use the GATE control to set a relative level so that the gain-rider ignores softer sounds. The master output is controlled by the GAIN dial, very useful for setting accurate levels for precise A/B signal comparison.
![]()
Advanced Settings
Fine-tune the gain algorithm with advanced settings, accessible from a secondary panel. Outlaw can perform in band-pass mode with high-pass and low-pass filters and 4 different slope settings. For example, this means you can perform effective gain-riding on audio with a low rumble, high-hat bleed or other problematic frequency information.
The Attack and Release options let you mould the transients and sustains of the processed audio to create a smoother signal. The Direction parameter can be set to control the attack and release direction, operating upwards, downwards or in both directions. Maximum values can be set to adjust the intensity of the gain-riding. A variety of RMS options determine how quickly Outlaw reacts to the incoming signal another way to help smooth or sharpen the response.
Visual Feedback
See exactly what Outlaw is doing to the signal at a glance, with the large visual feedback display. This displays Peak and RMS volume for both left and right channels, and the amount of gain-riding in the centre.
Made for Everyone
Developed in the JUCE framework, this is our most stable plugin to date running happily in all plugin formats for Mac and PC with support for retina and high definition screens. For the first time, AAX / ProTools format is included so all producers using any system can enjoy this versatile plugin. Outlaw is the kind of toolbox plugin that you’ll reach for every time you need to create balanced dynamics with a “human touch”. Make it the first plugin on your channel for live guitars, vocals, bass and drums, or anything that needs the smooth touch of a sympathetic virtual engineer. W. A. Production are real-life producers making creative plugins to help you achieve studio-quality processing quickly and easily. Enjoy!

Pumper 3
Dynamic Processor by W.A. Production
Images
Description
![]()
Harder. Better. Stronger.
W.A Production have done it again… after the release of “Pumper” they wanted to step up their game and give you even more control over the punch and power of your sounds. The sequel, Pumper 3, has been long in development as the W.A Production team toiled away to retain the stellar performance parameters of the original plugin whilst adding new features. The end result is a multi-effect powerhouse that achieves the level of immediacy, body and depth that W.A Production fans expect and their tracks deserve.
This is W.A Production's most requested update ever and builds on the Compressor, Saturator and Stereo Imager modules of the original whilst adding more controls to fine tune the processing.
![]()
Compressor
The compression module has 4 flexible modes:
-
Punchy Mode gives you that direct punch and clarity. This is great for kick drums or percussion.
-
Fat will help to bring out the bottom end of your audio and make it sound big.
-
Clean is more transparent and perfect for adding cohesion. Great for softer vocals or acoustic instruments.
-
Soft is wonderful to use on your master channel. Subtle compression makes everything sound tighter, increasing clarity without sucking the life out of your mix.
New compression parameters for Pumper 3 include adjustable wet / dry parallel compression and RMS shaping controls, ideal for perfecting your sound in the box, without resorting to complex channel audio routing.
Saturator
Add warmth and depth with subtle saturation settings, or push the dial up high for pronounced distortion with a harder edge.
The new Rise and Fall settings allow you to shape transients and smooth out the character of the saturation, both essential controls for fine-tuning the performance of any audio.
Stereo Imager
Bring your tracks to life with the Stereo Image control, adding beautifully clear width and depth. Unique to Pumper 3, the dedicated Low and High shelf modes, alongside frequency and resonance controls, allow you to focus the width processing to specific frequency ranges. Use these settings to emphasise the unique characteristics of a sound.
![]()
All in One
Using these 3 modules simultaneously within one plugin is quick, easy and inspiring.
Each module has a dedicated input control for balancing the effects and the real-time waveform window shows a visual representation of your audio, both before and after processing. Essential for accurate A/Bing to check the results of Pumper 3’s processing power.
50 factory presets are designed to get you up and running quickly, with tailored settings for drums, vocals, bass, keys, synths, acoustic instruments and mastering. These are all easily accessible from the plugin menu and of course, you can save you own settings as user presets too.
Pumper 3 is a big leap above and beyond the first version. If you’ve used and enjoyed the original Pumper in the past, this is a perfect upgrade with expanded features and more nuanced controls. If you’re new to this kind of processing, then Pumper 3 is a great starting point, with interface controls as simple or complex as you want it to be. W.A Production have been using Pumper 3 to beef up their kicks, expand synth lines and widen guitars. It’s your one-stop-shop for creating tracks that will engage and excite your listeners.

TDR Kotelnikov GE
Dynamic Processor by Tokyo Dawn Labs
Images
Description
TDR Kotelnikov is a wideband dynamics processor combining high fidelity dynamic range control with deep musical flexibility. As a descendant of the venerable TDR Feedback Compressor product family, Kotelnikov has directly inherited several unique features such as a proven control scheme, individual release control for peak and RMS content, an intuitive user interface, and powerful, state of the art, high-precision algorithms.
With a sonic signature best described as “stealthy”, Kotelnikov has the ability to manipulate the dynamic range by dramatic amounts, while carefully preserving the original tone, timbre and punch of a musical signal. As such, it is perfectly suited to stereo bus compression as well as other critical applications.
The “Gentleman’s Edition” (GE) adds several improvements to the standard edition’s feature set - the most obvious being intuitive access to various equal loudness workflows, the ability to specify ratio in a frequency-dependent manner, as well as a powerful sidechain high-pass filter allowing continuously variable access over slope and frequency. The Yin/Yang functions allow manipulating the harmonic pattern produced during compression, and a new “insane” quality mode increases processing fidelity even further.
Kotelnikov does not try to emulate any previously available device. The concept is a proud digital processor, it is the original!
Kotelnikov GE Version 1.6.0 Changelog (12.01.20)
- VST3 format added
- MacOS 10.15 Catalina support
- Fixed PT Eucon mapping
- Fixed empty automation list in PT

The ML4 crossover page shows the overall frequency response in real-time of the input, output, or total dynamics effect, on top of the graphically adjustable crossover frequencies. Accurate output adjustment is fast and simple with output ceiling control, large meters, and meter level text readouts.
The ML4000 provides outstanding results with an intuitive user interface, flexible design, and powerful set of algorithms.

Trackspacer
Dynamic Processor by Wavesfactory
Images
Description
One of a Kind
Trackspacer is an award-nominated plugin that creates space in a mix by carving the frequencies that the main track needs into another track in real-time.
Trackspacer is no ordinary plugin, it is similar to a sidechain compressor plugin but much more powerful, transparent and precise.
Insert it in a track and see for yourself what Trackspacer can do for you.
Secret Mixing Weapon
The Trackspacer plugin features a 32 band EQ that reacts to the incoming sidechain signal. It analyses the spectrum of the sidechain and applies a reversed EQ curve to another track. As if by magic, Trackspacer creates space for the primary track by cutting the exact frequencies on other tracks.
No more fighting for space for the vocal in a mix, or any other instrument for that matter. If you have a solo that needs the room to breathe then Trackspacer makes the task easy.
Complicated automation moves on your mix are a thing of the past!
Simple to Use
Trackspacer features a big centred knob that lets you set the amount of reduction applied in a simple and straightforward way, but it also features a set of parameters that let’s you go deep into how the signal is processed.
-
Pan: lets you choose exactly where you want to apply the effect. In default stereo mode you can select the left channel, right channel or anything in between.
-
M/S: in Mid / Side mode you can apply the effect to the mid-channel, the sides or anything in between.
-
Attack/Release: set how Trackspacer reacts to the incoming signal, making it smoother or punchier like a regular compressor plugin.
-
Sidechain: lets you listen to the incoming sidechain for easy tweaking of the low-cut and high-cut filters.
Not a Multi-band Compressor
Compressors react to the amplitude/volume/level of the audio signal on the track. Based on how loud the source signal is, they apply more or less compression.
Multi-band compressors split the signal in different bands and apply different settings on each band, but the detection is still the same as regular ones.
Trackspacer splits the sidechain source signal into 32 bands and analyses them individually. Then, it reverses the result and applies a 32 band EQ to duck (or carve) those exact same frequencies, giving the source track the space it needs to occupy in the mix… and all in real time!
That’s why the Trackspacer plugin is much better, more transparent and easier to use than regular compressors. It’s all in the detection!

PUNISH
Dynamic Processor by Heavyocity
Images
Description
![]()
No Good Mix Goes Un-PUNISHed
Overview
![]()
From subtle warmth to extreme drive and compression, PUNISH injects character and edge into any mix or instrument track. It’s the same PUNISH effect that you know and love, as featured in Heavyocity’s award-winning line of virtual instruments, now in VST/AU/AAX plugin format. Modeled after Heavyocity’s custom analog signal chains, PUNISH gives you control over Compression, Saturation, Transients, EQ, and Limiting. Chain the modules together to get that signature PUNISH sound, or isolate them to experience each dynamic effect on its own. And at the heart of it all is the global PUNISH Knob. Simply set your ranges, and dial in the devastation.
Compressor / Saturation
![]()
With three distinct compression models, the PUNISH Compressor offers a wide dynamic range, topped off with that classic analog warmth. The plugin features a smooth Class A-style Buss Compressor (Console), an aggressive, fat sound with a classic “knee” (Modern), and a warm vintage limiting amplifier-style (Classic).
The PUNISH Saturation module also features three different models, all with their own unique brand of warmth, drive, and character. With a classic broadcast mic-pre (Vintage), a chunky harmonic saturation (Modern), and a fat tube saturation (Tube), the PUNISH Saturation module can add a bit of grit to a track, or drive the whole thing into overload.
Transients / EQ / Limiter
![]()
Providing control over the attack, sustain, and output gain, PUNISH’s Transient shaping module enables users to bring stronger transients back into the signal after saturating the sound. The module also features Hold control to determine length of the attack.
The EQ module is basic but powerful, offering lift of the high and low frequencies. Set the EQ to Pre or Post to affect highs and lows before the Comp, Sat, and Transient...or after.
To prevent clipping, PUNISH also features a Limiter at the end of the chain. Soft clip amount and release time controls are key, when that Saturation starts to get things truly hairy.
Global PUNISH Knob
![]()
At the core of the plugin is the central Punish Knob. Heavyocity has designed an intuitive way to modulate all of the parameters, quickly and easily bringing life and movement into your sounds. By simply clicking the “edit” button, and setting the halo values, the central PUNISH knob becomes a highly-dynamic tool, capable of any and every degree of PUNISHment. Start off clean and warm and go punchy -- or expand the ranges to really let ‘er rip. When your track really kicks in, a twist of that center knob gives you all the attitude you'll need.
Analog Signal Chain
![]()
Heavyocity has been using their in-house custom analog chains to mangle and manipulate sound sources for years. From epic percussion to cinematic pads and stings, their line of award-winning VI’s always get touched up by their stable of Bus Compressors, Tube Saturation, and Limiting Amplifiers. It’s part of what has made instruments like GRAVITY, Vocalise, and AEON so compelling, and now they’re placing those custom signal chains into your hands. Meticulously modeled from the best in classic and analog units, PUNISH brings together a studios-worth of gear in one dynamic new FX plugin.
Expertly-Crafted Presets
![]()
To get you up and running quickly, PUNISH is stocked full of crafted presets, laid out over six categories. This is where the versatility of PUNISH really shines. From Bass to Drums to Mixing/Mastering, PUNISH has a wide range of applications. Whatever it may be, PUNISH has a setting for you -- with over 90 presets arranged by instrument type, and a bonus folder of some HY staff favorites. Valley People Dyna-mite
Dynamic Processor by Softube
Images
Description
![]()
Genius expanded.
A secret weapon to some, a hidden treasure to the rest, the Valley People Dyna-mite is a Swiss army knife limiter/expander design with unique character that has inspired engineers to do crazy things with sound for decades.
Now it’s more versatile and easier to use than ever. Adding two hyper-focused plug-ins based on the same sound, we’ve boiled it down into a simple, modern package. Meet Dyna-mite Slam, and Dyna-mite Gate!
Paul Buff built custom gear for Frank Zappa. Need we say more? The cool factor is tangible. By the time he patented his TA-101 VCA (‘The Electronic Gain Control Device’ – the heart of the Dyna-mite) in 1980, his reputation was already unimpeachable.
The Dyna-mite is essentially a limiter or an expander, but through a sophisticated combination of switch positions, it is capable of more or less any manipulation of dynamics from gating to RMS compression, from keying and ducking to ridiculously extreme levelling.
Now, however, you can find all of these magical sonic combinations easily with the two new plug-ins, Slam and Gate. Slam takes care of all of the downward stuff – the compression and limiting – in as close to a one-knob format as Dyna-mite could ever become, while Gate deals with the upward operations – the gating and expanding. You can control bleed in a subtle manner, add punch to a snare, crush a rock vocal into submission, or duck a synth bass around a kick. And you don’t even really need to read the manual.
The original plug-in is included (with a slightly updated look) for experts, but all the joy of the Dyna-mite comes forward in Slam and Gate, in a more focused form than ever.
All three plug-ins come under the same license, for the one price.

The Anatomy of the British Class A Channel Strip
-
Shape Section: Modeled on a rare yet classic piece of transformer-based, class-A-designed British hardware, the gate does a great job of keeping tracks tight and clean. You can employ it to rid a snare drum track of unwanted bleed or to soften the sound of a kick drum. Using the sidechain input makes the gate super useful for ultra-musical keying purposes.
-
Equalizer Section: The EQ is essential to the classic British console sound, and the equalizer in British Class A is component-modeled to absolute perfection after one of the most highly sought-after EQs of its era. With stepped frequency controls, you can tweak the color of your sound and—no matter what you do—always come out with true British console character.
-
Compressor & Limiter Section: Assignable compressors grace many of the classic consoles that comprise the British Console Sound. Softube emulated an early specimen that features a fat, round sound for British Class A's Compressor section. They also uncoupled the hybrid compressor/limiter of the original hardware, making separate Compressor and Limiter sections. Separate, but each uniquely sweet.
-
Drive Section: Take your sound from dark and stormy to blue skies. Drive simulates running the console channel hot with the saturation, distortion, and tone that occur when doing so. Go from a darker sound with less distortion in the mid-range to bright and clear distortion in the highs.

Presswerk
Dynamic Processor by u-he
Images
Description
![]()
Presswerk is designed to be a powerful dynamics processor rich with a musical soul. An easy-to-use interface and a rich feature set give you hands-on control over all the details of your sound. Presswerk is more than a copycat of other hardware compressors, it blends the warmth of classic hardware models with many modern touches.
Presswerk has all the features you expect in a Compressor:
- Sidechain ready. Create more space in your mixes with ducking or get creative with keying/pumping effects.
- Adjustable compression curve and envelope. Find the best settings to get the most out of your audio with the soft knee, compression ratio, attack and release and other settings.
- Loud. Yes, Presswerk is more than capable of making your tracks louder. We didn’t use the German word for pressing plant for no reason.
- Soft clip. Roll-off those harsh peaks and avoid distortion when your output levels get too high.
Plus, we have added some options to enhance Presswerk’s capabilities:
- M/S mode. More detailed stereo signal processing
- DPR (Dual Phase Rotation) mode. This is an emulation of classic outboard gear phase response. Use this to smooth out some of the harshnesses of digital recordings to create a more analogue style softer / rounder sound.
- Saturation. This is where Presswerk shines - adding colour and character to your audio. Saturation can give subtle warmth and tame some of the transients, or turn it up to create tape overdrive like effects.
- Internal parallel compression. The Mix controls let you blend the compressed uncompressed signal together. This is helpful in creating a more natural sounding result.
- Variable detection topologies.
With Presswerk you can select from three different detection modes: FF (Feed-forward), FB (Feed-back) and INT (Interactive). Each one is a different style of Compression:
- Feed-forward is a modern style and tends to be precise, almost surgical in the input tracking.
- Feedback is more musical and loose sounding and is common to classic hardware.
- Interactive is a mix of FF and FB modes. The signal is continuously analyzed and Presswerk blends the two modes according to the type of signal.
Compression has become an essential part of the studio - whether you are gently applying it to glue various parts together, or add some colouration and tone or adding loudness in the final mixdown of a track. Presswerk was created to fit into any workflow, no matter what task you throw at it - and do so with the style, attention to detail and sound quality you expect from u-he.

MSpectralDynamics
Dynamic Processor by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MSpectralDynamics spectral mastering dynamics processor plugin is a true mastering revolution. It can do many things, but it's main feature serves as an ultramodern hi-tech replacement for multiband compressors and loudness maximizers. With top-class features such as custom shape processing it can provide you with a varied and wide range of effects. Additionally, it provides you with a free-form linear-phase equalizer with a range from -80dB to 0dB, which you can use to fix specific issues in your recordings and mixes.
Features
Multiband compressors are a very important tool required to balance the spectrum and maximize loudness. However multiband compressors are very clumsy, their effects are often too unnatural and it is very easy to completely destroy the audio material. MSpectralDynamics does not have any bands and works with the entire spectrum instead. It approximates energy located in each frequency and applies the dynamics to it separately. This algorithm is extremely complicated but provides state-of-the-art sound quality and features you could not even dream of before!
- True spectral dynamic processing - other compressors perform dynamic processing in the time-domain, MSpectralDynamics performs the same actions in the frequency domain, where you can increase loudness, balance frequencies etc...

INTENSITY
Dynamic Processor by Zynaptiq

Description
Detail | Clarity | Density | Loudness
INTENSITY is a new kind of audio processor for mixing, mastering and sound design. Built on techniques typically found in facial recognition algorithms, INTENSITY brings out a sound’s inherent detail, increases its perceived loudness and density, and adds insane amounts of clarity. The unique algorithm carves out important signal features – making sounds sound more like themselves – and is operated with essentially one control. Between the proprietary algorithm and an optional soft-knee saturating limiter in the plugin’s output stage, INTENSITY also excels at attaining maximum loudness and creating a beautifully aggressive tone.
The key INTENSITY features at a glance:
- Mastering-grade processing for more detail, clarity, density and loudness.
- Intuitive and fast workflow using a streamlined set of controls.
- Proprietary INTENSITY circuit with optional frequency-dependent BIAS function.
- Additional precision soft-knee saturating limiter at the output stage.
Think "Compressor"
So what IS this thing, then? You can think of INTENSITY like an infinite-band compressor operating in relative terms – whose time constants are zero, and which is controlled by an artificial intelligence at audio rate – making it possible to adjust the process with essentially just one knob.
Or Actually, do NOT Think "Compressor"
Well, except that this description would be completely inaccurate, as INTENSITY is absolutely NOT a compressor, and works in a completely different way. There's no RMS detector, no threshold, no ratio, no attack or release time. It doesn't pump or modulate in any other way. It doesn't overshoot and it works regardless of absolute levels and input type.
That said, the compressor analogy does serve to give you an idea of when to use it and what for.
Across the Board
INTENSITY is equally suited for processing individual tracks like speech, SFX, instruments – including guitars, bass and piano – as well as full mixes, multi-channel film stems, drum busses, and other complex content. This makes INTENSITY an indispensable tool for music producers, mastering engineers, sound designers, video producers, broad/podcasters, forensics professionals, audiophiles, or virtually anyone to quickly and easily add clarity, definition, and perceived loudness to their audio projects.
Fast, Faster, INTENSITY
This plugin is probably the fastest way to get great sound. No kidding. The actual, real-world usage story goes pretty much exactly like this:
- Insert plugin
- Adjust INTENSITY amount
- Enjoy the result.
In some cases, you may additionally:
- Adjust BIAS Amount and/or Curve
- Switch LEVEL COMPENSATION off
- Activate the saturation.
...that is literally it.
TL;DR – Summarize that in Plain English, Please.
OK, we'll drop the geek.
It's a high-tech thing that makes everything sound way more awesome.
Which is why we call it The AWESOME!-Knob in our offices.
Put it on everything, all of the time.
Be careful, it's highly addictive.
Plain enough? :-)

At the heart of the plugin lies its namesake, the INTENSITY circuit. A combination of advanced neural network based analysis and proprietary input and output transforms is used to separate the signal into broad strokes and detail features. By boosting the details while leaving the broad strokes in place, the sound's unique characteristics are amplified, masking effects mitigated, details carved out, the density and perceived loudness increased. Sounds high tech? That's because it IS.
BIAS
![]()
In most cases, the INTENSITY trackball is all you'll need to use to get a great sound. But the processing amount can be controlled frequency dependently, too, using the BIAS function.
Preset BIAS Curves

INTENSITY features ten preset bias curves, including two equal loudness curves, a presence boost curve, linear tilt curves, and more. Curves are selected using our proprietary Visual Menu widget, which allows you to preview a setting simply by hovering your mouse over it.

Or simply create your own. Supported by multiple macro functions, finding just the right curve is a snap.
SATURATE

On top of the high-tech INTENSITY circuit, there's also a slightly more traditional, but nonetheless state-of-the-art soft-knee saturating limiter that can optionally be switched into the output stage. From subtle glue to in-your-face-ness to Yeah-I-Just-Got-Three-dB-of-Loudness-For-Free in mastering to straight-up overdrive, the SATURATE circuit delivers a beautifully warm, meaty tone...and can drive the loudness into La-La-Land.

Dynamic Processor by Leapwing Audio
Images
Description
The Ultimate Smart Parallel Multi-band Dynamics Processor
Many multiband compressors take too much time to set up and tweak. DynOne 3 has been redesigned with a beautiful resizable retina design that focuses on workflow. It also includes variable crossover filters, unique weighting algorithm, and a proprietary Center-Side Mode. DynOne 3 also uses min-max values for attack and release, and applies variable timing values depending on whether the signal is transient in nature or not. You can simply blend in your compressed signal with the original.
Highest Quality XO Filters
Leapwing Audio's crossover filters have been custom designed to interact with each other, in order to avoid phase alignment issues between bands, something you do have with traditional multi-band compressors. In DynOne 3 Leapwing Audio even made them variable so you can tweak them fully.
Adaptive Attack/Release Timing
Leapwing Audio felt that having a traditional attack and release times didn’t really give you the best sounding result. When you’re working with transients vs sustained sounds, you often want to have different attack and release times. This is why we use min and max attack/release times.
Easy to Use and Intuitive GUI
Leapwing Audio aim to build plugins that sound good from the moment you start using them, not having to waste precious creative time. Leapwing Audio spent countless hours of R&D time to look at the best ways of visualising all the bands so you can tweak everything intuitively.

New Sensations
The Weiss Gambit Series channel strip gives Console 1 users an entirely new way to play. Combined with other channel strips in the Console 1 ecosystem, Gambit Series gives sonically rich returns on investment. Deploy the SSL 4000 strip on the close mics of a drum kit and the Zener-Bender strip on the overheads and room mics. Drop the Weiss Gambit Series strip on the drum bus, utilizing some of that unique below-threshold compression to expose the details and tones between the hits. Then sit back and savour the sound.
![]()
The apex of mastering units since its launch in the 1990s, Weiss DS1-MK3 is an indispensable tool in studios around the world. Unrivalled versatility and incomparable sound quality have made it an essential ingredient in nearly every major record of the past two decades. While Weiss’ updates and improvements to DS1-MK3 have made it practically perfect, Softube + Weiss’s fully digital compressor/limiter/de-esser performs tasks that an analogue unit couldn’t even dream of.
![]()
Fringe Benefits
Softube’s exclusive partnership with Weiss Engineering comes with some pretty sweet perks. In creating the Gambit Series, Softube had the opportunity to work in collaboration with Daniel Weiss himself. Together they created features for the channel strip that make it a powerful mixing tool that can also be used for mastering. Features such as high/low pass filters, gate, expander, below-threshold compression, surgical equalizing, compressor, and limiter.
![]()
This Way Up
The most blow-your-mind component of the Gambit Series channel strip has to be below-threshold compression. As with any traditional compressor, above threshold refers to the dynamics processing for audio exceeding the set threshold. The below threshold, therefore, concerns the effect on the audio below the set threshold, as with a common gate or expander. So it follows that normal compression and expansion are called “above-threshold compression” and “below-threshold expansion." Gambit Series for Console 1 isn’t your everyday channel strip, though. It offers below-threshold compression and all the other gate, expander compression, and limiter features. Whoa, right?
![]()
Softube & Weiss: Meeting of the Minds
Weiss has been a pioneer in digital audio equipment design since 1979. That’s when Weiss founder, Daniel Weiss, joined Willi Studer AG in Switzerland as an engineer. In 1985, Weiss struck out on his own and founded Weiss Engineering with a focus on pioneering digital audio equipment for Mastering Studios. The result of that endeavour is now legend.
Softube’s relationship with Weiss started in 2008 when they were first introduced to Daniel Weiss. Despite having so many guiding principles in common, it wasn’t until 2015 that Softube got serious about working together. Three years—and some blood, sweat, and tears—later, the Softube + Weiss DS1-MK3 plug-in was unveiled to great fanfare. And the tradition continues.

The Anatomy of the Weiss Gambit Series For Console 1 Channel Strip
Input Section
Low noise and super smooth, the input section features the 12 dB low-cut and 6 dB high-cut filters from the EQ1. Just like the original EQ1, every parameter is discrete, but with hundreds of steps that make it easy to dial in exact settings.
![]()
Shape Section
The Shape section of the Weiss Gambit Series works below the threshold. You can do normal expanding/gating, but it's also possible to do below-threshold compression. With below-threshold compression, you can enhance the soft sounds without affecting the loud sounds to, for example, bring out the tail of a reverb or the room sound of a drum bus, or get more legato in an electric bass without affecting the punch of it.
![]()
Equalizer Section
The EQ consists of the Weiss EQ1 in Low Latency mode without any dynamics. All four bands have a full range of frequency and the same cut/boost range as the original: -39 dB to +18 dB. The low and high bands have a fixed Q-range but selectable Cut, Peaking, and Shelving (Cut, Bell, and Shelf on Console 1). The two mid bands work exactly like the EQ1 bands in Peaking mode with the same extreme Q-Range of 0.2 – 650 as the original unit.
![]()
Compressor Section
The Compressor is the same as the Weiss DS1 with a limited feature set, just like the Weiss Compressor/Limiter plug-in. The ratio goes from 1:1 to 1000:1 and has an attack time as short as 0.02 ms.
![]()
Drive & Character Section
How do you make a Drive for a super-clean unit? Well, it's not a drive so much as the Limiter from the DS1 and Weiss MM-1. Use the Drive knob to increase the gain into the Limiter thereby limiting all signals above 0 dB. The Character lets you select between the three limiter types: original DS1, enhanced Type 1, and enhanced Type 2.

The Crystal-Clear Sound of Weiss for Console 1
Overview
- A tidy channel strip based on 1:1 code ports of the original Weiss DS1-MK3 and EQ1 units.
- Created in partnership with—and officially licensed by—Weiss Engineering.
- With special features such as below-threshold compression.
It’s here. One of the most highly requested components for Console 1 makes its debut. Introducing the Weiss Gambit Series for Console 1. A painstaking extraction of the top features from two of the most admired digital processors, Weiss DS1-MK3 and Weiss EQ1—plus characteristic extras—the result is the clean, sharp channel strip engineers everywhere have been waiting for.
Joining a storied slew of offerings in the successful partnership of Softube and Weiss Engineering, Weiss Gambit Series gives you the algorithms of the originals. But it also sports exclusive, high-end features such as below-threshold compression. Weiss Gambit Series channel strip for Console 1: created for mastering, now tailor-made for mixing.
Alliance to Inspire
Another refreshingly new product brought to you in partnership with Weiss Engineering.
A Meticulous Melding
A strict, 1:1 code port combining the best of Weiss DS1-MK3 and Weiss EQ1 into a singular channel strip.
This Way Up
The most blow-your-mind component of the Gambit Series channel strip has to be below-threshold compression.
Compressor Section
The Compressor is the same as the Weiss DS1 with a limited feature set, just like the Weiss Compressor/Limiter plug-in. The ratio goes from 1:1 to 1000:1 and has an attack time as short as 0.02 ms.
