MStereoProcessor
Stereo Width by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MStereoProcessor is an advanced multiband stereo analyzer and enhancer plugin. Using MStereoProcessor you can make your recordings and mixes sound more professional by easily controlling stereo image and the necessary perception of depth and space.
It is a necessary tool to finish your recordings. It lets you look at and listen to the stereo field and its mono compatibility, ensuring your recording is truly placed into the center. It can widen, shrink and excite stereo field on 4 separate bands.
Features
Global panorama, widening and exciting - for starters you can modify the panorama and widening of the signal itself. The algorithm is totally transparent and mono compatible. Finally you can apply a broadband exciter to improve the clarity of each band.
- 4 bands with separate widening and exciting - while it is often desired to have bass stereo field minimal as opposed to treble, MStereoProcessor lets you process all bands separately. You can modify the stereo field from mono to a 200% increase and even perform delayed stereo enhancement. Both algorithms are fully transparent and mono compatible. You can also apply an exciter to improve the clarity of each band. MStereoProcessor provides 3 types of crossover (analog, linear-phase, hybrid), so you can choose the optimal band separation mode for your particular audio material.
- 2D stereo field analyzer and channel peak meters - integrated analyzers give you an accurate view of the output stereo profile, which you can use to ensure the recording is accurately wide and has correct direction.
- Mono/stereo field check - you can easily check if your recording is mono compatible and what the stereo content actually is.
- Mute and solo for each band - you can always listen to each band and check that each spectral part of the recording is perfect.
- Extremely advanced and easy-to-use user interface - our products are always designed to enhance the workflow. You can easily change all values, fine-tune each control in multiple ways. Easy orientation in a standardized GUI, textual editing and smooth visualization with almost unlimited zooming are standard in all of our plugins. Moreover our plugins are the world first (and still the only ones), which support resizable and stylable GUI's.
- MIDI controllers with MIDI learn - you can map any parameter to any MIDI controller or MIDI keyboard and control it realtime or record and automate it.
- Very fast, optimized for SSE and SSE2 processors.
- Global preset management and online preset exchange - using a title button you can save your settings (which are shared on the computer) so you can easily access these in other songs. Moreover all plugins can automatically share your presets and download presets of other users from our servers (if this feature is enabled). We are building a community and you can be a part of it!
- Fully automatable.

Space Controller Standard
Stereo Width by Sound Particles
Images
Description
Space Controller is the best way to pan sounds in surround and immersive. Simply connect your mobile device to a DAW, use it as a movement reader and pan the sounds to where you’re pointing.
Panning with knobs in stereo is perfectly fine. However, when working with surround or 3D sound, even when using joysticks, it’s much harder to get the results you're looking for.
By connecting a mobile device and its motion sensors with any DAW, Sound Particles’ patent-pending technology offers a highly efficient and intuitive way to pan sounds to where you point the device.
Every movement you can imagine is now possible, easier than ever - and just a touch away. Space Controller is a plugin and an app, that together allow you to pan sound from stereo to any immersive format, either in a home studio or mixing stage.

Natural Panner
A pan knob for the human ear
Pana is a sophisticated stereo tool designed to let you do more elegant, natural audio positioning than what regular balance panning might accomplish.
Panning an audio signal can be done in several ways, where the most common is to alter the volume on one channel. This is a CPU-efficient way (and many times the best) to achieve a sense of positioned audio. Almost every DAW and mixing console has this feature built-in.
Another way is to add a short delay to one of the channels – the Haas method. This renders a richer sound, but can also make a sound come off as somewhat unnatural.
A more elegant way is to apply a low pass filter to one of the channels. This maintains the audio energy on both channels, but at the same time makes it sound positioned. This works very well on transient rich sounds like drums or other percussive instruments.
Pana uses both the delaying and filtering methods in combination, to achieve a more natural positioning. This makes Pana a very versatile tool for most types of sounds – and having these features in one plug-in makes for a great mixing experience. To top it all off, there’s also a crossover filter that makes it possible to leave the low-end frequencies completely untouched, letting the bass remain fully centered, to prevent the mix from tipping over on one side.
Anatomy
![]()
1. Pan the mic - The pan knob in Pana is actually more of a macro controller, controlling multiple parameters for filter and micro delay.
2. Set your head size - Binaural hearing (how humans perceive sound) is highly dependent on time difference between the ears, rather than sound level difference (as set by a normal pan knob). This time difference is bigger if you have a large head. To feel smarter, turn this knob to the right.
3. Keep your bottom in the middle - To prevent the mix from "tipping over", you can keep the low frequencies in the middle.
4. Steepen the curve - Apart from time difference, binaural hearing also relies on the filtering of high frequencies on the opposite side of the sound source. This knob controls that.
5. Not just a phase - For checking the mono compatibility, if your audio signals are in or out of phase.

Energy Panner
Stereo Width by Sound Particles
Images
Description
Energy Panner uses the intensity of a sound to control its movement. From traditional stereo to immersive, this plugin enables artists to add dynamic depth to their panning techniques without any effort or additional routing.
Sound Intensity Controls Panning
With Energy Panner, the sound intensity controls the panner, creating movement that reacts to sound. Imagine drums moving at the beat, synth notes that move on attack, among many other behaviours. From music to audio post, from stereo to Dolby Atmos, Energy Panner is a plugin that you definitely want in your toolset.
![]()
Panning Mode
The Pan mode is essentially a normal end-to-end particle-based panning. This type of panning effect changes the position of the sound source between two points (start point -> endpoint) previously defined by you. Therefore, the greater the energy of the input signal the greater the shift from the starting point to the endpoint.
Sliding Mode
Whenever the audio signal reaches a certain level (threshold value), the sound source moves on a trajectory that you define. As opposed to pan mode, the sound source does not return to the starting point as soon as the signal level drops. The sound source will freeze that position until the audio signal exceeds the threshold value again, leading to a new shift of the sound source in the dome space.

Haaze 2
Stereo Width by Klevgrand
Images
Description
![]()
Stereo Tool
Bring any mono signal to life with this stereo enhancer.
The upgraded Haaze v2 from Klevgrand is an elegant solution for controlling stereo width and spatially positioning a sound in a stereo mix. Regular L-R panning is a weak tool that doesn't resemble real-world acoustics, which becomes clear when trying to place a mono sound naturally in a stereo mix (especially on headphones).
The result still feels very "mono". Haaze is an audio plugin that makes the positioning feel more natural, understandable, and pleasant for the ears. It splits the audio signal into 16 frequency bands. On each band, you can delay the left or right signal (which will make the listener believe the sound arrives from the side that’s reaching the ear first), pan it to the left or right, or adjust the overall width on that band (for example, make the lower frequencies more focused in the middle than the higher). Haaze can also diffuse a mono signal and make it wider.
If this sounds complicated, Haaze comes with many presets that will help you to get started. It sounds good both in headphones and loudspeakers, and it has great mono compatibility.
Anatomy
![]()
1. I Can Haaze? Control the delay between Left and Right on each band.
2. Pan(ic) button. This mode can pan each band separately between Left and Right.
3. In your widest dream. This mode sets how wide you want each band to be.
4. Gainz. Only if you need to compensate the gain after processing each band.
5. Happy Birthday Mr Presetident. Lots of presets that will help you to get started.

Propane
Stereo Width by SoundSpot
Images
Description
![]()
A Unique Mid-Side Panner for Detailed Stereo Placement
A well balanced stereo image is essential in any mix. With regular panning however, the options for placing a rich stereo track in the stereo field are limited. Propane gives you the option to pan the mid signal separately from the side signal of a stereo track. This way you can position the mono part of your track in the stereo field as you like, and use the side information to shape the width and stereo image of the track.
Besides giving you much more control in comparison to regular panning, this technique can be used very effectively for compensating for a stereo track with an unbalanced or lopsided centre, or for creative automated and tempo synced stereo effects. Also, it is a very natural sounding alternative for panning a bus reverb.
Propane can be used in combination with the SoundSpot MSW1 stereo widener for full control over the placement of your stereo tracks, and has a similar smoothed out bypass function for automation without pops or clicks.

MicroShift
Stereo Width by Soundtoys
Images
Description
Make It Wide
The classic studio trick for super-wide vocals – with a powerful new twist.
Need some width for your background vocals? Want to make a lead guitar or synth sound larger than life? MicroShift gives you three different flavours of a classic stereo widening trick at the push of a button. It uses a special recipe of pitch shifting, and delay that varies over time, to create rich stereo width. It’s incredibly simple to use and perfect for spicing up important instruments, or for blending background vocals subtly into a mix.
![]()
Hardware Vibe
We designed MicroShift to nail the vibe of sought-after hardware pitch shifters like the Eventide H3000 (which featured algorithms originally designed by Soundtoys’ founders) and the AMS DMX 15-80s. MicroShift captures the quirks of the originals including saturation and even the different de-glitching algorithms used by these units. So now you can have the big, wide sound of the original hardware with a simple and refined interface that makes getting those tried-and-true sounds faster and easier than ever.
![]()
Expanded Features
While MicroShift is dead simple to use, we also let you precisely adjust the character of the width you’re adding to your tracks. Change the amount of time-varying delay with the Delay control. Adjust the amount of micro pitch shifting with the Detune control. And the Focus control lets you sculpt away low and mid frequencies that might make some tracks sound muddy.
A Little Taste is All You Need
When you buy MicroShift, you also get our original mini version of the effect, Little MicroShift. And it’s anything but little. It adds width, space, and spread to any track, just like its big brother, but with a simple three-button, one-knob interface. Perfect when you want to add width to a track with zero fuss.

MAutopanMB
Stereo Width by MeldaProduction
Images
Description
MAutopanMB is a powerful multiband auto-panner with an adjustable shape feature. This effect is naturally designed to bring spatiality to the sound. By using our fully adjustable oscillator technology you can take your sound to the limits of your imagination.
Features
- Dual user interface - the plugin is not only extremely versatile, but also quick and easy-to-use thanks to 2 graphical user interfaces. First there is a simple default one with several predefined modes, but just a few controls, which lets you start quickly and easily without any knowledge. All you need to do is choose what you want and use a few knobs. And the plugins also has an advanced mode, which provides all the extreme features the plugin offers.
- 1-6 fully configurable independent bands built on 3 perfectly transparent crossover algorithms (analog, linear-phase and hybrid) with fully adjustable limits and input gains. Includes peak meters for all bands and the master.
- Continuously adjustable oscillator shape - every oscillator in our plugins is defined by a mix of predefined oscillator shapes, custom waveforms edited using our MeldaProduction Envelope System (MES), step-sequencer and several methods for algorithmic postprocessing. It is the most advanced approach for defining oscillator shapes.
- 4 global modulators - in each instance you can have up to 4 fully-featured modulators that can modulate any set of parameters including other modulators! In this way you can make the sound move in time, be less static and more interesting. Each modulator works as LFO, follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR envelopes, a pitch detector or even a combination.
- Up to 8 channels surround processing - our plugins can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also up to 8 channels of surround audio, making them ideal for audio production for movies, games etc.
- Full randomization - using a single button you can generate completely new settings. By clicking the button you can walk through the billions of possible settings and find the best one for you! And if that's too much, you can just hold ctrl and MMultiBandAutopan will only slightly modify existing settings.
- Automatic synchronization to host tempo - every oscillator and modulator in the plugin can automatically synchronize to the host providing as natural a sound as possible while not offending other tracks.

PanMan
Stereo Width by Soundtoys

Description
Rhythmic Auto Panner
Rhythmic auto-panning with cool classic features, new tricks, and analog colour.
Panning. You wouldn’t be alone if you thought of it as nothing more than the simple act of moving sounds from left to right and back again. But it can be so much more. PanMan opens up a Pandora’s Box of panoramic possibilities. Recreate the sounds of classic hardware panning boxes. Trigger panning with the dynamics of a track. Create complex rhythmic patterns and dizzying sweeps. With the full range of Soundtoys modulation tricks at your disposal, PanMan turns the simple act of panning into something incredibly creative and powerful.
![]()
Classic Auto Panning
PanMan incorporates features inspired by classic auto-panners. There are classic auto-panners? Yep! And we tracked down these obscure boxes, like the Spanner and PanScan, to study what makes them tick. One thing we just had to run with comes from the PanScan: the trigger divider. This quirky feature lets you set the number of trigger events it takes to move to a new pan position. For example, you can set it to scan from the left to right in three triggers. Trigger the panning by clicking with your mouse, automate the trigger with your host, or even set a threshold to have it respond to incoming audio. You can even filter the audio going to the trigger so it responds to just low, or high, frequency events. And of course, we didn’t stop there: we’ve added 7 different analog modes that add saturation and real analog vibe when you push PanMan hard.
![]()
Modern and Musical Tools
Like our other modulation effects, PanMan also offers advanced rhythmic tools that let you create your own signature pan effects. Two different rhythm modes give you tons of possibilities: Step mode lets you chose a new position on each beat and sync it to your host, while the Shape mode lets you choose from a library of custom panning shapes or even draw your own. Open the Tweak panel and you’ll find a bevy of creative options—you’ll be amazed at how versatile PanMan can be.
![]()
For panning effects that follow the feel of the music, you can even set the threshold control and trigger PanMan using the dynamics of your track. Move the width, speed and offset controls based on the rhythm of the audio. Create sounds that sweep whenever the snare drum hits. Change the speed of the panning based on the loudness of a vocal. With PanMan, you’ll come up with creative new pan-based effects you didn’t think were possible.

Features
- Create custom auto panning effects, locked perfectly to your song’s tempo
- Choose from 6 different panning modes including LFO, step and random
- Recreates the clever “trigger divider” feature from the vintage PanScan hardware
- Design your own rhythmic patterns and panning waveshapes
- Set the threshold to let your music’s dynamics control speed, offset and width
- Add vintage tone with 7 different analog emulation algorithms

Haas Snapin
Stereo Width by Kilohearts
Images
Description
Haas: Stereo Widening
Panning sound is key in mixing and sound placement, but amplitude is only part of how humans determine the direction of sound. The Haas effect targets another mechanism that detects small differences in time between left and right to position sound.
Bottom line, it brings stereo width to sounds where there previously was none. Simple as that.
What's a Snapin?
This plugin is a "snapin". That means you can use it as a regular VST/AU plugin, or you can use it with our snapin hosts Multipass and Snap Heap where you can combine effects in amazing ways.
Rating
These are the minimum recommended system requirements for running snapins.
CPU:
- 2 GHz or faster
Memory:

StereoSavage
Stereo Width by Plugin Boutique
Images
Description
![]()
Broaden Your Horizons
Achieve the stunning stereo your mix deserves. StereoSavage provides an innovative stereo toolbox, combining tried and tested studio techniques with emulations of modern and classic tools that will bring your mix to life.
Generate stereo from mono with the 'Vox', 'Delay', 'Expand' and 'Split' programs. Place sounds precisely in the stereo field with the 'Width', 'Pan' and 'Rotation' adjustment tools. Create movement and chorus-like effects with the 'LFO' function, and retain a solid low end with the adjustable 'Bass Bypass' tool.
StereoSavage includes all of these features in a single plugin for the first time, offering the flexibility to enhance your track with dramatic effects, or add the perfect subtle finishing touches.
Audio Demos
Most of the examples start with an untreated example showing the original sounds before stereo savage was applied. The only difference between the untreated sounds and the treated sounds is the addition of the StereoSavage plugin.
Benefits:
- Create stereo from mono sources for richer soundscapes.
- Control the placement and width of stereo sources. Separate instruments within the stereo field.
- Use the rotation effect for an incredibly natural sounding pan.
- Get lush wide vocals in seconds.
- Quick simple controls for achieving a ‘big sound’.
- Add motion and excitement with modulation.
- Retain great mono compatibility with the bass bypass feature.
- Reduce the number of vocal takes required for rich, tight, backing vocals.

Delay: Use a simple delay on a channel to pan or widen a sound, this is great for percussive parts. It also has a huge benefit for club mixes where you want to pan some percussion without making either channel quieter!
-
Expand: Add some aggressive early reflections to make sounds stereo and engaging without adding any unwanted movement.
-
Split: Splits the sound up into multiple frequency bands and pans those bands left and right. Compared with the other three modes it is exceptionally natural sounding.
Stereo Adjustment
![]()
Stereo Adjustment Features:
-
Width: Make it wider, make it wider than wide…or bring it in so other sounds draw focus.
-
Pre: Move the panning before widening for super-wide auto-panning.
-
Rotation: Super-natural panning.
![]()
Add modulation to key controls for movement and excitement. Use the sync to ensure all modulation happens in time with your track. Check out the audio demos to hear this in action.
Bass Bypass
![]()
Essential for maintaining a solid low end signal by allowing the bass to be passed through the plugin unprocessed. The gain knob can be used to compensate for differences in level that may arise as a result of the stereo processing.
Metering
![]()
Metering Features:
-
Goniometer: Ultra precise goniometer for visual display of the stereo placement of your sound.
-
Phase Correlation: Keep a close eye on this to prevent any potential phasing issues.
-
Input / Output: Use the input and output peaks to help keep things balanced.

Enhance the soundstage of your stereo mix, and even bring your mono recordings to life.
Need to open up a stereo mix, individual drums, piano or guitars and making them wider without sounding phasey and keeping mono-compatibility? Or add depth to dry recordings without changing the tone or timbre? Or turn a mono instrument recording into stereo, much bigger than ever before? It's possible now!
-
Width: Width ‘stretches’ the stereo field, off-center content will move towards and beyond the speakers. Phantom center is left untouched, everything around it gets stretched or remapped to a wider stereo field.
-
Depth: Depth adds directionally optimised reflections to create an enhanced sense of depth in the sound field
-
Mono Spread: Mono spread utilises a unique filter design to convert a mono signal into a pseudo-stereo signal
-
Simple yet Beautiful Design: Beautiful Retina interface with unique design, focused on the optimal workflow

ReCenter
Stereo Width by Boom
Images
Description
The Instant Stereo Fix
![]()
Important note: A FREE account at ilok.com is required (a physical USB iLok is not required)
ReCenter automatically repairs off-centre stereo recordings while keeping the original stereo width which makes it an invaluable time-saver and a perfect tool for professional post-production. Fix off-centred stereo field recordings, dynamically centre vocal artists or musicians that moved around the stage or centre hard directional effects like drive-bys and stereo whooshes. ReCenter makes tedious panning automation obsolete so you can focus on your creative flow.
What isReCenter?
ReCenter is a stereo processor that constantly analyses an incoming stereo signal and dynamically rotates it to the centre or a given angle without altering the stereo width. Having the incoming signal centred, you can narrow or widen the stereo image within ReCenter. For a better low-frequency control you can mono the original signal below a set frequency. A multiband processing option intelligently shifts more complicated signals.
![]()
Dynamically correct stereo images
Have you ever worked with stereo material that was not centred correctly? Pointing a stereo microphone a hundred percent accurately onto a sound source gets harder the further away the source is. As a result, you get a recording with a constantly shifting centre that would require you to manually adjust and automate the panning over the whole recording. ReCenter continuously analyzes the directionality of a stereo or M/S signal and rotates it to a given target angle in real-time – without narrowing the stereo image.
Goodbye corrective panning
Correct poorly aimed or moving stereo recordings while skipping the time-consuming and most often ineffective pan automation process. All you need to do is tell ReCenter how hard, fast and precisely it should adjust your signal.
This will drastically improve your workflow and save you hours of manual and tedious panning as well as constantly checking your stereo signal. With ReCenter, you have one thing less to worry about and you can focus all your energies on your creative work.

The Halo Upmix algorithms produce a natural, coherent spatial upmix, preserving the character of the original audio without adding any artificial reverb, chorus or delays.
With the 'Exact' control engaged, Halo Upmix can be used with confidence that the original source integrity is precisely preserved in the downmix.
Natural extension
Powerful real-time analysis of the original stereo material identifies and extracts locational cues to naturally extend the panorama, leaving the inherent character of the original source intact.
- Coherent spatial upmix
- Full access to surround balances
- Low frequency energy control
- Clear visual feedback
- Direct control over upmix parameters
- No artificial reverb, chorus or delays
- 'Exact' downmix mode with in-place audition
