Description

MPowerSynth is an extremely versatile synthesizer featuring the best sounding oscillators on the market, the most advanced distorting filters and a unique modular effects engine. It also features our smart randomization system providing endless inspiration!

1500+ High Quality Presets and Randomiser

MPowerSynth comes with over 1500 community designed presets, post-processed to get the highest possible quality. Each preset features at least 4 macro controls, automatically assigned to standard MIDI controllers such as modulation wheel or expression pedal. This means unexhaustible set of leads, pads, basses, effects and much more... And if you run out of inspiration or simply want something really new, our ground-breaking smart randomization engine will let you create literally infinite number of sounds.

Sounds Better than Both Analog & Digital

Almost all digital synthesizers on the market produce severe aliasing. Some try to fight it by oversampling, some ignore it, and others simply add some noise and tell you that this simulates analog synthesizers. Analog synthesizers on the other hand suffer from limited versatility, distortion induced by the imperfection of the analog components, and, of course, noise. MPowerSynth oscillators provide crystal clear sound free of any aliasing, distortion and other imperfections. But of course, if you want to make it less perfect, MPowerSynth gives you plenty of opportunities to do so. Don't take our word for it - get the trial and check it yourself! If you don't hear it, just use an analyzer, MAnalyzer is free :).

More than 100 Ultra Versatile Filters

MPowerSynth features extremely versatile double-distorting filters, two of them for each voice and any number of them in the FX section. Each provides an advanced input distortion and output saturation, and the filter itself is powered by its own envelope or you can control it using the powerful modulators. And you can choose from more than 100 different filters - from classic low/high/band-pass and shelves, to formant, comb, diffuser, polymorph filters and much more.

The Ultimate Modular FX Section

MPowerSynth features almost all of the top-class effects MeldaProduction is known for, in an easy-to-use modular environment. If you just want a great sounding rotary or chorus, it is 2 clicks away. But you can have literally any number of effects you want, connect them however you want, add feedback etc. The smart randomizer can generate the whole FX structures! And if you jump in manually, it really lets you unleash your creativity! So what effects you have at your disposal? Over 35, consisting of modulation effects, filters, distortion, dynamics and much more. And of course lots of building blocks, such as a crossover, feedback, mixer etc.

Extremely Versatile Modulators

All our creative plugins feature probably the most versatile modulators on the market, and MPowerSynth is no exception. Whenever you wish to bring life to the sound, it is just a few clicks away. You can modulate literally anything using LFO, envelope and random generator. Things like MIDI reset, sync, custom LFO and envelope shapes are certainly available...

Polyphonic Arpeggiator

MPowerSynth's polyphonic arpeggiator is so versatile, that you may consider it cheating! It can follow your chords up, down, randomly, play all of the notes, specific interval, or any combination. Then you have shuffle, note length, multi-octave etc. You can change velocity, octave, length and even probability for each step. And the best part is, as always, the smart randomizer, which lets you generate complete arpeggiator settings, or just some sequences...get inspired!

New Standard in Audio Synthesis

MPowerSynth just gives you more than you are used to - custom glide shape, custom velocity curve, harmony voices, automatic output volume setup, safety limiter, up to 16x oversampling and much more... Whether you are focused on audio quality, maximum creativity or ease-of-use, MPowerSynth provides more. MPowerSynth is a new class of synthesizers focused on the future.

Features

  • The Most Advanced User Interface on the Market - Stylable, Resizable, GPU Accelerated

  • Modern user interfaces must not only be easy and quick to use, but also versatile and the whole visual appearance should inspire you. MPowerSynth features the most advanced GUI engine on the market. It is still the first and only GUI engine, which is freely resizable and stylable. It also lets you choose between knobs, sliders or buttons, whichever you like the most.
  • The plugin can look as an ancient vintage gear, if you are working on old-school rock music. Or as super-modern futuristic device if you are working on modern electronic music.
  • If your display doesn't have a high resolution, you can make the plugin smaller. If the fonts are too small, you can make the plugin bigger and save your eyes.
  • All the graphics is accelerated using your GPU, graphical interface, providing ultimately quick response and keep your CPU focused on the audio.
  • Unique Visualisation Engine with Classic Meters and Time Graphs

  • Your ears should always be the main judge, but a smart metering system can often be a huge help. MPowerSynth provides the most advanced metering system out there. The plugin can display the measurements of all relevant values using classic meters, or it can even show them in time using the time graphs. Everything is customisable as usual.
  • MPowerSynth provides 8 fully-featured modulators which can control any set of parameters including other modulators. Each modulator works as an LFO, level follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR enveloper, randomiser or pitch detector, or even a combination and can listen to the plugin\'s side-chain.
  • You can make the sound move in time, be less static and more interesting. You can make various parameters depend on the input (or the sidechain) level or even listen to the input pitch.
  • Adjustable Oscillator Shape Technology

  • Every oscillator in MPowerSynth uses the most versatile oscillator algorithm on the market. It provides mix of predefined oscillator shapes, custom waveforms edited using our MeldaProduction Envelope System (MES), a step-sequencer and several methods for algorithmic post-processing.
  • It also provides a harmonic mode, which lets you control the harmonic content instead of oscillator shape. This is especially useful for high frequency oscillators.
  • Multiparameters

  • MPowerSynth lets you control multiple parameters using a single so-called multiparameter. This may not only come handy for automation for example, but the multiparameters are very smart units and you can use them to smartly morph between banks of settings for example. All in the name of creativity!

CS-80 V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

She's a Replicant

CS-80 V is our modeled version of the legendary Yamaha™ CS-80, considered by many to be the ultimate polyphonic synthesizer of the late ‘70s.

Huge in size and price tag, the CS-80 was a flagship synthesizer of the 1970's. It's unique dual voice layout allowed for rich and full sounds that have not been matched to this day. It was popularized by artists such as Toto, Jean-Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Stevie Wonder, Vangelis, Ultravox and Peter Gabriel, to name a few. Hit song after hit song has turned this synthesizer into a true legend.

More than three decades after its release, the time has come to rediscover a sound that has contributed extensively to the history of music.

Evolution of the Species

The original Yamaha CS-80 was probably one of the most expressive synthesizers made.

With its polyphonic aftertouch, separate high pass and low pass filters and large ribbon controller it became the voice of artists like Vangelis and ABBA.

Multi-Mode

The sound of the CS80 makes it standout for pad sounds. For that cinematic sound that will stand out in a mix and drive emotion, CS-80 V is the right choice for you.

There is Never Enough of a Good Thing

While the CS-80 was wonderful sounding, it was missing some critical modulation routing that a modern synth should have. We added a modulation matrix which has opened up the sound design capabilities to new heights. The new voice modes and arpeggiator breath new life into this classic giving you even bigger sounds than original.

Main Features

Prophet V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

The Whole is Better than the Sum of the Parts

The Prophet 5 and Prophet VS set standards and redefined the modern synthesizer. We have brought these classics back to life for you.

The Prophet 5 was the first totally programmable synthesizer on the market. This revolutionary synth became the basis for all other polysynths to this day. The Prophet VS was the last synth made by SCI and again it set the synth world on its ear. Its digital vector synthesis brought a new soundscape that was then carried on in products from Korg and Yamaha.

The Original Prophet

While the Prophet 5 was known for its 2 oscillator analog warmth, the Prophet VS used four digital wave table oscillators giving a crystal and clear sound. We have recreated both of these classic machines to give them the detail heard in the originals.

Prophet 5

Prophet VS

Prophet Hybrid

Perfectly Balanced Yin and Yang

The Prophet V's combined personality of analog warmth and thickness blended with thehard edge digital sound of the VS make it perfect for the throwback 80's sound or the modern techno chord stabs.

The Perfect Blend

While Prophet 5 and Prophet VS were great machines, what if you could blend the two?

Our Hybrid mode is an astounding combination of Prophet 5 and Prophet VS. The result is an entirely new sound palette at your disposal: the analog subtractive synthesis plus the digital wavetable / vector synthesis of the other, both available at once in one massively powerful instrument.

Wurli V

Synth by Arturia

Description

The Return of a Classic

Wurlitzer-V is Arturia’s amazingly accurate physical model of the classic Wurlitzer 200A electric piano.

The Wurli 200A piano had a sound that could go from mellow and soft to hard and brash. This harder sound is what made it so popular in rock music as it could cut through a mix like a knife.

A Soulful Reproduction

Using advanced physical modeling we recreated this complex and dynamic sound.

The output can then be processed and shaped through a host of modeled guitar effects pedals. On the output we give you options like a guitar amp a Leslie rotating speaker or direct for making a vast array of sounds.

Your New Best Friend

When it comes to a great rock or R&B electric piano, nothing beats the percussive and cutting sound of the Wurli V.Whether you are playing electric rock backing tracks or psycodelic space trance, you will find the right sound for your song.

So Logical

Since we used physical modeling and not static samples to create the sound, we opened up parts of the modeling engine that allows you to have in-depth control of how the instrument behaves. You can change things like hammer hardness or the harmonic spectrum or the dynamic range...all these add to the possibilities of this amazing instrument.

Main Features

  • Physical Modeling of the classic Wurlitzer 200A Electric Piano
  • Advanced parameters to allow in-depth control over your sound design
  • Includes 11 classic stompbox-type modeled effects*
  • 4 Guitar Tube Amps and 1 Rotary Speaker modeling for vintage live sound **
  • Extensive MIDI mapping of pedals, effects and sound engine parameters

Modeled Amplifiers

  • Fender Deluxe Reverb Blackface, Fender Twin Reverb Blackface, Fender Bassman, Marshall Plexi, Leslie Speaker.

*Modeled Microphones

  • Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD 421, Neumann U 87.

**Modeled Effects

  • Wah wah pedal, Autowah, Overdrive, Flanger, Compressor, Phaser, Chorus, Delay, Pitch Shifter / Chorus, Vocal Filter, Reverb.

Syn’x 2 is a Polytimbral Synthesiser inspired for the synthesis part by a legendary Italian Synthesizer from the 80's, while its multilayer card based architecture is inspired by sophisticated hardware analog monsters like the Oberheim Matrix 12.

The sound it offers the striking combination of clear and punchy DCOs with cutting multimode modelled analog filters like it’s ancestor, one of the last Vintage Polyphonic Analog Synthesizers, and a piece of Synthesis history, including the famous BBD Chorus!

And because it’s multitimbral, you can use up to 16 oscillators, 8 0df Analog Filters, 32 DADSR envelopes and Modulation Matrixes addressing any of the 132 possible destinations to build your own patches, when the 300 Factory Library Presets will be not enough.

It’s a Xils-Lab synthesizer, so we added MORE. To name a few:

  • Oscillators with cumulative waveforms (Up to 40 per patch)
  • New 0DF PWM/Hard Sync Algorithm
  • Unique LFO's with cumulative waveforms (Up to 50 per patch)
  • Additional D-ADSR envelopes and Modulation Matrixes  (Per Layer)
  • Unison, 2 arpeggiators, 2 Keyboards zones, Guitar Multitimbral mode
  • A Plethora of monophonic and polyphonic Play Modes
  • PolySequencer (Also acting as a modulation source)
  • Easy Sound Creation with our unique Smart Load Technology
  • Vintage sounding effects: Chorus, Phaser, Delay, Analog EQ. True Stereo Technology.
  • And a dual programming environment which offers you two different edit mode ( Easy and Advanced)

The Easy Mode enables you to benefit from a powerful, yet intuitive and streamlined programming environment similar to the  miniSyn’X duo-timbral synthesizer, but with the additional power of additional envelopes, LFOs, etc

The Advanced mode unleashed the total power of the Syn’X 2 to build thick, complex, and never heard patches, still with a totally revamped and fast workflow.

All this Making Syn'X 2 one of the most powerful and complex Virtual Analog Synthesizer of the modern era and offering you the best of both worlds: Vintage Sound in a modern frame, and never seen possibilities

Description

Amazing Oscillators, Unique Filters

For FabFilter One, we have put tremendous effort in creating the best cut-off filter ever. Our new design approach has resulted in the fattest and smoothest self-oscillating digital filter you have ever heard. It has been tuned carefully to achieve the character and warmth of a classic analog synthesizer. FabFilter One’s filter sounds raw but never cheap or ‘digital’, even at full resonance.

The filter is fed by an equally high-quality solid-sounding oscillator, developed from scratch to be completely aliasing-free. It features sawtooth, triangle, and square wave forms with pulse width modulation.

The oscillator and the filter can be modulated by the LFO and the EG. The LFO offers triangle and square wave forms, with adjustable wave balance so any wave form between sawtooth and triangle can be selected. The tempo can be synchronized to the host. The EG has the usual ADSR knobs, but with a perfectly fine-tuned feel. Also, it has an additional Hold setting that extends the time keys are held down.

What FabFilter One excels at is the attention to detail and fine-tuning that is visible throughout the plug-in. For example, the portamento feature doesn't just slide from one note to another, but uses a carefully selected algorithm to make your playing more lively and give it just that little extra bit of magic.

Smart Parameter Interpolation handles changes to any of FabFilter One's parameters, ensuring both responsiveness and smooth transitions. There are no annoying digital clicks and zipper effects, and even MIDI controller changes are handled perfectly smooth.

Naturally, the FabFilter One plug-in handles all parameter changes at sample accuracy and it can be used with arbitrary sample rates. All parameters are fully automatable within your favorite host and via MIDI Learn. The included help file describes all features of FabFilter One in detail, together with overviews and tutorials to create various types of sounds.

Hybrid 3

Synth by AIR Music Technology

Description

The Next Generation in Synthesis

Hybrid 3.0 is the next generation in synthesis. This high-definition virtual synthesizer combines the coveted warmth of analog synths with a full range of futuristic digital manipulation capabilities. The result is the best of both worlds — a virtual instrument with a comprehensive set of precisely adjustable parameters that can sound like a synth you remember or something no one has ever heard before.

1200+ Built-In Sounds

Hybrid 3.0 comes with over 1,200 inspirational presets designed to jumpstart the creative process. Over 200 new patches, designed by the acclaimed AIR sound designers, include everything from wobbles, synth pads, arpeggios, poly synths, basses, leads, sequences, and much more. Hybrid veterans will be pleased to find that the familiar Hybrid 2.0 presets have been completely reworked, allowing users to experience their favorite sounds with all the sonic improvements of Hybrid 3.0. If you’re prone to tweaking, Hybrid 3.0 is loaded with a comprehensive set of user-adjustable parameters that let you create unique sounds and fine-tune them to taste. With support for two simultaneous parts (i.e. a powerful combination of two separate, 3-oscillator synthesizers), you can layer, split, or spread sounds to produce deep, complex, and wide patches. Plus, the simple patch browser makes it easy to find the preset you’re looking for and allows you to load two presets simultaneously, one into each part, for experimenting with rich timbres and playing multi-patch sounds.

High-Definition Oscillators

With three versatile oscillators and a sub oscillator per part, Hybrid 3.0 is capable of stacking multiple oscillators together for huge pads, leads, basses, and more. Two multifunctional oscillators can recreate the classic subtractive-synthesis waveforms for a dose of analog nostalgia. In addition, these oscillators feature algorithms for digital wavetables. As a result, users can choose from nine different modes, including the Multi-Square waveform, Saw Sync, Saw Cross Modulation (which modulates the pitch of a saw wave with the output of a triangle wave for complex tones), Saw Multi (a stack of seven saws in unison), Square Sync, Square Cross Modulation, Square Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), and Wavetable. Hybrid 3.0 offers 100 wavetables with up to 64 single-cycle waveforms each. A third oscillator includes saw, square, or triangle waves, plus a noise generator and a sub oscillator for deep bass effects.

Dual Filtering and Saturation Modes

Hybrid 3.0 features two multi-mode filters that can run in series or in parallel. In addition, the filters can be assigned one per channel to the stereo outputs, or set so that Oscillator 1 feeds Filter 1, with the remaining Oscillators being routed to Filter 2. Both of the filters offer your choice of DCF (Digitally Controlled Filter) or VCF models. The vintage Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF) makes it easier than ever to achieve those fat, retro synth sounds of the ’70s and ’80s. This sound filter brings the legendary soft and fat warmth of classic analog synth hardware filters to Hybrid 3.0.

Use the revolutionary multimode filters to control the tone color of a part by removing or accenting certain frequencies. Choose from an extensive collection of 23 modes. Then dial in the filter cut-off, velocity, and key tracking. Use the resonance dial to change the tone from a nasal sound to a ringing tone by emphasizing frequencies around the cut-off and generating self-oscillation. A blend of the third oscillator and noise generator can serve as an audio modulation source for filter cut-off, producing distinctive electronic audio effects.

To add some serious edge, adjust the filter saturation. Hybrid 3.0 offers the original Overdrive filter, which creates a soft tube-like clipping and includes five additional filter saturation modes: Distort, which creates a harder, brighter clipping; Hard Clip, which creates a very hard and bright transistor-like clipping; Rectify, which creates a gentle distortion that retains the character of the input signal; Bit Crush, which creates deliberate aliasing by reducing the bit depth; and Resample, which creates deliberate aliasing by reducing the sample rate.

LFOs

Hybrid 3.0 includes four LFOs per part: two monophonic, one polyphonic, and one special Pump LFO. Use the LFOs to modulate pitch, loudness, or cut-off to produce vibrato, tremolo, or electronic sweeps. Choose from eight modulation types, ranging from sine and triangle waves to random, “drift,” and sample-and-hold modulation. Change the depth, rate, phase, and sync mode to quickly and dramatically alter the sound.

Pump is a special type of envelope that simulates studio side-chaining to create the pumping-and-breathing effect. In the case of Hybrid 3.0, this rhythmic effect can be applied to much more than the overall mix. The Pump LFO can be routed to create a rhythmic effect on a variety of specific parameters, such as pitch or filter settings.

Envelope Editors

Use the four envelope editors to easily sculpt the filter, amplitude, and any two other modulation envelopes. Adjust velocity, attack, decay, and key tracking, and then type in the envelope rate.

Hype Algorithm

New to Hybrid 3.0 is Hype, a quick way of enhancing the low- or high- end of any patch. Beef up wobbles, basses, and kick-drum sounds with deep, sub-bass by adjusting the Hype Low parameter, or turn up Hype High to polish off the high end with shimmer and sparkle; the latter sounds great on pads, strings, brass, and percussive sounds.

Doubling

Hybrid 3.0 offers a new way of making your patches sound enormous. Two Doubling knobs, one for each part, are built into the Common tab for additional widening and thickening. Turn up the Doubling knobs to full for a dramatic response or mix it in subtly for a slight thickening effect.

Performance-Oriented Features

Whether you use it in the studio or in a live situation, Hybrid 3.0 is built to perform. Use the step sequencers for arpeggiation or phrase generation. Set the modulation matrix to easily map modulations from sources to destinations. And set up “morph” groups to modify sounds on the fly, from the interface or a MIDI controller.

Step Sequencers

Hybrid 3.0’s onboard 16-step sequencers have been revamped for more programming and sequencing flexibility. Now, steps can be linked together to vary sequencer rhythm, manipulate note dynamics, and create advanced modulation patterns. Like before, both step sequencers can function as a composition tool or an extra modulation source, making it easy to create patches that move and evolve. You can set note values, velocity, and modulation, and then pick from nine playback options to use the sequencer as a step sequence, arpeggiator, or MIDI phrase generator. Plus, you can even import your own MIDI phrases for complete customization.

Modulation Matrices

Hybrid 3.0 also offers flexible and easy-to-use modulation matrices with 16 assignable modulation sources and more than 20 destinations each. Assign modulations to an oscillator or filter. Hybrid 3.0 allows multiple assignments of sources and destinations, all with adjustable intensities.

Morph Groups

With Hybrid 3.0, you can assign any rotary control or fader on the plugin’s interface to one of the four “morph” groups. Assign pan, filter, or amplifier envelopes to a morph group to alter sounds from your controller while recording or playing live. Each morph group can control several parameters simultaneously. You, in turn, can control morph groups from the dials on the interface or from a MIDI controller.

Effects

Hybrid 3.0 provides two insert effect sends per part, each with more than 40 effect types, so you can quickly change the sound of a part. A separate master effects section lets you select reverb, delay, and chorus effects to enhance — or warp — any of the sounds at the patch level. Easily adjust effect parameters and sync effects to a chosen tempo.

Seamless DAW Integration

Hybrid 3.0 is available in VST and AAX plugin formats for both 32- and 64-bit operating systems and in AU for 64-bit operating systems. With its rich set of analog and digital sounds and a large array of adjustable parameters, Hybrid 3.0 gives musicians, arrangers, composers, and sound designers the qualities and character of a unique hardware synthesizer with the convenience and flexibility of an integrated plugin.

Description

Time to let your DAW gone wild with the all-new MonoGrizzly 2 VST synthesizer! A full grown monophonic and analog modelled synth for raw and wild analog styled bass and synth sounds.

After some years in the cage, the MonoGrizzly 2 has finally grown to its full size and is ready to bare it`s claws! Coming with a completely reworked engine, a lot of own character, massive oscillators, a toasty filter module based on the classic ladder design and fx effects – packed into an easy-to-use interface.

Starting on the all-new oscillators, which generating 3 analog modelled waveforms at once, you can use with all 3 oscillators together up to 9 waveforms on one note. Every oscillator is enhanced two new sound shaping features: “Spread” – allows to modulate the phases of each contained waveform, and “Roast” – with this mode you can drive the hole sound character of the oscillator to a way more crunchy and rough taste with just one mouse click. In addition you can also sync the second and third oscillator and add noise through the mixer module.

Followed by the overworked filter module, loaded with a tube-based filter drive unit for saturation and an analog modelled 4-pole lowpass ladder filter with a passive controlled feedback circuit. Rounded off with the improved envelopes and new LFO with 8 waveforms, which allows more modulation targets as in the previous version. The new effect section contains a decimate and overdrive fx, aswell as the new two band equalizer. All this packed together with 2x oversampling and anti-aliasing algorithm into the new GUI and charged with 75 new presets – waiting to shows it`s claws and bring you raw and wild sounds!

SEM V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

More than a Resemblance

A giant has come back to life. Oberheim's legendary SEM - Synthesizer Expander Module - is back for the first time as a high-end software emulation powered by Arturia's exclusive TAE® technology.

The SEM module was originally made to compliment other synthesizers but later came into its own as a great sounding synth. The unique filter that allowed continuously variable operation from low pass to high pass gave it a sound that no other had. When multiple SEM's were connected into a 4 or 8 voice polyphonic system, it became a thing of beauty.

Analog Masterpiece Revisited

Accurately recreating the tone, waveshapes, multimode 12dB/octave filter and other detailed characteristics, SEM V delivers all the deep analog sounds that made its grand ancestor so unique and praised. Our voice programmer mode allows you to recreate the sound of the huge and rare 8 Voice.

Uber Mine of Sound

The SEM is known as a bass and lead machine but our recreation extends it well beyond the original. it's sound pallet extends to moving 8 voice pads , acid arpeggios and even electronic percussion.

Expanded Creativity

While the SEM was a great synth, we wanted to make it even better.

We added new innovations like the sub-oscillator for deep basses. A second LFO with more waveforms, and the modulation matrix greatly expands the sonic capabilities of the SEM. Add to this the arpeggiator and Key Follow modulator and you get one super powered synth.

Main Features

  • All the original parameters of the Oberheim SEM : two oscillators, each offering sawtooth wave and variable-width pulse wave with PWM, sine wave LFO, 12dB/oct multi-mode Filter with low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch, two ADS envelope generators.
  • Added functionalities : New LFO, Noise, Sub oscillator, on board effects (overdrive, chorus and delay), Arpeggiator, Portamento.
  • Polyphony up to 32 and 8 Voice Multitimbrality
  • New 8 Voice Programmer module
  • Advanced Keyboard Follow module
  • Modulation Matrix module
  • Works in Standalone
  • Now compatible with iSEM Preset export/import

  • 11 new factory presets from Kevin Lamb
  • 14 new factory presets from Drew Newmann
  • "Forward Retrigg" mode for the 8-Voice Programmer (for easy use of sequences using the Arpeggiator)
  • "Reassign" mode for the 8-Voice Programmer (like in the original one, the SEM V will first use the boards that are not gated in its voice assignment)
  • Sustain pedal is now active on all systems

Solina V

Synth by Arturia

Description

No Strings Attached

We’re keeping the love alive with Solina V, our physical model of the classic Arp/Eminent Solina string machine.

Before polyphonic synthesizers, there were the string machines. The Solina, made originally by Eminent and rebranded for Arp, defined a class of sounds that are still as in demand today as ever. The Solina was probably heard on more albums in the 1970's and 80s than any other single keyboard.

Like fresh Oxygen

We began by modeling the original Solina MK1 from Eminent making sure that the Violin, viola, cello, horn and trumpet sounds were as rich and warm as the original. The renowned ENSEMBLE effect was carefully modeled and is a thing of beauty that cannot be found in any of the sample-based string machines.

Strings and Things

Solina V is perfect for that string wash in your Nu Disco tracks or as a phase shifted pad in your old school electronic music track.

Soaring Beyond the Past

Besides recreating the original features of the Solina, we took a step further and expanded the sonic palette beyond anything the original designers could have imagined.

Additional features like the Vox Humana and Resonators from the 1978 Bob Moog polysynth, original paraphonic and new polyphonic modes of operation, a 24dB per octave filter on the bass section, an LFO, an arpeggiator, and more all add up to creating the biggest and baddest string machine ever.

Main Features

  • All of the original parameters of the ARP/Eminent Solina string ensemble
  • Vox Humana sound modeled after the original 1978 Bob Moog's Polysynth
  • Classic Paraphonic operation as well as selectable Polyphonic mode
  • 1978 Bob Moog’s polysynth resonator section on Upper Section
  • 24dB per octave resonant filter on Bass Section
  • Arpeggiator on Bass Section
  • LFO for vibrato, tremolo and filter modulation
  • Aftertouch and velocity level controls
  • Solina MK1 and MK2 ensemble modes
  • 3-mode stereo chorus
  • Stereo dual phaser
  • Analog delay
  • Digital sync delay
  • Convolution reverb with 24 modeled reverbs
  • 150 presets

Matrix 12 V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

Enter The Matrix

The massively powerful Oberheim Matrix-12 has been resurrected at last. Using our TAE™ modeling technology, we are able to recapture this beast of a synthesizer and bring it to you.

The Matrix 12 was the first programmable analog synthesizer that took the best features of a preset voice path and modular flexibility. This bold combination made it a force of nature and something that had not been seen before. It also had a 15 mode filter system that enabled it to have sounds that had never been heard before.

Making the Model

Every point in the signal path is important when modeling the sound of such a revered instrument.

So to establish the proper foundation, we perfectly recreated the tonal characteristics of the original 2 oscillators and their waveforms in Matrix-12 V. And it was equally critical to capture every nuance of its 15 filter modes, so we kept at it until they had been modeled perfectly!

Another factor in defining the complex sound of the Matrix-12 was the amazing number of modulation sources and destinations it provided. This was a level of sophistication previously only available in a fully modular system.

So to complete the emulation we modeled these capabilities also, even surpassing them. With a nearly endless number of possible modulation routings in Matrix-12 V you can create sounds with highly organic qualities not found in other synthesizers.

50 Shades of Sound

A true chamelion of a synthesizer. With its 15 filter modes you can create everything you need from the thin and airy to the brash and bold.

The Power of Perfection

While the Matrix-12 was amazing in itself, we pushed it further by adding a new effects chain for further processing of the sound.

We also expanded the maximum number of modulation routings from 20 to 40, giving you even more creative freedom. Add to this the ability to control all the parameters via MIDI, and now you can do automations in a DAW or manually that could never be done before.

Main Features

  • Two oscillators, each offering triangle, sawtooth and variable-width pulse wave with PWM.
  • Oscillator 2 also function as a white noise generator.
  • Oscillator 1 or the Filter can be frequency modulated.
  • Single filter with 15 modes: 4 Low Pass, 3 High Pass, 2 Band Pass modes, Notch and Phase Shift plus four additional "combo" filter modes.
  • Ultra-powerful modulation matrix with 27 sources and 47 destinations.
  • Sources include 5 envelopes, 5 LFOs, 4 Ramp, 3 Track generators, Velocity, Pressure, Keyboard follow, and more.
  • Two insert effect slots with six studio-grade effects available.
  • 12 voices of polyphony like the original instrument
  • Multitimbral
  • Works in Standalone, VST, VST3, AU, AAX.

Description

For a limited time, receive PRISMA (instrument layering plugin) and RP-AMOD (multi-effect) plugins FREE!

At the Dutch Dancefair 2014, DJ Promo (aka producer Sebastian Hoff) and DJ Free-K (aka producer Freek Vergoossen) approached Rob Papen with the idea of a synthesiser that focused more on 'distorted' sounds with an easy to use layout.

Renowned for delivering fresh, cutting edge and musical plugins for producers, Rob Papen invited the DJs to his studio for a brainstorming session resulting in a list of 'must have' features and tools for a brand new synth. Armed with this list and several more brainstorming sessions later, Rob Papen and his development team created a powerful new virtual synth RAW.

RAW has two oscillators each with an X/Y field, (as included in Blade and BLUEII) to distort the waveform using Phase Distortion. But that's not all, you can also draw two of your own 'waveforms' and use them as LFO waveforms enabling the creation of unique 'wobble' movements that are perfect for for DubStep and other electronic music styles.

RAW has all the great Rob Papen filters to shape your sound further, but in a refreshing twist, 'EQ', ‘Waveshaper', 'Distortion' and 'LoFi' have also been added on a voice synthesis level. Other FX such as Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Stereo delay and the amazing HQ Reverb of Rob Papen can all be added to your sound and of course, the cool Arpeggiator/Sequencer, Easypage and preset bank manager have all been included as standard.

In true Rob Papen style, RAW comes with many great presets with mainly contributions from several well known DJs and Producers for instant user inspiration!

Promo, Ophidian, Mad dog, Deathmachine, D-Passion, Rob Fabrie, DJ Thera, N-Vitral, Tha Playah, DJ Hidden, The Viper, Warface and many more...

New Features include:

  • Analog drift on/off button
  • Drag and drop modulation
  • Right menu on dial expanded with modulation routing option
  • Improved Reverb code
  • Path options, to change the order of modules or the fx modules
  • Extra Pre filter distortion inside
  • Filter Bank manager now has the 'star' feature, for easily finding your favourite preset
  • Over 750 extra presets (now around 3000 in total!)

Creativity shouldn't be complicated. Craft totally unique sounds and finish more songs with Circle².

Circle² is the new major update to Future Audio Workshop’s flagship software synthesizer, Circle. Since its release in 2009, Circle has achieved cult status, becoming a key tool in the arsenal of both seminal underground and pop hitmakers such as Hudson Mohawke, Arca, David Guetta and Deadmau5. The 2015 update incorporates several new features, modules and effects, extending the spectrum of sounds that can be composed. Circle² also features a completely redesigned user interface, providing a forward-thinking interpretation of Circle's esteemed user-centred design approach.

Usability is at the heart of the design of Circle². With the affordance of the power of modern computer processors, many software synthesizers have become progressively more complex and difficult to use. The aim of Circle is to step aside from this path and to instead focus on placing flow and intuitiveness at the core of the music-making process. Rather than burying a deluge of synthesis parameters in submenus and external windows, Circle² encourages experimentation by presenting parameters in an accessible and intuitive manner.

The unique Circle² interface enables a level of experimentation that would be unachievable via a more typical, convoluted interface; allowing the user to focus on creativity rather than technicalities. This design philosophy sets Circle² apart in the synthesizer landscape and provides the foundation for the development of the next generation. Instead of designing Circle² to graphically replicate its analog predecessors, Future Audio Workshop have been working alongside Berlin-based designer Lars Hammerschmidt to bring Circle² firmly into the 21st century through the use of a contemporary design language that looks more to the future than the past. The goal was to construct an even flatter design with brighter, more distinct colors than was seen in Circle.

VPS: A New Kind Of Synthesis

  • Create harmonically rich tones that morph over time
  • Great for evolving leads, gritty basses, ethereal pads and contorted sounds
  • Only available in Circle²

Based on state-of-the-art digital synthesis research, the brand new VPS (vector phase shaping synthesis) oscillator is one of the most exciting new features of Circle². The new oscillator utilizes a cutting-edge synthesis technique introduced by researchers at the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering and The National University of Ireland, and further developed for its implementation in Circle² via an academic collaboration with Future Audio Workshop.

The VPS oscillator works by glueing together a pair of sine waves with specified frequencies. Via its two parameters - which control the frequencies of the sine waves and the location at which they are glued - the VPS oscillator provides direct control of the waveform’s intricate harmonics. Experimentation throughout the oscillator development process has led to a range of results; from dirty Reese style bass patches to ethereal pads and gritty lead lines. Modulating the parameters can produce a wide range of effects, either used subtly to give gentle movement, or used harshly to twist and contort a synth into oblivion. We’re excited to hear what synthesis results users can achieve using the new oscillator.

Description

miniBit 8-Bit / Chiptune Synthesiser

miniBit is an 8-bit/chiptune style synthesizer plugin that emulates the sound of 80s game consoles and retro computers.

It features a main oscillator with 18 waveforms paired with a tunable sub-oscillator (square wave). The waveforms are not bandlimited and will produce aliasing. Same of the waveforms were carefully created and edited with an Amiga 1200, while others were meticulously recreated from the sounds of the best classic games that we have collected over the years.

You can create all kind of noisy and retro sounds with the built-in bitcrusher, delay section and filter. You can also use the synced 8 Steps Stepper/Sequencer with multiple destinations.
From noisy, snare-like steps to ambient subs, miniBit has many uses beyond what one expects from a chip tune synth.

Features

  • 18 Waveforms + Sub Oscillator
  • Poly and Mono mode with Glide
  • 2-poles LowPass/HighPass Filter
  • Delay and BitCrusher effects
  • LFO with multiple destinations

Description

The Spirit Of Analogue

DIVA - Dinosaur Impersonating Virtual Analogue Synthesizer

The oscillators, filters and envelopes closely model components found in some of the great monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. Modules can be mixed and matched so you can build hybrids, but what sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the analogue sound. This comes at the cost of quite a high CPU hit, but we think it was worth it.

Diva is the first native software synth that applies methods from industrial circuit simulators (e.g. PSpice) in real time. The behaviour of zero-delay-feedback filters when pushed to the limit clearly demonstrates the advantages of this groundbreaking approach.

Check out more than 1200 presets. If your computer can handle it, try them in "Divine" mode.

Filters

This is where a LOT of Diva's magic happens - Diva's zero-delay-feedback filters set a very high standard of authenticity.

Each filter type closely models a classic analogue hardware filter (or two): You can already choose between Ladder, Cascade, Multi-Mode, Bite... and more are planned!

Envelopes

Two envelopes, one for the output amp and the other general-purpose. Again, there is a choice of several different models based on classic hardware synthesizers.

The characteristics of amp and filter envelopes within the same synthesizer often differ. This important detail has also been carefully modelled.

Mix & Match

All modules in the upper rack can be replaced - send any of the oscillator models through any filter model to any amp/envelope model.

The rack also offers highpass filter models (pre or post main filter) or feedback from output to input.

Effects

3 x analogue chorus, 2 x analogue phaser, plate reverb, stereo analogue delay, rotary speaker emulations...

The two effects are arranged in series - you can even use two plate reverbs, one after the other.

Modifiers

Modulation processors: Rectify, quantize, multiply, invert, lag, add modulation sources before using them.

There are also several modulation options here that aren't available in all the main panels (e.g. filter resonance, feedback).

Trimmers

Diva shows her most esoteric side here as she saucily flashes those voice activity indicators!

As well as detuning individual voices, a voice-specific offset is applied to cutoff, envelope times, pulse width and glide.

Scope

Every synth needs an oscilloscope! Diva has a no-nonsense scope that only requires two knobs - frequency and scale.

Patches

Diva comes loaded with over 1,200 presets sorted into various categories. Select a folder from the bottom left panel, then a preset from the main area.

Features

  • Authentic, unrivalled analogue sound
  • Up to 40% less CPU-hit than version 1.0
  • Multithreading support for modern CPUs - more polyphony, less overload
  • Even bigger library of gorgeously organic presets
  • Resizable editor window, alternative skins available shortly
  • The essence of 7 or 8 vintage synths for about 1% of the cost
  • ...and so much more!

Zebra2: A Synth of all Stripes

Zebra2 is a sound-design playground. A powerful, high quality (but still CPU friendly) sound engine together with numerous sound sculpting tools makes Zebra2 capable of a near-limitless range of new sounds and textures. A favourite amongst soundtrack composers, producers and sound designers, Zebra2 provides all the tools you need—the rest is up to you.

Workhorse with stripes

Zebra is our wireless modular synthesizer. It combines many different types of synthesis with a powerful modulation engine. Imagine - you can create any additive, freehand or spline-based waveform you like, apply a vast selection of spectral effects, morph between those waves and send them through classic synth filters. Perhaps use that entire sound as a modulator for an FM oscillator, or route it through a comb filter - the building block of physical modelling synthesis. All generator modules, all signal paths, all effects are stereo.

Although the possibilities are practically infinite, you will never be overwhelmed by needless complexity - Zebra’s adaptive interface only shows the modules you are actually using. It is a fascinating playground for sound designers. That is what Zebra is all about, that is why it has become so popular. That is why thousands of free presets are available online.

Why we think you will love Zebra...

  • The Right Voicings for the Chords You Know - Strum GS-2 chord library contains basic and extended chords available in open, movable, or drop voicings. Play the chords you know and Strum voices them automatically as a guitarist would.
  • Strum on Your Keyboard - Trigger down and upstrokes, scratches and mutes, or create picking patterns using the arpeggio keys.
  • Articulation and Expression - Slide and bend with the pitch wheel or aftertouch. Add vibrato with the modulation wheel. Natural hammer-ons and pull-offs when playing leads.

Guitar Craftmanship

Have you ever had the chance to create your own guitar? Strum GS-2 allows you to do just that by controlling every aspect in the making of your instrument.

  • Picks and Fingers - Hand picking or playing a heavy riff? Use a pick that is rounded or sharp, stiff or soft. Dig into the strings or use a light touch, play near the bridge or towards the neck for an evolving tone.
  • String by String - Select material and natural decay for each string. Precise control of coupling and interactions at the bridge breath life into your tone with beating and organic envelopes.
  • Pickups - Whether they are single coils or humbuckers, pickups are a fundamental part of the electric guitar sound. They shape the whole instrument’s response and their multiple configurations give tremendous tone flexibility.
  • Body Shopping - The soundboard of a guitar radiates vibrations from the strings. Choose a body size to colour the sound with specific resonances and find the right character.
  • Mutes and Scratches - As on a real guitar, strings interact with the player's hands and frets. Fine tune your rhythm parts and riffs with palm muting, scratches, and hammer-ons.

Bare Naked - All Suited Up

You’ll love the pure raw sound of Strum GS-2, but the built-in effects will bring it to so many places that you’ll enjoy having them on hand. And you have a chock-full of them to choose from: compressor, equalizer, delay, distortion, phaser, chorus, flanger, wah-wah and notch filters, and reverb.

The community has good things to say about Strum…

Description

The XILS 3 Version 2.0

The Incredible Matrix Modular Analog Synthesizer

The XILS 3 V2.0 not only emulates the Synthi (VCS 3) modular synthesizer, it also adds an emulation of the 256 Analog Sequencer, the natural companion of the VCS 3.

Is that all? No, of course, we added a SECOND Matrix, with 2 additional envelopes, one LFO, a detailed Sample and Hold module, and a Voltage processor…

And some input modules: Gate, Transient, Envelope Follower and Pitch Tracker to transform the XILS 3 into an advanced Effect Processors!

This means hundreds of additional connections. Add to the pile the analog chorus with its three modes, the analog delay and the phaser... the picture emerges.

In the XILS 3, you can connect everything with everything, and you get more than 800 possible different connections per patch (‘Only’ 583 simultaneous connections possible).

Did we say at Audio Rate ?

An endless source of inspiration for those who want to go deep into the heart of Analog Modular Synthesis.
It’s nearly impossible to summarize what the XILS 3 can do, but, in short, here’s the list of the main modules:

  • 6 Oscillators grouped in 3 pairs, with WaveShaping (on sine wave, saw, triangle and square)
  • 1 Noise Oscillator ( With Noise color )
  • 1 Analog Filter, Non Linear and zero delay Behaviors, with 3 Modes (12/18/24 dB LowPass)
  • 3 Trapezoidal Envelope Generators, Looping EG in the time of analog (Switchable to ADSR )
  • 2 Polyphonic LFOs ( including 1 Oscillator acting as LFO at audiorate )
  • Polyphonic Ring Modulator
  • 2 independent outputs feeding the Stereo Bus, each with one analog Lp/Hp filter
  • Programmable Joystick Vector Controller ( up to 32+32 modulation targets )
  • Polyphonic Sequencer with 3 independent lines, Slew rates, 3 recording modes.
  • Sequencer can behave as modulation source.
  • Pitch Tracker, Envelope Follower, Transient, Gate, Sample & Hold Modules
  • Chorus, Delay, Spring Reverb
  • 6 Play modes (including Unison 2/4/6 ), Polyphonic and mono Portamento/Glissando/Legato,  2 different Keyboard Scaling, Polyphonic Aftertouch and VCA handling.
  • Hundreds of presets made by worldwide famous Sound Designers
  • Preset Database Engine ( Find the right patch in a flash, create your own tags )
  • Comprehensive manual with a getting started and tutorial sections
  • Instrument or Effect plug-in

1969 : The PIN MATRIX REVOLUTION (No More Cables Anywhere)

In a modular synthesizer, you can connect any module to another one. Peter Zinovieff, the visionary synth Wizard, established with the EMS series a new way to connect modules : The Pin Matrix. Just plug a pin in the Matrix, and the connection is set.

Advantages of these techniques were obvious, breathtaking : More inputs and outputs for each module. No more cables cluttering the synth panel. Easy to operate, easy to read, and to visualize, and build, your patch . No more roadies : The analog modular synthesizer suddenly became portable

The XILS 3 offers the same advantages, and even brings a lot more on the table. Let’s now see the different modules.

Matrix Synthesizer

The core of the synthesis is based on the original audio modules:

  • Six oscillators grouped in Three pairs
  • One Low pass filter with 12, 18 and 24 db slope
  • One spring reverb
  • One Trapezoidal looping envelop
  • One Polyphonic Ring Modulator
  • One Noise generator
  • Two output static filters

Oscillators: Beyond the digital limitation, in a true analog emulation, as in all XILS-lab instruments, the freedom of the sound which one has in mind when listening to hardware analog synthesizers, the analog spirit  have been preserved.

XILS 3 oscillators were modeled to reproduce as close as possible the original waveforms.

The following figures compare the different waveforms of the original AKS model and those of the XILS 3.

As you can see, the raising front is sharp, but as the signal reaches its maximum, it becomes slower. This gives XILS 3 Oscillators an unique analog sound and character : soft and warm, yet very rich in harmonics.

No synthesis can be done without a good filter : the XILS 3 multimode filter was modeled to reproduce the analog character of the old machine.

The 18 and 24 db low-pass types can self-oscillate, and internal non linearities have been finely reproduced: It is faithful to the "zero-delay" behavior of real life to give you a big smile when sweeping it.

The PIN MATRIXES: As we saw, modules have to be connected through patch areas called Pin Matrixes.

The XILS 3 offers no less than 5 Pin Matrixes: 256+225 points dedicated to the main audio synthesis, one for the trig connections, and another pair for the sequencer connections (one for the modulation and one for the trig connections) Experts will spot at once that, in the extended Matrix, you can freely define some sources and destinations in the last two rows of lines and columns, like S&H, or even Envelope Segments.

And, yes, that means even more fun, and ultimate tweaking possibilities!

The Extended Modules (Augmented Matrixity)

To increase the sound design possibilities, we have added 5 other modules, intended to be connected via the Extended Matrix (225 new possible connections)

  • Two additional envelopes (Trapezoidal or ADSR)
  • One Tempo syncable LFO
  • One Tempo syncable Sample and Hold
  • One voltage processor (with a delay feature)

The Polyphonic Sequencer

The Sequencer has been inspired by the EMS 256 sequencer, a 3 layers/2 tracks powerful device with some unique features, like 3 independent slew rate knobs.

Here again a few things were added, like Sequencer Lines acting as Modulations Sources in a special Matrix. Interactions that you cannot reproduce in even the most sophisticated DAW.

  • 6 independent Sequencer lines.
  • 3 Record modes (Live, Step, Edit)

Vector Synthesis

The Pin Matrix and looping analog envelopes weren’t the only innovative features of the EMS series. Vector Synthesis should definitely be added to the list. The Joystick, with its numerous inputs and outputs, should be regarded as a giant step toward Vector Synthesis, and what is now known as Macro controllers.

With the XILS 3 Joystick, you can not only make fascinating real time controlled evolutive sequences or performances, but also find a lot of interested variations patches nested in a single patch. The XILS 3 V 2.0 factory library has been completely rewritten to benefit of the Joystick and other real time controllers.

The Effects

The XILS 3 provides three warn and wick sounding audio effects:

  • 3 Modes Chorus
  • A Delay (Tempo Syncable)
  • A Phaser (with enhanced analog behavior)

Using the XILS 3 as an effect Processor

The XILS 3 can also be used as a terrific effect processor. The plug-in inputs can be used directly, feeding the filters, or as audio rate modulation sources..... endless possibilities.

To increase a little bit the fun, we added this time 4  input audio process, making XILS 3 a fantastic mangling machine!

  • Transient Follower (which generates trigs or envelops)
  • Envelope Follower
  • Featured Gate
  • Pitch Tracker

Synclavier V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

Digital Dream Machine

The Synclavier V faithfully recreates the elite digital synthesizer/workstation that started it all, powering some of the biggest hits and film soundtracks of the early ‘80s with its unique rich, edgy sounds.

If you were to ask anyone back in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s to name the Holy Grail of synthesizers, the most revered of them all was New England Digital’s Synclavier. Its unique combination of additive synthesis and frequency modulation delivered a creative edge to the privileged few keyboardists, producers, film composers and sound designers who could afford systems that ranged from $13k to $400k.

Some of those rock-solid systems are still in use today. Arturia has recreated this highly revered hit maker in partnership with original programmer Cameron Jones, delivering the immense rich textures and creative palette of this vintage instrument, while dramatically improving it to let you blaze new musical trails today with sounds never heard before.

Sounds You Will Only Find Here

There’s simply nothing else like the powerhouse sound of the Synclavier V. No synth arsenal is complete without it.
There’s no hint of analog or samples here—this is the sound of unabashed digital synthesis in all its glory. While it can certainly create unique mellow tones, this vintage flagship is more known for its distinctive digital character ranging from edgy to eardrum-ripping brash to intergalactic. It’s especially ideal for extended pads and slow cinematic, ambient soundscapes. Plus, we’ve invested in significant updates that make the Synclavier V a thoroughly modern instrument with sounds that set it—and you—completely apart.

Hundreds of presets from the world’s top sound designers tame the unparalleled power of the Synclavier V and place it at all your fingertips for instant inspiration and easy customization.

A Programmer’s Dream

While you’ll get tons of love from Synclavier V’s presets alone, there’s a universe of sonic adventures waiting just beneath the surface whenever you’re ready.
The unique sound of the Synclavier V comes from its blend of additive and FM synthesis, with control over 24 additive harmonics on both the carrier and modulation oscillators. Where the original instrument let you mix four uniquely programmed Partials Timbres in a Timbre preset, Arturia’s recreation has twelve, boosting your creative possibilities exponentially. The Time Slice engine allows complex evolutions of the sound over time—even several minutes if you want.

Programming the Synclavier V is a study in elegance. Three different interface views let you choose the depth of control that best suits your needs.

The Synclavier V lets you realize the dream of an entire stunning synth orchestra with just one plugin.

Welcome to an Exclusive Club

35 years ago, most musicians never had the chance to even touch, let alone use, the most coveted instrument of the day. Now with Synclavier V, that’s history.
Now you can enjoy the same creative advantage as did Michael Jackson, Tangerine Dream, Sting, Frank Zappa, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and other iconic acts. You’ll still have an exclusive instrument—you won’t find a recreation anywhere else, let alone one faithfully co-created and enhanced by the original programmer.

Round out your collection with this rare digital luxury instrument once only found in universities, laboratories and elite studios.

Description

PoiZone is a subtractive software synthesizer designed to bring you professional quality results, without a learning curve that hinders your creativity.

The concept behind PoiZone was to design a synthesizer that had the smallest number of controls while providing the maximum flexibility and features.

Useless knobs were ruthlessly removed so what remains is a UI where every knob counts. Once you have spent some time auditioning the preset patches we are sure you will agree that PoiZone packs a lot of punch in what appears to be a simple package, enjoy!

Features

  • 2 oscillators that can produce the two most popular and useful shapes for subtractive synthesis: fat, bright SAW and PULSE shapes, with adjustable pulse width.
  • Noise generator.
  • Ring modulation.
  • Sync modulation.
  • 16 voice polyphony.
  • 4 voice UNISON with user-adjustable stereo panning and 'Octaver'. The Octaver expands the harmonic range and flexibility of the unison sound to support the creation of realistic 'vox-like' effects.
  • 2 ADSR envelope generators. One for traditional envelope duties, the other can be user assigned.
  • 3 FILTER modes - low pass, band pass and high pass. PoiZone features a warm, super-trooper-extra-analog-moog-like-mega filter with self oscillation. Special attention has been given to precise filter tuning so that when KEYTRK is set to maximum, the PoiZone filter will track keyboard frequency precisely so it can be used as an oscillator.
  • The PoiZone filter has bright and clean sound or it can be 'grungy' and 'angry' when resonance is introduced as it features some light distortion. And even with distortion the filter sounds clean on high frequencies as it has no aliasing.
  • Keyboard and Velocity tracking for the filter.
  • Multi-mode Arpeggiator.
  • Noise Gate with an adjustable 16 step pattern. The gate features smoothness control and the ability to import/export patterns to .fxp files.
  • DELAY effect, with tempo-synced click-free stereo delays and delay time modulation. Lo-cut and hi-cut for trancers!
  • CHORUS with a warm sound with great unison emulation.
  • MIDI learn feature with the ability to save/load MIDI setups to/from a patch.
  • LFO and MOD WHEEL modulation. Can be assigned to a wide range of performance parameters in PoiZone.

Sawer

Synth by Image Line

Images

Description

Sawer is a vintage modelling synthesizer, that cuts through the mix to deliver precisely articulated and punchy sounds.

Meticulous designed Filters and Envelopes

Sawer pays homage to the envelopes and filters of a rare 1980's Soviet analog synthesizer, Polivoks.

Maxx has devoted meticulous attention to the detail of Sawer's filter and envelope designs, ensuring Sawer delivers a unique sonic character reminiscent of the Polivoks hardware. But Polivoks, like all analog synthesizers, wasn't without its problems. Keeping the oscillators stable and in tune has been likened to 'moving a pile of live frogs, by wheelbarrow', impossible!

As Sawer is algorithmic, this solves the problems of tuning and stability, however, in the same way electrical component instability makes analog gear unique (if not cranky), Sawer benefits from the 21st century equivalent, a coding error.

While programming the SAW oscillator, Maxx accidentally set some incorrect variables and immediately the sound gained bass, acquired some light but pleasing noise on the attack and an overall richer sonic spectra. Maxx realized this was no mistake but a discovery and built on this, adding some frequency modulation to give it a touch of analog authenticity and so 'Sawer' was born.

Features

  • Main oscillator for subtractive synthesis: SAW shape with Sync frequency.
  • Sub oscillator (-2 to +2 octaves) with level, phase & detune controls.
  • 1 NOISE Oscillator.
  • Variable polyphony (1 to 24 voices).
  • 8 voice UNISON with user-adjustable stereo panning, detune and 'Octaver'.
  • SYNC & RING frequency modulation.
  • 2 ADSR envelope generators (one user-assignable to modulation parameters).
  • 4 FILTER modes - low pass (24 & 12 dB/Oct), band pass and high pass.
  • Chorus, Phaser, Delay & Reverb effects
  • Muti-mode Arpeggiator.

Toxic Biohazard

Synth by Image Line

Images

Description

Toxic Biohazard is the 4th generation in the line of Toxic synthesizers. Toxic Biohazard distills the best features from the previous 3 versions to deliver our most concentrated Toxic ever. Beware!

Toxic Biohazard features a hybrid synthesis engine, combining the best of FM and Subtractive synthesis. With the addition of a warm, analog-modelled filter and set of built-in effects, the Toxic concept remains one of convenience, simplicity, and superb sound quality.

The FM Technology

One of the ‘warmest’, crisp, and clear Frequency Modulation engines in the world, owes its sound to the precise calculation of the digital signal. Due to high-resolution DSP processing, it produces sound with an extremely low noise threshold; something that most FM engines cannot offer. The Toxic Biohazard sound was built from the ground up, via our own unique mathematical calculations and analog-modelling techniques.

The Oscillators

Completely alias-free, and well tuned for all sampling rates, they produce a rich, "fat" sound all across the spectrum. Due to the high quality of the anti-aliasing process, users will not encounter the shredding noise on high frequencies that has plagued FM synthesis in the past. Furthermore, the oscillators are calculated at extremely high speeds, keeping your CPU usage to a minimum. Toxic’s low CPU consumption affords the user plenty of room for external processing and running multiple instances. The oscillators also come equipped with Maxx Claster’s own powerful spectrum analysis technology. This allows the user to create his or her own waveforms, via the simple process of loading a WAV or AIFF format sound file. All of these features make the oscillators very flexible, and allow for the use of both synthetic and acoustic waveforms within Toxic. Each oscillator also comes with 32 built in ‘classic’ waveforms, each shown to be the most useful in FM synthesis.

The Effects

Made to assure high quality and flexibility is built into the synthesizer its self, Toxic Biohazard aims to reduce the need for external processing altogether! The effect modules are designed to give the user access to several types of effects, from aggressive, tube-like distortion, to warm stereo delay, reverb, flanger, and phaser effects. With our own pro-quality tape delay emulation, based on non-fixed delay buffer sizes, instead of the usual methods incorporated within digital delays, our delay lines give you warm sound, with “true” feedback and modulation. Lastly, the signal chain features an analog-modelled, parametric equalizer to further shape your sound. The EQ provides access to crisp, clear high-end definition, creamy mid ranges and earth-shaking low-end frequencies. The Toxic Biohazard effect modules expands its palette of sound to include everything from dark, atmospheric textures to razor sharp leads, fit to slice easily through any mix.

The Filter

Maxx Claster's own analog-modelled, multimode filter is reminiscent of a certain silver box of old. Garnishing a warm, resonant Low-Pass mode, a smooth Band-Pass setting, and a creamy High-Pass mode, Toxic Biohazard gives a wealth of control over tone. The filter is further enhanced by modulation via a dedicated envelope generator and low frequency oscillator, as well as responding to velocity information and keyboard tracking. These features allow for extreme sound shaping, as well as subtle nuances attributed to dynamic playing.

The Sequencer

Powerful, yet simple, the sequencer offers a total of 64 steps, which can be divided into two independent, 32 step modules to allow double-polyphonic patterns. Using our own "Smart Sequencer" technology, when a chord is played, the module defines that chord, and tunes the pattern accordingly. The sequencer also allows for pure playback of the programmed sequence from single notes. Simply holding one chord can virtually create an arrangement for you!

Features

  • Optimized engine. Improved the sound quality, with even more accurate waveshapes, and quicker rendering times.
  • "Physical" envelopes (amplitude and filter) physical modelling of how sounds in real world decay & resonate, for example, the sound of a water drop. Further, physical envelopes are rendered real-time without any interpolation, avoiding noise artifacts and allowing Toxic Bio to deliver fast, accurate envelope times.
  • Pack of new effects: phaser, reverb, ...

Model 72 Synthesizer System

Synth by Softube

Images

Description

The Monophonic Legend, Perfected.

  • Based on a classic analogue monophonic synth from the early '70s, with the emphasis on sound quality.
  • A component-modelled marvel that’s true to its era with actual use cases and tricks correctly replicated in the software to take you to funkytown.
  • An entire system that includes a model of the original instrument, an FX version, an Amp Room module, and seven Modular modules.

Imagine traveling in time to the early '70s, an era where new and experimental sounds were shaping pop music and taking it a step further. Softube’s Model 72 Synthesizer System is your vintage synth time machine. It’s component modelled down to the smallest details from a 1972 hardware unit in pristine condition with all the quirks and non-linearities intact, hence the name Model 72.

The result is incredibly authentic sound, with all the warmth and smoothness heard in countless records. Now imagine this classic has traveled into the future to pick up some contemporary features, like doubling and stereo spread, and evolve into a full system with multiple versions for different applications. Wish you were here? Take the Autobahn.

Designed by Experts, Built on Legacy

Softube has a long history of modelling professional gear. After nearly two decades working in collaboration with premium pro audio brands like Tube-Tech, Solid State Logic, Chandler Limited®, Weiss Engineering, and Trident, Softube have a solid track record recreating indisputable classics in software form that sound precisely like their hardware counterparts. This includes expertise in synthesizer plug-ins like Modular, Statement Lead, and Monoment Bass.

Sound Quality: Softube's First Priority

The Model 72 Synthesizer System's plug-ins and modules are in a class of their own compared with similar software when it comes to sound quality.

Just Like the Original Hardware

Model 72 was created with the same meticulous and accurate component modelling process you’ve come to expect from Softube’s mixing and mastering plug-ins.

Vintage Sound in Different Applications

It has the perfect vintage mojo and includes four versions that can be used in many different applications – as an instrument, as effects, in Modular, and in Amp Room.

A Revolutionary Monophonic Synth

Model 72 is based on a fully modelled vintage monophonic synthesizer that has been a true legend in music instrument history since its introduction in 1970. Affordable, easy to use, and small enough to carry around to studios and gigs, it was the first synthesizer designed for and accessible to musicians and became the archetype for all synthesizers that followed. The sounds it produces can be warm, lush, and luxurious or fat, distorted, and gnarly but not at all ear-piercing.

Modelled from a Pristine Hardware Unit From 1972

The software components of Model 72 were measured and matched down to the smallest details from the original hardware, keeping all of its quirks and non-linearities intact. For example, one trick that's commonly used on the hardware version is connecting a cable from the high-gain output to the external input of the unit to create a roaring, raw, and exciting feedback tone heard on countless records. Obviously, Softube had to add this feature to the Model 72 Instrument plug-in.

A Classic Synth with Modern Features

Softube updated this legendary synth with some new features, too. An expansion panel lets you tweak some of the finer details of the oscillator behavior as well as some performance aspects of the synth. The doubling feature adds the effect of having the notes that are played doubled by another Model 72, and the spread feature sets how much this doubling will spread out in the stereo field. These improvements allow you to do even more than you could with the original hardware.

The User Interface

Tone Generation & Mixer

The tone generator is the heart of Model 72. This section consists of 3 oscillators, with the top two identical in terms of output waveforms and features and linked to the incoming note information. The third oscillator can be unlinked from the incoming note information and used as a free-running modulation oscillator with extended tuning range on the tune knob, and also features slightly different waveforms. The mixer section consists of 5 switches for turning on and off the different sound sources that mix into the filter and amp sections.

Envelopes & Filter

The combined signals from the mixer enter a voltage-controlled 4 pole low-pass filter with resonance control (feedback). The filter cutoff frequency can be controlled via the cutoff knob, but is also dynamically modified in real time by the dedicated envelope generators in this section and also the separate modulation section. The top envelope generator, with attack, decay, and sustain knobs, shapes the harmonic content of the sound and bottom the bottom one shapes the amplitude. Both envelope generators are started when you play a note and will go through their individual phases in the time set by the knobs.

The Modulation Section

The modulation section includes the master tune knob that sets the overall fine tuning of the Model 72, the note glide rate, and the modulation mix. You have the classic options of using either the oscillator 3 output or the noise, and Softube have also added a dedicated Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) that can be used as an optional modulation source. All modulation is routed through the modulation wheel that works as an attenuator to determine the amount of modulation distributed to the destination. Modulation in can be routed to oscillator pitch, filter cutoff frequency, or both.

The Output Section

The output section includes the master volume knob that controls overall output volume. Just below master volume knob is the A440 button, which is the tuning guide tone on and off. It turns on a 440 Hz (A4) sine oscillator for quick tuning. Below the A440 button, you find the doubling feature and the spread knob. Enabling doubling adds the effect of having the notes played doubled by another Model 72, and the spread knob sets the how much this doubling will spread out in the stereo field.

Model 72 Instrument

Use the instrument plug-in on instrument channels controlled via MIDI to create the original sounds this synth is known for. This includes the feedback loop trick, the famous trick of running a cable from the high output to the external input for more overdriven, distorted, and cool sounds. You can use a connected MIDI keyboard controller, or you can edit notes in your DAW to play it. Model 72 will respond to the full range of your keyboard and can also be configured to respond to velocity.

Model 72 FX

Using the synth as an effect by running an external sound source to the external audio input is a common use case heard on countless albums from the 1970s to today. Add the FX plug-in to your audio or mix track to replicate this external input feature and use the distortions and filter on your sound source. Route a MIDI channel to your effect and play a note in order to gate the sound processed through the effect.

Amp Room Ready

The Model 72 Amp Room module consists of the fat sounding filter from this legendary synthesizer complete with envelope follower, cutoff, resonance, and drive. There are two different envelope follower modes, fast and smooth. There's also a mix knob for blending the effect to fine-tune the sound. Create truly unique sounds for guitar, bass, and keyboards with a vintage vibe with this incredible envelope filter effect.

Modular Ready

All the Model 72 Instrument sections are available as individual modules for Softube Modular, ready to be added to your Eurorack system. It’s easy to combine single parts of the synthesizer in a modular workflow to build patches and get authentic vintage monophonic sounds.

The Modular Modules

Tone Generator

Includes all seven waveforms used in the plug-in. Use a mixer or gain module to get these oscillators to perform well with the other modules in Modular with correct gain-staging.

Amplifier

Amplifies and also distorts audio. The top CV jack is pre-patched to 7.5V and this voltage is scaled through the amp CV attenuator potentiometer. Additional CV need to be inserted for the amp to amplify/pass audio.

Filter

This classic fat lowpass filter self-oscillates when it goes past 8 and can track 1 V/octave fairly well when the 33% and 66% switches are both engaged. The level knob is dampening for the input.

Envelope

A gate above 0.66V in the gate jack activates the envelope. The decay knob also sets the release time when release switch is set to on. Release time is set to zero when the release switch is turned off.

Noise and Glide

A white/pink noise generator and a glide buffer. The white/pink noise output is based on performance of the original circuitry. The glide buffer is mainly designed for slewing control voltages but can be used to slew anything.

Doubling

Essentially the same effect as the Model 72 plug-in, but here it can be set gradually with the doubling knob and then the spread knob will expand the effect in stereo.

Preamp

The preamp for external audio gives a very nice distortion when pushed.

Harmor

Synth by Image Line

Description

Note - This software is Windows compatible only and will not function on Mac computers!

Introducing a powerful additive / subtractive synthesizer, image synthesizer as well as audio resynthesizer, Harmor.

Additive / Subtractive..

Just like its little brother Harmless, Harmor is driven by a powerful additive synthesis engine. Its modules will look familiar to subtractive synthesizer enthusiasts: oscillators, filters & phasers, these are featured in Harmor but, because performed through additive synthesis, offer more freedom. You don't just select filter types, you draw them.

You wanted more, so also featured is the multipoint envelope editor of Sytrus fame, applied to over 40 parameters, in 2 independent parts. Through the same envelope/mappings, randomize any parameter or link it to key or velocity, and even fine-tune each unison voice independently.Processing units can be rearranged in a semi-modular way. If you need one of the 2 filter units processed after the blur unit, that's no problem.

Image Synthesis...

Because it typically requires manipulating large amounts (up to 500 per voice) of partials over time, additive synthesis is hard to handle. No human can (or even wants to) edit 500 envelopes, but editing 2D images, that we can do easily. Get access to gain & pitch planes which you can tweak in the image editor of your choice, and import any bitmap, even if it wasn't designed to be turned into audio, it might still sound interesting.

Audio Resynthesis...

Being an additive synthesizer, Harmor can resynthesize audio files as well. The reproduction will be faithful, not a vague sound-alike as in many additive synthesizers. Resynthesis can of course be tweaked, providing time stretching, pitch shifting, or less conventional manipulations of partials. And of course, the result of the analysis can still be turned into an image for further editing.

Efficient...

Additive synthesis is generally very CPU-consuming, but not Harmor's engine. Its efficency is in fact, comparable to that of subtractive synthesizers. Voices may be generating hundreds of harmonics in parallel and still not overload the CPU. Processing being multi-threaded, extra CPU cores come in handy.

Pixels!

Resynthesis or image-synthesis, Harmor features both. Import a piece of audio and time-stretch or pitch-shift it (with formant and transient preservation). Convert this to an image and edit each partial individually!

Two Parts...

Two independent parts (or “layers”) for even more complex sounds. Parts can be imported from other presets.

SFX...

In the effects section you will meet all the usual suspects: distortion, chorus, delay and reverb, as well as the mighty Soundgoodizer based on the Maximus engine. Just like processing units, effect slots can be re-ordered. Each part has its own effect mix amount.

Looks Pretty...

If you don't understand it, visualize what it's doing, best way to learn! Watch how each partial evolves in the built-in spectrogram, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Farfisa V

Synth by Arturia

Images

Description

Farfisa V: Combo Organ Coolness

Farfisa V physically models the unique characteristics of the Farfisa combo organs that helped define the Top 40 sounds of the ‘60s—complete with enhancements that help you forge new sonic territory today.

Arturia’s innovative physical modeling faithfully recreates every nuance of the Farfisa Compact Deluxe and Duo combo organs found on numerous hits. Enhancements bring you a one-of-a-kind instrument combining the freedom of synthesizers with the unique tone of organs for unprecedented creative potential. An array of included effects pedals gives you all the tools to make the sound your own. Bell-bottoms optional.

The Sound of the ‘60s, the Sound of Today

The Farfisa V Brings you Sounds that Will Never Get Old.

Imagine the fun you can have with the classic Farfisa combo organ sounds behind ‘60s chart toppers like Strawberry Alarm Clock’s “Incense and Peppermints” and The Grass Roots “Midnight Confessions”. Those eternally happy bubblegum sounds made a comeback in the ‘80s in the hands of Blondie, Talking Heads and others, and are still cruising today in retro pop, rock and reggae. The Farfisa V is super simple to use and 147 presets from top sound designers assure that you’ll get right down to rockin’ out.

If you’re an organist, you’ll love playing this gem. If you’re a producer, you’ll appreciate having the unique ear candy of the Farfisa V in your vintage collection. And if you played a combo organ back in the day, prepare to groove on waves of nostalgia courtesy of an old friend.

Infuse your music with the cheerful essence of surf and sunshine. Groovy, baby!

Faithfully Yours

Like all Arturia vintage instrument homages, the Farfisa V is completely true to the original.

That’s because rather than sampling, we use our proprietary physical modeling technology to recreate in software the exact sonic characteristics of the original under all circumstances. Press any button and it responds just like the hardware. It even looks like the original. If you ever wanted a Farfisa, this is a Farfisa.

Playing the Farfisa V is just like having the real thing —except this one doesn’t have cigarette burns on the keys and will never break.

More Than Just an Organ

The Farfisa V is What Would Happen if an Organ and a Synthesizer had a Love Child.

The original Farfisa already hinted at the synthesizers to come with features like key repeat and a rudimentary envelope. The split keyboard option let you assign either one or two of the lower octaves to a separate bass sound. There was also a cool knee lever that manually controlled a filter, like an early version of a wah. (Of course, you can map that to the controller of your choice on the Farfisa V.) We’ve taken our modern version way beyond all that, though.

Pop the hood of the Farfisa V and you get tons of extra creative options like the ability to design your own additive waveforms, select new waves for the bass section, set offset filters, customize the envelopes to shape your tone, and more. On the floor, you’ll find a vintage amp and a collection of old-school stomp boxes already plugged in and ready to party —and the settings for the whole rig are saved in your presets.

The Farfisa V goes further than any traditional electronic organ, giving you options to infuse your music with new sounds that make people sit up and pay attention.

Description

Taking the classic analogue sound of the legendary silver box into the future

Phoscyon offers an unmatched sound together with advanced features such as a state of the art Distortion unit; fully user-configurable BPM synced Arpeggiator and Randomizer; a unique 'Play Live' mode; vintage arrangement and pattern builder, full MIDI CC support and, to top it off, the most authentic 18db/oct low pass filter ever created!

Diehard fans of the original Bass Line will be blown away with Phoscyon’s uncanny emulation of the classic, but will also marvel at the ease with which new sounds can be crafted; sounds that were not possible on the original. Phoscyon gives you access to authentic vintage sounds at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. With the familiar Bass Line interface coupled with the added sound generation tools, D16 Group feels that Phoscyon is quite simply in a class of its own.

Capabilities

Phoscyon is a vintage analogue modelled Bassline synthesizer with a unique low pass filter with an 18db/oct dumping and constant resonance amplitude throughout the entire frequency domain. The filter sounds phenomenal! Hear that squelch and you’ll swear it's analogue! D16 have also equipped it with a fully customizable integrated arpeggiator (essential in electronic music) as well as an exhaustively analogue modelled distortion effect, crucial for those screaming acid basslines!

The Riser

Synth by AIR Music Technology

Images

Description

Stops Hearts. Tops Charts.

The Riser is an all-new instrument for designing musical transitions of epic proportions. A powerful, synth-based instrument, The Riser features all of the tools you need to compose heart-stopping transitions in one intuitive user-interface. In seconds, you can construct rises, falls, swells, fades, and more, based on our coveted sound synthesis technology. For instant inspiration, The Riser includes 300 pro-grade presets that you can edit, deconstruct, copy, mangle, and implement into your tracks.

Transitions add suspense, hype, drama, and movement to your music. Cymbal swells and reversed instruments were go-to transitions for years, until the DAW pioneered fast and flexible audio editing, paving the way for complex sound effects. When combined with synths and other audio shaping tools, transitions completed their metamorphosis from science to art. Until now, this process has convoluted and time-intensive, taking attention away from the overall project itself. The composer spent more time trying to get plugins, virtual sample players, hardware effects, sound modules, and other gear to play nice with each other – and that was before hitting “record”.

A 3-for-All

Featuring the most powerful and musical virtual synthesis available, The Riser can be used to create classic transitions or effects never-before-heard by human ears. The core of The Riser’s mojo are three continuously variable oscillators; sweep, noise and chord. Each oscillator features a dedicated Filter send and graphical parameter depiction.

Sweep – featuring volume, frequency and oscillator shape – dictates the direction and progression of the transition. Create rises, falls, stops, and swells with audible and visible feedback.

Providing volume, shape, and pitch controls, the Noise oscillator infuses texture into your transition. Start shaping to add grit, bite, hiss, punch, and more to the effect.

The Riser’s Chord oscillator introduces you to an uncharted creative continent. Use it to match The Riser’s sonic structure to your song’s key (or a contrasting one) and blend it to taste; it can be as musical as you want.

Three Low Frequency Oscillators (LFOs) provide additional modulation to your transition. A tempo-sync’d LFO works in harmony with the native song tempo in your DAW to increase the transition’s complexity. The second LFO is free-running, meaning it has not ties to the native tempo. Third, the Pumper effect modulates the synthesis with dynamics control in tandem with track tempo. This pulsating effect adds punch and movement to the transition, and features various time divisions and depth controls for adapting to or accentuating your track.

For those looking for turn-key transitions, our team of sound designers have constructed 300 fully editable presets across various types, bringing modern, useable transitions to your project.

Wide Compatibility

The Riser offers unequalled flexibility with your current production/composition setup. Available for Mac or PC and in AU, VST and AAX formats, it can operate as an instrument in nearly any DAW such as Logic Pro X, Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Sonar, Digital Performer, Reaper and more. It does not require specialty sample players or proprietary software in order to be used in your DAW project – simply call it up when you need it, and use it. Further, you can map your favorite keyboard or controller to the virtual knobs and faders within your The Riser or most DAWs, offering seamless operation with your composition style.

Get Effected

We put the essential effects for transition design into The Riser, for fast access to studio-grade audio manipulation heaven. A tempo-sync’d delay with time-division can slap or drench your transition with the subtlety of a feather – or sledgehammer. To add space to your patch, mix in one of 4 reverb types, all of which are completely adjustable to complement your track. To really grab the listener, we incorporated Panning and Width controls, letting you master stereo positioning and intimacy. The Filter section features over 20 types, ranging from low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, multi-pole/pass combos, band reject, and phase shift. When used in concert with The Riser’s LFOs and variable oscillators, you get standout results with signature flair.

Invert Your Thinking

Experimentation is the key to inspiration, and The Riser gives you a few additional tricks to unlock new sounds. A randomizer will randomly select values for the main parameters to give you that create spark. The Invert mode will reverse the transition, letting you hear it with the direction switched. Rises become falls, swells become fades, and more. Tap the Swap button and those inversions will override your current setup, making it easy to create complementary patches and save them as presets along the way.

Like You’ve Never Experienced Before

We understand the science behind the suspense and emotion that a great transition delivers. Until now, recreating the transition in your head has been a convoluted, manual process. The Riser puts intuitive sound-shaping tools right where you need them so you can design effects that keep the listener on the edge of their seat.

LuSH-101

Synth by D16 Group

Images

Description

The Only Synthesizer You Need

LuSH-101 is a synthesizer created from modules that can be found in many modern virtual synthesizers, all combined into a single compact and logically intuitive design. However, this basic simplicity combined with its multilayer architecture turns it into an easy-to-use but extremely powerful instrument that can be programmed and tweaked quickly, almost effortlessly leveraging its maximum potential.

The multilayer architecture guarantees that both the sound design possibilities and the number of unique situations in which LuSH-101 can be used, are virtually limitless. Layered sounds can be created simply by assigning the layers to the same MIDI channel; the results can sound as massive as anything imaginable! Assigning the layers to different keyboard zones allows you to create even the most sophisticated splits. Of course, you can always assign the various layers to different MIDI channels for 8-part multitimbral usage. And, virtually any combination of splits, layers, and multitimbrality is possible with just a single instance of LuSH. With each layer working as an independent synthesizer with its own polyphony, parameters, enhanced arpeggiator, and a palette of only the finest insert effects, LuSH-101 can push your creativity to unprecedented levels!

Want to express yourself even more? In addition to a very sophisticated MIDI-learn implementation, an advanced modulation matrix is built into each layer. Even the Arpeggiator's MIDI output can be used as a modulation source, unleashing your creativity to build complex sequences and progressions.

LuSH also comes complete with a powerful built-in mixer, complete with layer-independent parametric equalizers and compressors. Three send effects in superb quality allow you to put the finishing touches on the final output.

LuSH plays perfectly in any genre. For funkier styles, the Gate may be used instead of the VCA for instant staccato sounds full of energy and rhythmic pep. When creating Ambient or Chillout, longer attack and release times along with the smooth, rich spaciousness of the built-in reverb are enough to satisfy even the most ardent purists. Is Dubstep or Drum & Bass more your thing? No problem! Filters modulated by the LFOs and envelopes in conjunction with Unison mode can lead to the sickest, nastiest, and most novel vibrations - your sound system won't know what hit it (and you won't, either), so watch out! No matter what you want to play or how you want to use it, LuSH will get the job done.

Sound Like Never Before

LuSH-101’s uniquely accurate sound has been achieved only through experience: countless hours have been spent analyzing classic analogue synthesizers, and then designing and implementing DSP algorithms with close attention paid to every component in the signal path - not just the approximating the overall output. D16 deliver to you a synthesizer built on oscillators of uncompromising quality, filters with incredible natural warmth and character, and effects each at the absolute top of their class.

Innovative oscillator algorithms developed by D16 make LuSH-101 sound exactly like a sampled hardware analogue synth - but without the sampling! There is no aliasing in the oscillators, even at 22kHz from the note’s base frequency. Vibrato and pitch bend do not affect the spectral quality of the oscillators, allowing LuSH-101 to sound completely authentic under all conditions.

A problem present in many virtual analogue synths is that the harmonics of generated sound waves start to disappear well below (and up to) the Nyquist frequency, causing them to sound dull and lacking in clarity and punch. LuSH-101 was designed from the ground up to avoid this, resulting in a very rich and clear sound, even from the simplest waveforms!

Resonance is constant across the entire frequency domain, which makes the filter sound totally authentic, especially when controlled via the envelopes or an LFO. Turning resonance to maximum and turning all the oscillators down will produce a pure and pleasant sine wave as the filter is driven into self-oscillation, exactly as with true analogue gear. Of course, keyboard tracking can also be applied to the filter for a smooth, adjustable cutoff gradient across the keyboard range.

Superb In Any Setting

LuSH-101 lets you create presets for single layer, for all 8 layers at once (including the mixer settings), but also allows the creation of presets for smaller blocks of parameters such as the arpeggiator and the mixer’s send effects. LuSH-101 delivers undeniably impressive results in virtually every sonic category. A generous factory library of more than 1700 presets of every type is included. Whether the presets themselves fit perfectly in your arrangements as is, or serve only as starting points for you own mad creations, you'll find ample ammo here to express your unique musical vision and derive inspiration for many years to come.

A carefully prepared, categorized and hierarchically arranged bank always let you find exactly what you're looking for -  from massive basses to complex sequences, to the toughest-sounding synthetic percussion you've ever heard, you'll find it all here. Huge, inspiring arpeggiator performances of unusual sophistication and scope will draw you in instantly from the first keypress. Plus, most of the factory presets make extensive use of the Modulation Matrix to make the sounds that much more expressive and flavorful; LuSH-101 was designed to be a musical instrument first and foremost, and therefore the factory presets were designed with playability and personality in mind.

To top it all off, an intuitively designed preset browser keeps everything organized and easy to locate, even when dealing with something as huge as the included library. In order to ensure that exchanging them remains as straightforward as possible, presets are managed in a file-based manner, rather than in some proprietary, esoteric format that makes backing up and sharing a pain. Your sounds are yours to do with as you please, and LuSH makes it incredibly easy!

Presets in LuSH-101 were made by team of the best sound designers from around the world, guaranteeing a huge diversity of character and style; from Dubstep to Drum & Bass; from Trance, to Techno, to House, to Complextro; from the established to the cutting-edge, you'll find it all here - and none of it static or sterile, but alive, full of personality, and eminently tweakable!

Gigging musicians will appreciate Lounge Lizard's small memory footprint, instant preset recalls, and stability. Furthermore, the huge library of classic electric piano sounds as well as the complete selection of effects makes it easy to build a set list and get the perfect tone for each song.

Alive Beneath Your Fingers

There is something quite immersive when a connection develops between the player and the instrument. Whether it's the perfectly smooth velocity progression or the interactive reaction to your performance, Lounge Lizard makes that connection happen.

Beyond the Electric Piano

Lounge Lizard achieves convincing electric piano tones with less than twenty synth parameters. That's a quite a feat by itself, but pushed further, these parameters reveal a realm of other tones. Organs, bells, chimes, leads are all featured in the preset library's Experimental folder.

Custom Tones

Even though famous players shared the same brand and models, they were all achieving their own signature sound. Nevertheless, that usually meant spending many hours under the hood with screwdrivers, wrenches, or even a solder iron. What's fun with Lounge Lizard is that whether you're looking to emulate a particular sound or simply find your own, all those tweaks are just a few knob turns away!

  • NEW Factory Library - The completely renewed factory library features the classic electric piano sounds as well as over 200 gig- and mix-ready custom electric pianos making good use of the compressor, equalizer, and multi-effect processor.
  • NEW Compressor and Equalizer - These new additions are perfect to add punch and definition to your sound, letting you cut through any dense mix or stage.
  • NEW Character Control - The new Character control provides five classic studio and stage signal path emulations – that's the cabinet, pre-amp, microphone, and recorder chain that follows the piano's output – to easily snug fit your electric piano part into your track.
  • NEW Limiter - The new output limiter protects your ears and monitors during experimentation with the piano's physical modelling parameters while providing a maximum of distortion-free dynamics.
  • NEW Streamlined Interface - Redesigned from the ground up, the new interface now divides Lounge Lizard EP-4 into three panels: Play presents shortcuts to the main piano and effect parameters including bypass switches for quick edits; Edit lets you get under the hood and voice the piano to taste; while FX supplies equalizer, compressor, multi-effect, and reverb processors for final shaping duties.
  • NEW Bank and Program Manager - Lounge Lizard EP-4's new manager allows for simple and efficient organization, backup, and sharing of your sounds.
  • UPDATED Overhauled Effects - Reinvigorated, polished, and tuned especially for the electric piano, Lounge Lizard EP-4's multi-effect processor features our best sounding chorus, delay, phaser, flanger, distortion, notch filter, wah-wah, auto-wah, and reverb to date!

Obscurium

Synth by Sugar Bytes

Description

Timbral Organism

Obscurium is a synthesis tool for sound and pitch. It feeds on your input of scales & chords to produce futuristic soundscapes and vivid harmonics.

Harmony and Sound

A Surprisingly Versatile Tool

Obscurium animates you to explore new paths to creation of music & sound design. Like a modular system, it allows for most complex circuits, yet remains easily accessible.

It will change your process of making music, to a fun and playful state of flow and you’ll come up with patch after patch of cool melodic and chordal passages that intiate new tracks. Never mind the possibilities of the VST synth integration!

If you are sound designing for films, adverts or games, if you are looking for a fresh short cut to your creative cloud, give it a go!

Sound Design Playground

Obscurium's Scope can only be Matched by very Large and Costly Modular Setups

The two sound generators are deceptively basic looking. Number 1 is an emulation of an analogue oscillator with a unison functionality. The second oscillator uses FM synthesis with a flexible ratio. Both can be routed through the effect section and you can mix and modulate them via the sequencer. Ask Audio's Quick Tip

The Super Obscure Mode automatically draws sequences in most various ways. The Modifiers paint all parameters at once: while setting individual steps you can define their sound. Step by step a different sound – this is the agenda here.

VST Interface

Resurrect your library of Long-Forgotten Plug-ins

You can host any of your sound generator plug-ins for fresh sounds. Obscurium sends trigger, pitch and 11 automation lanes. Take your plug-ins to new levels!

Setting this up couldn't be easier - pick any of the plug-in's presets, use a random mode to assign parameters or use the Learn function in Obscurium's hosting options.

Shift and Morph

The More you Play, the More you Discover

We implemented the unique possibility to rotate parameters and their motion lanes. Organic and complex sound changes just blossom around you with a tender touch of these faders. This feature can be modulated for endless evolving results.

Additionally, you can morph between two sequencer states (copy and paste between the two states is very useful!). That makes it possible to vary parts of a sequence while it repeats.

Obscure Clock

A Warp Drive to the new Dimension of Sequencing

The clock tab regulates the master speed, swing & direction. Combine its 2 mini sequencers for clock and direction with the main sequencer for finestcolourfull rhythm tapestry.

Sequencer steps can be assigned to MIDI notes, playback speed and direction might change at any time. A different sound for each note of a melody and tumbling rhythms, rolls and triplets, ready to be explored.

Sounds & Presets

An instrument with a mind-boggling scope...

  • Rummage around in these sounds...They give a pretty good idea of what Obscurium is capable of. Better yet: check out the demo - the modulated presets are a feast for ear and eye
  • The presets are a good inspiration and starting point for your own ideas. Obscurium invites you to experiment!

Features

  • Avantgarde Sound Design Tool
  • 8-voice Saw, Pulse, Supersaw and FM Synthesis
  • VST Interface can host & control plug-ins
  • Generative Harmonies or straight MIDI-Input

Description

Analog Just Got Warmer

Vacuum Pro is a polyphonic analog synthesizer with vacuum tube circuit modeling that perfectly captures the crunchy, warm sound of the analog era. With four analog oscillators, multiple filters and envelopes, and built-in audio effects, Vacuum Pro lets you dive deep into subtractive synthesis to recreate those sought-after analog sounds from the 70s and 80s. Tweak the switches, knobs, and dials to program anything from basses, leads, pads, or unique sound effects. For even more warmth, Vacuum Pro has six virtual vacuum tube circuits that add crunch and grit at every stage of the signal path. Analog just got a whole lot warmer.

Vintage Vibes

Vacuum Pro is a powerful combination of two separate synthesizer parts that can be stacked, split, and layered to produce big, wide, and fat analog sounds. Each Vacuum Pro part starts with two wide-range, vacuum tube oscillators that can be synched, detuned, and set to various octave levels. Plus, Quad Detune controls per oscillator make it easy to quickly dial in lush sounds. For an even bigger sound, the built-in Doubling effect instantly widens and thickens up your patch.

Shape your sound with two vacuum tube filters that include a traditional low-pass filter and a selectable high-pass/band-pass filter. Vacuum Pro also has four envelope generators, matrix-assignable modulation, and a tempo sync’d LFO. The mixer offers a drive circuit and a tone-warping ring modulator. For authentic analog behavior, the Age controls let you manipulate the drift of and add dust to your sounds.

Programming Powerhouse

Vacuum Pro comes complete with 350+ tweakable patches created by acclaimed sound designers Richard Devine and Mark Ovenden. You can load these patches separately into each Vacuum Pro part to combine and experiment with multi-timbral sounds. For instant sound inspiration, Vacuum Pro features Smart Sound Randomization, which randomly generates new settings for either part or both. Define which modules you want to lock at their current settings, which will be randomized, and then let Smart Sound dial in a patch for you.

Global Control

Vacuum Pro’s Smart page condenses all the individual parameter controls into eight macro knobs that enable you to quickly shape the sound of your patch without extensive tweaking. Macro knobs such as Punch, Emphasis, and Complexity add an intuitive workflow for perfecting your programming. Switch back and forth between the micro and macro modes to quickly edit or create your own custom sounds.

Extra Effects

In addition to its authentic analog sound, Vacuum Pro includes a host of creative tools that are characteristic of classic analog synthesizers. An onboard arpeggiator, which can be tempo sync’d to your DAW, offers a quick way to build melodic runs and short sequences. A built-in chorus/phaser and delay effects give life and motion to your Vacuum Pro patches. Onscreen pitch bend and modulation wheels add extra expression to any performance, and all parameters are MIDI-mappable for performance ease and automated control.

SynthMaster 2

Synth by KV331 Audio

Images

Description

SynthMaster 2 is a two-layer 'all-around' semi-modular software synthesizer and effect plug-in that comes with 2000 factory presets right out of the box. It features many different synthesis methods including VA, Additive, Wavetable, Wavescanning, Phase Modulation, Frequency Modulation, Pulse Width Modulation, Ring Modulation, Amplitude Modulation, Physical Modeling and SFZ Sample Playback synthesis.

Features

  • Cross-Platform

  • SynthMaster 2 runs as a VST and AAX instrument on both Windows and macOS, and also as an Audio Unit instrument on macOS.

  • 2000 Factory Presets

  • SynthMaster 2 comes with 2000 factory presets from a world-class team of sound designers: Arksun, Aelyx Design, Aiyn Zahev, Bluffmunkey, BigTone, Frank 'Xenox' Neumann, Kevin Schroeder, Nori Ubukata, Rob Lee, Vandalism, Vorpal Sound, Gercek Dorman, Michael Kastrup, Umit Uy, Ufuk Kevser, Teoman Pasinlioglu & Brian 'Xenos' Lee.

  • Oscillators

  • Stereo Oscillators with Unison/Voice Stacking: Oscillators in SynthMaster 2 have stereo output. Using the "voices", "voices mix", "detune curve", "detune spread", "pan spread", "tone spread" and "phase spread" parameters, each basic/wavetable oscillator can generate a rich "supersaw" type sound.

  • Basic Oscillators

  • Basic oscillators in SynthMaster 2 are capable of synthesizing many different types of waveforms: Sine, Square, Triangle, Sawtooth, Pulse, Noise, single cycle waveforms and multi-sampled WAV/AIFFs defined in SFZ files. Each oscillator comes with 17 different algorithms in the following categories: Spectral (LP, HP, LS, HS, BP, BS), Bend (Bend+, Bend-, Bend+/-), Sync (Rect Window, Half Cos Window, Cos Window, Tri Window, Saw Window), Pulse (Pulse1, Pulse2) and Quantize.

  • Sine, Square, Triangle, Sawtooth, Pulse, Noise.
  • Single-cycle waveforms.
  • Multi sampled WAV/AIFFs defined in SFZ files.
  • Wavetable Oscillators

  • A 'Wavetable' oscillator is similar to a basic oscillator, except that the waveform can be scanned (interpolated) through up to 256 different waveforms shapes. The position of the waveform can be adjusted using the 'wave index' parameter. Starting with version 2.9, SynthMaster now supports loading wavetables from wave files!

  • Contains many wavetables
  • You can import your own wavetables by drag and drop
  • Additive and Vector Oscillators

  • An 'Additive' oscillator is actually 8 'basic' oscillators running together. Each 'basic' oscillator has its own detune, tone, phase/pulse width/algorithm parameter, frequency, waveform type and algorithm parameters.

  • A 'Vector' oscillator consists of 4 'basic' oscillators, mixed at different ratios. The mix ratios are determined by 2 orthogonal parameters in 2 dimensions: 'X Index' and 'Y index'.

  • Semi-Modular Architecture

  • For each SynthMaster instance, there are 2 layers followed by 2 global effect send busses. The modulators can modulate frequency, phase, amplitude or pulse width of the oscillators or any other modulators at audio rate, or they can be used as regular oscillators. Each layer has its own:

  • Arpeggiator
  • 2 Oscillators
  • 4 Modulators
  • 4 ADSR Envelopes
  • 2 Multistage Envelopes
  • 2 2D Envelopes
  • 4 Keyscalers
  • Massive Modulation Architecture

  • SynthMaster has more hundreds of modulation targets and 48 modulation sources including ADSR Envelopes, 2D Envelopes, Multistage Envelopes, LFOs, KeyScalers, Easy Parameters, Vocoder Bands, MIDI Velocity, Aftertouch, Pitch Bend and MIDI CC. The modulation matrix, which has 64 available slots, has visual filtering as well so that targets for a specific source or sources for a specific target can be filtered and shown on the user interface.

  • ADSR Envelopes
  • 2D Envelopes
  • Multistage Envelopes
  • KeyScalers
  • Vocoder Bands
  • MIDI Velocity
  • Aftertouch
  • Pitch Bend and MIDI CC
  • Zero Delay Feedback Filters: All of the 4 new filter categories in SynthMaster are developed using the zero delay feedback filter technology. With advanced filter parameters like input gain, drive and acid, you can get that "analog" sound from the filters!

  • VAnalog Filters - The 'VAnalog' filters are modelled after the famous ladder filter, so they self oscillate when the filter resonance is maxed out. They have a continuously variable slope, which is unique to SynthMaster. They have 3 different CPU settings: "Basic", "Normal" and "High". The Basic setting sounds similar to the other algorithms in most cases and consumes at least 50% less CPU.
  • Multimode Filters - With the new 'multimode' filter type, it is possible to switch from Lowpass to Bandpass to Highpass filter types continuously. For analog multimode filters, it is also possible to change the slope of the filter continuously from 0 dB/oct to 24 dB/oct.
  • Dual Filters - With the new 'dual' filter type, two multimode filters can be run simultaneously, either in parallel or in series. The mix ratios between the filters and the topology (parallel/series) between them can be changed continuously, as well as the modes and cutoff frequencies of the filters.
  • Comb Filters - Comb filters are digital filters used in physical modeling synthesis.
  • Rich set of Effects: SynthMaster features 11 different effect types: Distortion, LoFi, Ensemble, Phaser, 6 Band EQ, Compressor, Vocoder, Delay, Chorus, Tremolo, Reverb.

  • 11 types of effects - Distortion, LoFi, Ensemble, Phaser, 6 Band EQ, Compressor, Vocoder, Delay, Chorus, Tremolo, Reverb.
  • Flexible Effects Routing - Each of the 11 effect types can be inserted on any layer insert or on any of the 2 global effect bus inserts.
  • Before/Inside/After Filter Distortion - A distortion stage can be inserted before, after, or even inside the filters. For analog filters, the distortion is applied for each of the 4 filter stages in 'inside' mode.
  • Other features

  • Powerful Arpeggiator - The arpeggiator in SynthMaster features classic arpeggiator modes such as Up, Down, UpDown, DownUp, UpDown2, DownUp2, AsPlayed as well as Sequence, Chord and Arpeggiate modes. Each of the 32 steps of the arpeggiator has its own Velocity, Note Number, Note Length, Slide and Hold parameters.
  • Easy Parameters - SynthMaster features 8 easy knobs and 2 XY pads that can be freely assigned as modulation sources so that the complexity of the synth engine could be hidden away and only the most important parameters of a preset can be controlled by the user. The easy parameters can be globally linked to MIDI controllers, and they can be assigned automatically by SynthMaster as well.
  • Microtuning - SynthMaster supports Scala tuning, so tuning can be set either for each preset or globally by loading from a Scala tuning file.
  • Preset Browser - SynthMaster features a comprehensive preset browser with separate search criteria for instrument type, preset attributes, music style or preset author.
  • Online Presets - Registered users can upload their presets to the online preset library, or browse and download presets created by other registered users; using the preset browser right inside the plug-in window.
  • Multiple Skins - SynthMaster comes with 3 different skins in different color variations. Using the included user interface editor, users can not only customize the existing skins but also can create their own custom interfaces as well.
  • Importing MIDI patterns as Arpeggiator Sequence - Monophonic or even polyphonic (chord) MIDI patterns can be imported into the arpeggiators in SynthMaster by just dragging and dropping the MIDI file onto the arpeggiator view on the plugin window.
  • Importing WAV/AIFF Multisamples as SFZ definitions - Multisamples in WAV/AIFF formats could be imported into SynthMaster as SFZ definitions, by simply dragging and dropping the WAV/AIFF files onto the oscillator waveform view on the plugin window.
